"Beautiful Views. Horrible Food. Egregiously Priced. Stay Away. Angel Oak has the benefits of being perched on the edge of a ridge overlooking the ocean, and located on The Ritz Carlton Bacara property. As a result, they are able to charge extreme prices for the most basic of wines and the most pedestrian of foods. And, when I say pedestrian, I mean borderline laughable. My $25 Caesar salad was bluntly chopped romaine leaves with what tasted like Newman’s Caesar dressing. The $32 Duck Fat Fried Octopus was severely over-seasoned with some kind of pork rub (they call guajillo rub) and severely over-cooked to the point that it had the consistency of rubber. My $78 Double R Ranch USDA Prime Filet was the worst steak I have ever had at a restaurant. At fine steak houses I always order a petit filet done blue rare because it allows me to taste the quality of the meat. In this case, I mind as well have been eating Play-Doh because the steak was cold mush; with a sear. Based on the taste and consistency, this poor piece of meat was likely vacuum sealed, frozen, thawed, cooked (when I ordered it) and left under a heat lamp (until we were ready). The only reason I did not make a fuss is because my wife begged me not to. But, this restaurant should fire their chef immediately. Brutal."

"Food was disappointing. Nice view of the Bluff. Checked the menu on OpenTable: Lobster Tagliatelle was listed at $42. We were looking forward to order it. When we arrived at the restaurant, the menu said Tagliatelle $42, add Lobster $47. Lobster Tagliatelle $89!! We mentioned it to our server who said that several guests have complained about it and that the managers did not care. Outrageously overpriced. The food in general was not that good here; we did not finish it. Very disappointing after coming from Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch, where every dish and meal were excellent and we wanted more!"

"Okay... E3... They 've been on my list since they opened but we just haven 't made time to go. I 'm glad we finally did and can confidently say that, based on my experience last night, this is one of the best steakhouses in Nashville. They have been open since November 2019, just before you know what, and had all the same struggles as everyone else in the service industry, but over the last six months or so they 've been able to make an incredible come back. A couple different GMs, a couple different chefs, etc, etc. That said, the team that is there last night absolutely seems to have their stuff together. We were able to meet several members of the staff and every single one of them was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Service is obviously the driving factor here and it was, in every way possible, top notch. This is a high end restaurant and the experience, obviously, comes with a higher price tag. That said, there were several things I noticed during service that absolutely elevated the experience and made the cost worth it for us. One was the interaction of the staff with their guests. The section of the restaurant in which we were seated was basically in the middle of the room giving us rhe opportunity to see most of what was going on and from what I could tell everyone was well taken care of. For us personally, our server (Sofia and server assistant (Maria were both engaging and knowledgeable, table side exchanges with both Chef Steven and the sommelier (Dino were professional but friendly, and we also had an opportunity to meet the new GM (Michael who was beyond generous with his time and gave us a quick tour of the restaurant after dinner. There were a few other things like Sofia sharpening our steak knives at the table before presentation and Maria bringing a trolley to the table to box our leftovers that were just nice little extra touches that made the experience better and I personally enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely return. (Oh... Complimentary valet parking is also available. Not having been, I was a little confused on how to get there, but trust your GPS. It was right and I didn 't listen. "

"We were celebrating our friends’ birthdays so it was a special occasion. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! Anita was so attentive. Our friends each received a hand written card from the restaurant. It was a perfect evening."

"I have recently had to become vegetarian for a health issue. And this restaurant was amazingly accommodating. I started with the goat cheese and tomato appetizer. It came with a crisp on top that was deliciously salted. I got a vegetable plate (pictured below) that was beyond delectable. It pretty much hit every flavor on your palate. Cauliflower, Broccoli, shaved carrots all covered in a citrus vinaigrette; then with savory grains, purple rice with parmesan cheese, polenta and a beautiful tomato filled with couscous. Then umami mushrooms with leafy greens and edible floral arrangements. It was aesthetically joyful and completely filling. I havenât cleaned my plate in awhile but here you have no choice highly recommended to anyone looking for something fresh, high quality, and well priced."

"First time here on Friday 7 8 22. Everything was spectacular. Best burger I have ever had that wagyu burger bun was in a league of its own too even. Loved the house made ricotta toast every bit as perfect as it was when I had it at Burger and Barrel before the pandemic closed it"

"As we were reminded at the end of our meal, this was our 16th time to dine at Atchafalaya. So the bar has been set very high over the years. Our 16th had to rank up with all of our best! Heather Dawn's (HD) service was perfect. Never intrusive, great suggestions, terrific banter- totally spot on! Our choices for apps and dinner were excellent, it's amazing that the quality has never declined at all. The support staff was always there right on time to do whatever was appropriate. The other thing that amazes me is that whenever we dine, the staff always recognizes that we are returning customers. I've NEVER experienced this at any of our finer dining spots. Only at our local hangouts. All in all, another fantastic evening at Atchafalaya! Thanks so much!!!!!!!"

"party of seven to birthday party. had a reservation with much note. two small tables of different heights were pushed together. uneven heights made it difficult for two people to find a place to put a plate. the order was accepted quite quickly. servier plates, appetizers and beverages were taken out within 10 minutes. it took a while until the dinner arrived. while we waited, no one came to the table to remove the empty appetizers and plates. when six of the seven dinners arrived, the server pressed the plates simply on the table and went away. So, now we are faced with six escapes, seven empty feed plates and four empty feed tablets and several empty drinks is on two small uneven tables. it took one because to find our server to ask for the 7th escape. also asked them to remove the empty feed plates and tablets. I think she forgot to order the 7th escape based on how long it took until it finally came out. Of course, at that time everyone else was eating ice cold. has not complained. it was. next I see the check has dropped. we probably told the server at least three times that we celebrate birthday. yet she falls off the hustle and bustle without asking if someone wanted something else to be gloomy? with a coaxing from us, the server has taken over the desert order. of course was served gloomy without removing any of the tellers. overall, unpleasant experience. eating was not only cold, but subpar, and that's nice. strong hit them another place to spend $275 for cold, lousy burger, fries service."

"Cool place with a casual chic atmosphere. Not too trendy, not too classic, just the perfect mix. Vichy tablecloths, red leather seats, copper and wood. Fun monkey illustrations on the wall. The room in the back is a bit fancier. Good cocktails, decent selection of wine. Live piano when we were there on a Saturday night. Service was not enthusiastic but good enough."

"Reluctantly visited with a group. Decent beer selection and lively, family-friendly atmosphere. However, the ribs were not as tender as expected and the salads were bland and unappetizing. I believe opting for the pulled pork would have been a better choice, and the hot mess nachos were enjoyable. Overall, not likely to return for a meal."

"we had no great experience. we were the only table in the whole restaurant for lunch. the waiter forgot our food. the people stole the wrong court. Generally, it is not a good idea to simply go the table, put plates before them without confirming that it was her. he completely forgot that one of my colleagues had ordered at all, and when she was the only one without a meal at the table, he remembered and brought her an orange juice as an apology. he didn't ask her what she wanted, but she brought back a drink she didn't drink. so strange. eating was ok, but not worthy of the walk from the office. I could see that they have to eat here because they stay in the hotel, but don't eat there if they have other options."

"The food is a three, the service is a five, so I’ll assign four stars. No-frills pub with pub staples like fish n chips, shepherds pie, hot chicken sliders, crab dip, tater tots, fries, burgers, and other types of sammies. I had the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese (wish I had remembered to ask for bacon). It was hot and creamy, but I think it could have used some seasoning. I also had the Nashville hot chicken sliders. I understand what they were trying to go for with the breading, but my patties weren’t terribly cohesive, and the breading fell off after a couple bites. I had the cucumber cooler, the Paloma, and another drink at the recommendation of my server. All of them were pretty good, especially at 15 dollars, but none were breathtaking. My server was understated, but very attentive. She gave me recommendations on the menu. And when a large 10 top was sat right next to my single table, she astutely noticed how that might diminish my dining experience and moved me right away. Prices were very fair, especially given the area. Most things were 12-15 dollars. The most expensive thing is the fish n chips at 23 dollars. Would I got back here again and again? Nah. It’s basic bar food and decent drinks. But the service was excellent and it was a convenient snack on a long day out. I definitely don’t regret stopping in."

"Reluctantly, I would recommend this place if you’re with a group. They have a decent selection of beers and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. However, the ribs were tough and didn’t fall off the bone as expected, and the salads lacked flavor—they were quite basic and unappetizing. I think the pulled pork might have been a better choice, though the hot mess nachos were pretty good. I don’t plan on dining here again."

"Our server, a woman whose name I unfortunately do not remember, was wonderful. Knowledgeable, professional, warm. I ordered the ribeye between medium-rare and medium , hoping I wouldn 't come across as difficult. She smiled and said I know just what you mean, and it came out perfectly. I could go on and on, just take my word, please! All of the other waitstaff were equally great. Good cocktails and dessert, too."

"The recent renovation has definitely made a positive difference. The food and service at this restaurant are consistently excellent. We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner, but unfortunately the Bronzini was a bit dry. It seems like it may have been precooked due to the busy holiday crowd. When making a reservation for a party of two, be aware that you might end up at a small high top table in the bar area that is uncomfortably close to the next table, resulting in a possibility of rubbing elbows with your neighbors."

"Nice place! I went to a Saturday brunch with some Friends. We elected to do bottomless mimosas for the Unfortunately the waiter was very slow with refilling our drinks. I had to get up from the table multiple times so see if he had forgotten about us. I would recommended this restaurant but just be aware that they workers are on their own schedule!"

"Update: I've returned here since my initial review and every visit has been excellent. Definitely a must try in Midtown! Really really impressed. Mind you I came here for the Valentines Day dinner, so my experience is a little different but I definitely plan to return. Gluten free accommodations were off the hook! So many options I felt like I had no limits. The food- incredibly thoughtful. Not sweet, and for me just right given that it was a 4 course meal. Portions were actually very good, by the end I was stuffed. The patio area is absolutely beautiful and one of the shining gems of this restaurant, we sat just near the glass because it was cold and we were staring out at it all night! Indoor is beautiful as well. The service was top notch. I have no real complaints here, it’s a little pricey but I knew this walking in. Loved every minute and it felt like an experience."

"I don't even know where to begin. This had to. E one of my BEST experiences as far a food, ambiance, customer service and drinks all being a I had nothing bad to say about this place. Fro. The moment we walked in to check in for our reservation the host and as welcoming and inviting and just nice. Our waiter was extremely nice I am so sorry I can't remember his name but he was the absolutely sweetest a most gracious waiter. He was getting assistance from Sarah, at least since we couldn't make up our minds she came back and took our order. I had a Tito's Lemon Drop Martini no sugar on the rim and it was PERFECT! Now the food. I had the mussels my husband had the buffalo chicken fingers as an appetizer. Both were delicious. However they made a mistake and did one of the finger fish instead of chicken. Can I say I wasn't made cause it was good as hell! I told them they should out it on the menu. I had the crab cake as a main w the lobster Mac, mushrooms and spinach. My husband had the salmon with mash potatoes and spinach. Both of us highly enjoyed our meal. Oh I almost forgot. The broth from the mussels was to die for. I love broth, and there was so much left I didn't want to let it go, so Sarah offered to pack it to go for me. I had the creme brulee and my husband the Carmel cheesecake. Again to die. After all that the manager came and apologied for the one wrong chicken fingers which we laughed at. Personally I thought I was the best surprise.in addition they gave us fish tacos to go. Which we ate the next day and damn eye roll with a smiley face...AMAZEBALLS!!! AGAIN hands down this was the best dinner holistically hands down! Thank you guys for such AMAZING SERVICE! WE WILL BE BACK!"

"We have enjoyed visits to other Roy's locations in the past, and this one did not disappoint. The food was as good as always, and the service provided by Daniel was nothing short of excellent. When my wife's main course came out on the cool side he immediately got her a freshly cooked and hot one, and apologized by offering us a free dessert. Overall a very good experience. we will continue to visit Roy's locations when we can as we know we will be in for a good meal and service"

"a mediocre experience. I am from the city and lied on online reviews. I do not enjoy. I sat in the sushi bar and no recognition of my essentiality from the sushi balls from beginning to end. the sushi and nitriri lacked all the creative flair, quite bland and innocuous. nothing was either really bad or good, except the prices are high for such a meal. also the service is missing. my bottled water was delivered at the mealtimes, end my waiter asked me to pay at the same time. I dared him and he returned within 30 seconds and requested the payment."
