"While I am not a professional food critic by any standard, I like to consider myself an individual with adventurous tastes and honest opinions. The service received from Hao Hao was beyond sub-par. While I don't blame them for the late delivery, or the fact that the delivery person wouldn't even deliver the food to the door but required me to exit my hotel accommodations and meet him outside for the order; I can most definitely blame them for the horrendous food that was delivered and the rude treatment I received when trying to speak to them about it. The ingredients for the food were excessively fatty, even for Asian dishes, and much of it was overcooked, stale tasting, or tasted like it was cooked after it had spoiled. I have eaten at more than 700 Asian food establishments, both westernized and traditional, and have never been made sick by food until here. Upon confronting the owner about the issue my complain was brushed off as Well your just not used to my cooking this may be true, as I will never be used to eating refuse, or food prepared with the intent of sickening people. Rest assured that this establishment will never again receive my business, and I highly recommend you take yours elsewhere in turn."

This is the pho your auntie would make if you had a cool Vietnamese auntie. Or at least that's what I want to believe because it always feels like I'm hanging with family.Pho is always good, but try the sour soup, too. Other stand-outs include the squid dish, bbq chicken bun and the egg foo young (best egg foo young I've ever had bar none). And the eggplant. Can't forget the eggplant.

I visited a local Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant in South Austin and unfortunately found it to be dark and closed during my first attempt. However, I gave it another chance. While the food had its moments of inspiration, it ultimately fell short. I was disappointed to find there was no fresh ginger or garlic in the dishes. The sauces felt pre-made and lacked depth. We are long-time customers of this lovely family owned restaurant. You cannot go without starting with their Vietnamese Spring Rolls. The peanut sauce is the best around.My go to is the chicken vermicelli. Everything is fresh and the fish sauce is perfect. My husband usually orders their Mu Shu and he raves about the plum sauce. He is also find of their Sesame Chicken and General Tsos chicken. If they have it, be sure to get the Mango Shrimp.Linh treats us like family even if we haven't visited in 13 years! (We moved to Maine So glad to be back and able to enjoy this wonderful restaurant!

Well, to start off; the food is okay; barely passable pho and downright horrible Vietnamese bbq pork; but my real issue is with the fact that the owner or at least the older female manager handled my food; my drink and my check while she was clearly sick,coughing and sniffling. I didn?t say anything about it in the moment but I noted it and surely enough I woke up the next morningwith a cold of my own; not only was this lady working, she wasn?t wearing a mask even! She could have had other staff membershandle customers things but she didn?t. She chose to get me sick for a quick buck instead. Stay far away!!
