"I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the music was incredible—it truly transported me back to the 1990s with nothing but great tunes. The Chili Dog was flavorful and created an explosion of taste in my mouth. The Corn was also excellent. The only downside was the parking situation, but I will definitely be returning!"

"Unfortunately, The Lost Cajun was not as I expected. We started off with the Gator Bites fried pickles no complaints there. We ordered the Jambalaya,blackened fish stirfry, small seafood boil. (Not the season for crawfish so those aren’t available) the rice had very little flavor but the fish crab were very flavorful so it hardly balanced it out. The seafood boil was cold and because of that the shrimp was hard to peel. We had the beignet and it was delicious!!our server was really nice thats what made me change this review to 4 stars."

"We arrived at 9pm on Saturday night, right when live music began. As a group of 8, we waited for a solid hour until being seated, but were amazed at how quickly food arrived after we ordered. I was pleased with the Bayou burger, side of 50/50 fries. Loved the chipotle aioli for dipping and on the burger as well. My wife ordered the special carne asada tacos, which were too spicy for her taste, but she ate them up. Siblings had grilled pizzas and muffuletta with gumbo. In addition to some 50/50 fries to share, we ordered the artichoke dip and it disappeared fast. Our server, Travis, was on the ball for drink refills (especially considering we had zero alcohol at our table, which was impressive). Everything that wasn't eaten went home in boxes - we were all pleased, even considering the wait. Would certainly go back again."

"I came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm with two others. The mimosas and A1: deliciousness is a gland and worth every penny and more--especially with 75¢ refills! While the brunch offerings are limited, the food they did was was tasty. The waitress was one of the best I've had: super attentive, friendly, honest about offerings and she also ensured that our glasses were never empty. If for no other reason, than the mimosas."

"Found this location by checking for BBQ nearby, what a great find!! Excellent venue in the old restored grist mill!! Outstanding food items enjoyed by all four of us! Ribs, pulled pork (2 orders), and combo platter. Enjoyed the sides as well, beans, Cole slaw had good flavor, corn maque choux enjoyed for it's bit of kick of heat, Mac n cheese nice, and corn bread with honey finished a great meal for all!! Good service for our after 1pm arrival, reservations are suggested which we didn't have and still were seated quickly and ended up in a room by ourselves after large group left. Great atmosphere which the owner said previous owners completed prior to their purchase. They are surviving the pandemic by the skin of their teeth thank heavens!! Please support this location locally! We need great places to survive to enjoy once again as we get back out to enjoy ourselves!! Check it out when you are in the area, or make a short drive south of Dubuque to Bellevue!!"

"Delicious Cajun cuisine! My wife really enjoyed the fried catfish and bacon-wrapped shrimp. The jambalaya was exceptional, with just the right amount of spice to give you a little kick without being overwhelming. The portion sizes are excellent for the price you pay. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. The only downside was the dim lighting, which I wasn't a fan of. However, there was great music playing, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm atmosphere, especially since we’re new to the area. It’s definitely a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a good meal after a long day at work. We'll definitely be back to try more items from their menu!"

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, thanks to its beautiful atmosphere, lively music, and numerous TVs showcasing a variety of sports. The service was exceptional, especially from our waitress, Cheers, who was an absolute delight and incredibly kind. The food was delicious, and I was impressed by the kitchen staff's punctuality. It's also great to know you can stay until closing time. There's a club called The Hideaway connected to the restaurant, which allows the party to continue into the night. This is a fantastic spot to visit if you're from out of town and looking for some Mississippi hospitality, or if you live nearby and need a quick break from your usual routine. Stop by for a drink and some wings—you won't be disappointed!"

"I've visited this place three times now, and I absolutely love it! It's the perfect size—not too big and not too small. I attended the Boogie Down Brunch, and I really appreciate the concept; it’s essentially a family-friendly brunch day party. My daughter loved the hands-on art activities provided, and so did the rest of us. The music and drinks were fantastic. My only suggestion would be to consider having the food served buffet-style, perhaps with a waffle station. Overall, we had a wonderful time!"

"I visited New Orleans for three reasons: first, to pick up my grandnieces and take them back to their dad; second, to see my old workplace at 4400 Dauphine Street, which I was sad to find hasn’t recovered since 2005; and third, to enjoy a shrimp Po'Boy that would remind me of the ones I loved in 1993. After looking through various restaurant reviews, I chose Avery's, and I’m so glad I did. It surpassed my memories from 1993 by a long shot—the flavors were outstanding! The seafood gumbo was truly exceptional, even better than anything I tasted in the early '90s, and I had tried dishes from both locals and top restaurants. The fried potato salad was an unexpected delight. This place embodies true New Orleans. The service was quick and friendly, and the food would satisfy anyone’s taste buds. I enjoyed it so much that I bought eight Po'Boys to take home to Kissimmee, hoping they’ll make the journey intact!"

"Planned to host a party here in August so I paid a deposit of $49.80 April 26th. My receipt shows that I was charged for pina colada daiquiri just to poduce a receipt. There would also be a $50 charge for cleanup. I got a larger venue so I didn't need the spot after all. Informed owner May 5th via phone that I was no longer needing her spot. May 8th May 10th she would not respond to texts. I was still wanting to pay her to provide appetizers even tho we were not going to use her spot. IF YOU NEEDED THE $50 THAT BAD YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID IT ! You would have made more than the $100 that you were asking. So much for trying to support your people. Tamekia you taught me NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITHOUT A CONTRACT. I didn't expect this from you. Having read some of the reviews, I'm glad you are not providing food for me.Anita"
