"I've been living nearby for about three years, and during that time, the restaurant underwent renovations. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed an infestation of flies in the back of the store near the candy wall, close to where they prepare their deli meats. I brought this issue to the attention of someone who appeared to be the owner, but they were dismissive. I went back today, and the flies are still there. I plan to contact the NYS Department of Agriculture, hoping that will prompt them to take action. The situation is definitely not sanitary. I’ll update my review once the fly problem is resolved."

"Today was our second visit to Stir for brunch. We love the cold buffet bar that you can enjoy while waiting for your entrees and the excellent prices on their mimosas. We arrived at a busy time waited about 30 minutes for a table. Not a big deal as we enjoyed the live music and adult beverages while we waited. Once we were seated and ordered, we ended up waiting almost an hour for our meals. This was not the case on our first visit so I think there was a mix up with the kitchen. We didn’t really notice the wait initially as we were enjoying drinks and nibbling on goodies from the buffet. However, a manager came by to apologize for the wait and took ALL of our meals off our bill he initiated this as we hadn’t even complained or said a word regarding the wait. I’ve never had anyone do that and we were all impressed at the length they went to at ensuring we were satisfied. Will definitely return for another meal in the future. I highly recommend Stir for the food, drinks and atmosphere."

"This is a very nice store that is well organized and well maintained. The night cashier is a really great guy. The store offers locals and visitors a wide variety of premium select products. Their deli features a fantastic selection of freshly cooked food to order, and the buffet has an extensive variety to satisfy any appetite. Overall, it's an excellent store."

"I reserved an igloo to celebrate my birthday with my husband, parents, and in laws (6 total). We have never done anything like this before and had the best time. I typically don't write reviews but felt compelled to because of the unique experience. We had great service (both our server Cody and restaurant manager Gwen were taking care of us and were awesome), the temperature was perfect (they have multiple heaters on and blankets available in case you get chilly but also said they can turn up/down heaters at request), the igloo itself was spacious and well decorated, and per usual, the food was great. While it might be a bit costly up front, $200 is easy to hit with 6 people who are ordering food and drinks. We had the best time and I would hands down do it again. We all felt beyond safe as far as COVID goes it's your own little bubble!Perfect for a celebration of any sort, girls night out, you name it!"

"Well it started off strong, we were welcomed in and took a seat. Menu looked awesome and I tried an omelet with potatoes along with my husband and then my son had an egg with bacon and potatoes. My son and husbands potatoes were the regular fried potatoes but for some reason when they brought my potatoes, they were like steamed and almost mashed. I have no idea what happened but I don’t really understand how two plates of regular fried potatoes could be brought out and then give one person steamed potatoes and there’s absolutely no way they were ever fried. I wish I would’ve taken a picture, they were disgusting. But I still truly would like to understand why the other two guests at my table plus everyone else in the room were given regular fried potatoes and I wasn’t. I’m sure I’ll never be given the answer but I will say we will never be back. Food is too expensive to be given what I was given today."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. My friends and I decided to visit after being turned away from some of the trendy spots in Southport on a Monday night. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a few beers. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent and provided us with great recommendations. We were amazed to discover that all drafts were only $4 after our second round of drinks. The food, including tenders and fries, was delicious and perfect for a bar setting. The restaurant had a large selection of drafts, a great patio, delicious food, and excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"This charming Italian restaurant has a nostalgic old-world feel that transports you to a different era. Despite the snowy day, the lunch crowd was light, but the food was exceptional. The fresh, delicious bread and light, fragrant homemade minestrone were a hit. The shrimp dish was excellent as well. To top it off, our waiter surprised us with a delicious dessert adorned with a chocolate message for my girlfriend's birthday. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant."

"We order our Sunday morning breakfast here almost every week. Whatever we order is either good or excellent. Pancake, cheese omelet, eggs stirred eggs or sunny side up they were all good. We always call in order and when we arrive there, it is usually ready on the pickup table. I've never eaten there, but in the weekend morning when I go, there are usually a number of people waiting for a table."

"The staff at Honey Dew Donuts are friendly and well-informed, providing quick service regardless of the time. The only drawback is that they start closing early, about 15-30 minutes before the official closing time. For example, if they close at 6, they begin locking the doors at 5:30 and are completely closed by 5:45, even though they’re not supposed to do this."

"The outdoor seating arrangement is fantastic, featuring individual booths. I enjoy visiting this place for drinks or a leisurely lunch or happy hour. They offer an extensive drink menu, including non-alcoholic options like Arnold Palmers, as well as sparkling wine, draft beer, and cocktails. I particularly liked their fall salad, which was both delicious and satisfying, featuring yellow and red beets with arugula and goat cheese tossed in a light vinaigrette dressing."

"We had a reservation and we were on time. The hostess said there would be a thirty minute wait. I complained and the manager came over and said since we had a reservation we’d only have to wait 15-20 minutes. WHAT! We had theater tickets and had to be on time. We were finally seated 20 minutes later and then after waiting almost 10 minutes to even get water we got up to leave. The server finally came over. We stayed and ordered. The food was OK. We gobbled down the food, which is not a desirable way to eat. We got out of there as fast as we could. As Seinfeld said in an episode when renting a car, “you know how to take a reservation but don’t know how to keep it. We’ll never go back."

"Great place for happy hour and dinner with friends. Three of us went there for an early dinner on a Friday. The weather was beautiful.so the big doors were open and we were able to sit outside but still feel the vibe from the inside. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, fresh, and the portion sizes were filling but not too much. This would be a great place to bring friends, the family or for a date night."

"Our dinner here was incredibly disappointing. Our table for six was clearly meant for only four, as my seat was half on the tile next to the window and not even fully on the carpet. The service was very slow, it took 30min just to get our initial drink orders in, another 20 for appetizers, and a full hour after we sat down to put our main order in and at least get some bread on the table. My husband ordered a manhattan and just got a glass of whiskey on ice, and had to flag someone down after 10 minutes to get it corrected because there was no follow-up from our server. The calamari was rubbery to the point of being difficult to chew. I ordered a medium rare filet and received medium well. We split the check 3 ways, one for each couple, and they were all incorrect with either drinks or appetizers put on another 's bill. This was not at all the fine dining experience we expected, and it certainly wasn 't worth the price tag. EDIT 24JUN2024: I tried emailing the address provided in the response below and received a 550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied. bounce-back."

"Consistently good food in the hot and cold bars. Pay by the weight and it's easy to get good food with lots of choices for a good price. It's also easy to get carried away and spend too much so be careful . The food tastes good though. Being able to get salmon and different meats with lots of vegetable and fruit choices is awesome. Also they have different food stations where you can get made to order sandwiches, sushi, ramen and salads. The cashiers are very nice too!"

"I had high expectations with the reviews. Planned accordingly and made a reservation. Seating was easy and not crowded at all. Ordered crab dip as an appetizer and was surprised to have it served in a soup bowl. The consistency was so thick it didn’t even fall off the spoon. The flavor was good but would have loved to see it in a flatter dish with some cheese on top. For dinner I order the filet medium. My steak was over cooked and lacking flavor. The other half ordered the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was the thinnest, flattest crab cake I had ever seen. Parmesan crusted salmon was also ordered and came to the table burnt on the outside. When sent back and asking for plain salmon it came back to the table under cooked."

"We had just arrived in New Haven for an afternoon exploring the Yale campus and were searching for lunch close to our hotel, the Graduate New Haven, and the nearby parking garage. The restaurant caught our eye with its clean appearance and a lovely outdoor patio, but we opted for the cooler, less crowded indoor seating. We started with a Caesar salad to share. He ordered a chicken gyro, while I went for the traditional lamb gyro. Both were absolutely delicious and came in generous portions. The staff was friendly and welcoming as well!"
