"We had brunch on December 30. We made reservations and we seated upstairs. There is a big difference between the upstairs room and the downstairs one, although the downstairs one is quite nice as well. The food was very good. The service was excellent. You have a great view of the park and the ambience is quiet and soothing without being pretentious. There were other families there and they have enough for kids to eat, but the adult menu is wonderful. Additionally, they had vegan and gluten free options."

"If there's such a thing as French Bistro comfort food in Vermont, this is the place to get it. This is our favorite goes to spot for lunch or dinner year in and year out. During busy times it's difficult to get a reservation although sometimes they save spots for walk-ins. Outdoor dining on Church Street in season. Can't wait for its new sibling restaurant, Electra's, to open down the road in Shelburne."

"We love eating at Putnam Inn. Its long-time family owned hometown establishment with a great variety of home-cooked foods at an affordable price. The best thing is when you walk in and your waitress(Amanda E) already knows what you want to drink without having to ask, because she remembers her customers. That’s the kind of service that makes you feel welcome and “at home”. The dessert selection is just as excellent as the main food bar, which includes sugar free and vegan choices. Plus soft serve ice cream! Yum Can’t say enough good things, we love this place!"

"We have eaten here and done takeout during the pandemic to support this restaurant. The food is great and we've always had a good experience. So it was disappointing tonight, my friend's first time out in over a year, when the service waiter and others was unfriendly, hurried and almost non existent. Even though they were not fully booked. Then when we had barely finished our main course and before we were done with our drinks they told us we'd have to move to the bar or pay and leave. Never asked if we wanted dessert. Then brought our check. The explanation was that they needed our table for a bigger party. So we quickly downed our drinks and had to leave. It was like we were in the way. If it wasn't for the food and great beer choices, I would not go back. Will likely try one more time to see if it was a fluke"

"We were greeted at the door by someone who told us they didn 't have a booster seat for our 3yr old after I had already called and inquired about it and was told they did. The person just stood there staring at me saying I 'm sorry , and didn 't offer to seat us.Finally, I had to ask, Are you going to seat us or what. Once we were seated, the food was ok. Our waffles were burned a bit, but it was ok. It just wasn 't a good start to my Mother 's Day."

"We were celebrating our grown daughter’s birthday with her sister and the evening was perfect. Our daughter loves French food and the Paris Bistro did not disappoint. The food, the service, the ambience were all wonderful. Everyone on the staff went out of their way to make the evening special and memorable. "The place is small and quaint and flat breads are good. However, I ordered salmon croquets and they were mostly potatoes in what looked like a panko coating. Not worth the price and super small. My friend ordered chicken curry. The equivalent of 4 or5 small bites on a kabob; not worth the price. There was a lady at the bar that was so incredibly loud, it was disturbing others across the room. I know that's not the establishments fault but.... we also waited to be seated while employees walkedpast us repeatedly until finally, a man who I assume is the manager asked if we've been helped. The service wasn't that greatbut I think our server may have been new so that gets a pass too. Doubtful I'll be back."

"Went to Waterzooi in Garden City last night for date night with hubby, food was great it never disappoints. Lucifer Mussels are always on point, with just enough kick. The steak frites was perfectly cooked. Our Pinot noir was a nice addition to our delicious dinner. Service was good and always with a smile. To end our dinner we had a simple but yet tasty pistachio gelato. Sometimes simple is more as our lovely waitress put it. Thank you Waterzooi for being consistent. See you soon."

"The food was amazing. We had the escargot, the tuna tartare, the blue point oysters and to finish it all we had a lobster roll with truffle french fries with this mayonnaise that was absolutely delicious. Every dish was superb and dipping the bread in the escargot sauce was just amazing because it's butter, olive oil and garlic so dipping the bread in that was just amazing."

"We had an amazingly outstanding meal here. Sometimes a hotel restaurant feels like just a default “lazy” choice, but not this place. All of the food was really outstanding, the prices for the “Lounge Menu” were surprisingly reasonable especially for the quality and the servings very generous.But the best part of our experience was our wonderful server Afton! So professional, attentive and warm, she even brought some bacon to our table and suggested we crumble it on top of the cornbread skillet because its her favorite thing (she was spot on).We love staying at this hotel (Hilton Oceanfront) and we’ll be back. Pro tip: When you check into the hotel they give you a coupon to get a free dessert with each Entrée, Entree salad, or sandwich from this restaurant which made it an even more fantastic deal. (But if you use that please remember to tip on the full amount— especially if your server is Afton"

"The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The shrimp were all jumbo. 6 shrimp. If you like escargot, they make it for you there-slight hint of Pernod. Plenty of garlic and herbs. Not the best I've ever had but it was a decent attempt. The burger was definitely dreadful being overdone the bun was dry. The French fries were cold, soggy and tasted like frozen fries heated in an oven left out and then reheated in an attempt to save them. Awful for a restaurant of this caliper. The bartender knows how to make a very dry martini. I'd go back to try an entree. The blackened salmon sandwich was decent. But, alas, the same dreadful fries were served with it. Don't have the fries at lunch."

"It was just as good as ever. Upon arrival the hostess was very pleasant and had our table waiting. Service was excellent; Kevin didn’t rush us, gave us plenty of time to enjoy cocktails and between each course without hovering. We both ordered the tempura lobster as an appetizer. It was presented nicely, although to my liking the chili sauce could be toned down just a bit. Both of us agree the Dover Sole is the best anywhere. Filleted table side, accompaniments of baby carrots, fresh green beans and pan seared potatoes. While the meunière sauce was a finishing touch but yet not to overpower the delicate sole. I declined dessert, my guest ordered the Apple strudel. She neglected to mention her allergies to strawberries while the presentation had a drizzle of berry sauce. It was immediately removed only to be returned as a fresh plate. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to make the evening most enjoyable. It’s so sad to see this restaurant and an era of fine dining disappear."

"Marco’s is our favorite spot to stop with our dog for a delicious meal at any time of day. The Huevos Rancheros are fantastic, but the real highlight is the dinner specials. While the specials are a bit pricier than the usual entrees—expect to spend at least $20 per person—they are absolutely worth it. Today, we enjoyed the cattle short ribs along with fish and chips, and surprisingly, the fish outshone many we’ve had in other regions this season. Our server, Mariana, was AMAZING—I can't say enough good things about her. She even brought our pup some water and was attentive to everything else we needed. Her wonderful service and warm personality truly made our experience even more special."

"From 9/29/21: Anyways must have changed kitchen staff recently. This is my second disappointing order in a row. The pretzel sticks are burnt and as hard as a rock. There is no way these should have been served. Please view video with this review. I want you to see what I mean. From 2020/ original review: I wish I had taken pictures but I literally inhaled everything I ordered and am now sitting here trying to fend off a food coma. The Italian beef egg rolls are amazing. A tad bit on the salty side but crispy on the outside, hot and spicy on the inside and overall delicious. The cool ranch wrap was incredible. Upgraded the side item to the Black and Tan onion rings, another good choice on my part. The guac was so flavorful, but I didn’t try the salsa that came with it because I ordered 2 desserts the molten chocolate cake and key lime pie. If you love rich chocolatey desserts, go for the molten cake. You won’t regret it. The key lime pie was light, tart and creamy. "

"We loved the breakfast menu here, including the great selection of adult beverages! Our waitress was on point, our food arrived quickly and everything was as ordered. We also took home a pack of pumpkin waffles! Great food and excellent service. We had a beautiful view of the bridge even though it was a gloomy day. The manager even stopped by to see how we were doing. We would definitely return when we get back to Cincinnati."
