"It was just as good as ever. Upon arrival the hostess was very pleasant and had our table waiting. Service was excellent; Kevin didn’t rush us, gave us plenty of time to enjoy cocktails and between each course without hovering. We both ordered the tempura lobster as an appetizer. It was presented nicely, although to my liking the chili sauce could be toned down just a bit. Both of us agree the Dover Sole is the best anywhere. Filleted table side, accompaniments of baby carrots, fresh green beans and pan seared potatoes. While the meunière sauce was a finishing touch but yet not to overpower the delicate sole. I declined dessert, my guest ordered the Apple strudel. She neglected to mention her allergies to strawberries while the presentation had a drizzle of berry sauce. It was immediately removed only to be returned as a fresh plate. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to make the evening most enjoyable. It’s so sad to see this restaurant and an era of fine dining disappear."

amazing, as expected. quaint, beautiful building, cozy fireplace, wonderful ambiente, to add the excellent menu and cocktails. I have a hard time not to choose escargot when I am here; it is wonderfully prepared. beef wellington was the main retreat, also as ordered prepared. so disappointed to hear that this wonderful restaurant will close soon. they are missing!

Amazing, as expected. Quaint, beautiful farmhouse, cozy fireplace, wonderful ambience to complement the outstanding menu and cocktails. I have a hard time not choosing the escargot when I am here; it's prepared wonderfully. Beef Wellington was the main entree, also prepared exactly as ordered. This is a beautiful restaurant in a romantic setting evocative of a colonial inn. It is also well situated in Exton (Lionsville), with ample, easy parking. The various dining rooms are charmingly appointed and the music on weekends is a plus (some guests even sang along, a nice addition). But that is where the positives stop: the service while appropriate was perfunctory and less than friendly; the food was good but not exceptional or even very good (the exception being the excellent and way over priced deserts); the prices exorbitantly ridiculous. Save your money (even if you have enough to throw away) and go to a place where they show respect for their clients who make for their livelihood...
