"we had no great experience. we were the only table in the whole restaurant for lunch. the waiter forgot our food. the people stole the wrong court. Generally, it is not a good idea to simply go the table, put plates before them without confirming that it was her. he completely forgot that one of my colleagues had ordered at all, and when she was the only one without a meal at the table, he remembered and brought her an orange juice as an apology. he didn't ask her what she wanted, but she brought back a drink she didn't drink. so strange. eating was ok, but not worthy of the walk from the office. I could see that they have to eat here because they stay in the hotel, but don't eat there if they have other options."

"Maybe an off nite? The menu looked amazing! It just seemed that our food was not outstanding by any means. We are well well traveled and “foodies” by definition ,100% Italian. Unfortunately, my husband and I were underwhelmed with our menu choices tonight. We ordered apps including Veal meatballs over spiced, potato leek soup very creamy little flavor and Arancini the only authentic Italian food that we ate tonight. The lobster to tortellini was very fishy and the squid dyed pasta made the smell difficult to swallow literally. Service on the other hand was outstanding ! Cocktails were also delicious."

"Went here on the recommendation of my daughter but was surprised by the size of the room. Did not enjoy a quiet evening as a neighboring room had loud music playing until 2 am plus the AC fan had an annoying droning sound all evening too boot.. One of the more overpriced rooms I have experienced. Ate at the restaurant with my granddaughter and the food was excellent but it didn't make up for the bad experience vis-a-vis the room. I recommend eating here and staying somewhere else unless you like paying $500+ for a smallish room and a so-so nighttime experience."

"Everything is set for a great experience, cool environment, very attentive staff, great looking menu but the food was so blah I don’t think I’d be back. I ordered eggs Benedict; my bad I suppose for not reading deeper but it came on toast, not toasted toast, tasted like dry bread. No Canadian bacon, regular bacon with a runny cool to the tongue poached egg. Flavorless. My friend had a salad with chicken on top. The chicken looked so dry it resembled shale rock on pretty greens, the portion was also quite small."

"I worked here in the early 90's when it was the Newark-Fremont Hilton. With the name changed, they have update the restaurant area and it looks much nicer than what I remembered.Came here for Mother's Day Brunch. They had a variety of food items. Take a look at the photo for all the buffet menu, too many to type out, LOL!!! The Prime-Rib was one of the better ones I had, very juicy and tender cooked perfectly. Good flavor au jus sauce!!! You really can't find good prime-rib at a buffet, but this is very good. The King Crab legs were over cook and chewy, but still edible. This is the reason why I didn't give this review a 5 stars.The service was great, kept the mimosas flowing.Oh you can't beat the price."

"It’s unfair to compare Flavour as it is now compared to what it was under the original ownership, and those who have done so in the reviews are out of line and clearly think too highly of their own opinions, most of which are poorly formed pastiches of original thought. We ordered all four courses plus dessert, and the dishes were brought out in a timeline appropriate for a structured, multi-course meal. Those complaining about wait times clearly have either no experience in elevated dining, or have a secret dislike of their own company or the company of their friends or partners. The courses themselves were plated beautifully and tasted wonderful, and we had the opportunity to overhear the chefs create some dishes on the fly for a vegetarian family (to great result, from what I heard). Is Flavour what it used to be? No, and that’s exactly the point. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the food and the service, and I’m excited to see Chef Gomez’s vision continue to grow and evolve over the coming months."

"Came in with a friend for a bite to eat and a beer. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and how great of a place it was. The bartender was awesome what a wonderful personality. He greeted us with a smile and was very intent on making us have an enjoyable experience. We were able to taste a couple beers before we decided on the ones we wanted. I love that. We also grabbed a couple things to eat I got to admit this is one of the best burgers I've had. How would I describe it? Well. If you asked Gordon Ramsay to reconstruct an In-N-Out Burger it would take something like this. I ate every bite and killed the fries too! I will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience...."

"What a nice restaurant! The room is large and airy. The occasion was our daughter's birthday, and we were looking for a restaurant that had a lot of vegetarian options and was local and responsible. We were thrilled by the amount of options they had on the menu. Like many dishes have floral accents, this is the theme of the restaurant. I admit that although I found my food delicious, I could not personally taste the flowers accents in the descriptions. My mother had the trout she enjoyed very much, my daughter had the pappardelle that is homemade, fresh and tasty, with a citrus accent in the sauce. When it arrived, the part seemed small to the eyes, but it was very full. I had the potato gnocchi. I liked her very much, but I will admit to enjoying my daughters even more. We all agreed that the potatoes and lotus root chips we had on the side were absolutely fabulous. My daughter wondered if they could pack the lotus raw chips and sell them in machines! She said they made the perfect snack. The restaurant is disabled. There are absolutely no stairs at the entrance. It's easy to navigate with a walker. Everyone who helped us was knowledgeable and attentive. From the description online we expected a lot more flowers like a flower shop, so we were a little disappointed, it was no longer decorative. I think it would make sense to change this description so that it aligns more with the current decor. Except that I would say it was the most beautiful evening. We will return for more lotus chips!"

"The pastry on the beef Wellington was raw, we were offered free dessert but we were full so we didn’t get any so the manager did nothing more about the poorly executed Wellington, a shame really. Had better steaks and food at lots of places. The only cool thing about this place is the name and it’s entry way. The server was fantastic, but the food they can do much better especially being in Chicago. Will not be back."

"We emailed in March to reserve the Chef's Table, and were delighted that they offered a 7-course tasting option. When we arrived though, no reservation was in. We did get the Chef's Table, but it was a disappointment that the tasting menu/reservation weren't honored. With that said a loss of $100-200 in revenue on their part. The service was great. The waitress/hostess crew took care of us, and didn't rush anything. They also were able to split a few things (like delightful Asparagus soup) for my wife and I. The food was fine. Highlights are the pastas, while the risotto and truffle fries were afterthoughts. The lava cake had no lava, and while tasty was about 3/4 thick. The Chef's table is fun. You see the action and the impeccable communication in that kitchen at work. The Chefs didn't ignore us, but didn't acknowledge us. I will say two different customers walked over and complimented them on the food. We thanked them as we were leaving as well (after they cleared a few tickets). In summary the food is good pushing great. The service is great. But I started slightly sour from the reservation/7-course start. I would happily return, but it would be hard if the Chef's Table wasn't an option."

"The brunch I had here was fantastic—truly the best I've ever experienced. "Our visit to this restaurant was the worst we have ever had. The service was not just bad, it was terrible. We arrived at 7.30 pm and did not receive our food until 9.20 pm. It felt like we were purposely chosen to receive the worst service of 2019, as other tables that arrived at the same time as us had already finished their meals and left. Our waiter took 10 minutes to bring us our wine and then never returned to take our food order. After a long wait, we had to flag down a different waiter to place our order. We ordered salad and steak for two, but were left waiting at our table for hours without any sign of our food. Our waiter did not check on us at all. Eventually, we had to call over a hostess to ask about our food, but she never came back. When we got our waiter's attention, he brought us more wine but still did not bring our food. After almost 2 hours of waiting, our steak finally arrived, but they got our order wrong - serving side salads instead of the fries we had requested. They did not provide steak knives or extra plates, so we had to struggle to cut our tough steak with butter knives. The manager came over and offered us wine, dessert, and tried to persuade us to stay as customers. However, we were not impressed by the poor service and declined. The manager assured us he would rectify the situation, but then presented us with a full bill with only a minor deduction for one glass of wine. We paid for the steak and left, feeling frustrated and disappointed. Overall, the staff at Libertador restaurant appear to be inexperienced in providing quality customer service and hospitality. This experience was so terrible that it left us wanting to scream into a pillow when we got home. The average food was certainly not worth the aggravation we endured. This negative review is completely justified."

"Blue Hill Tavern is a cute, trendy, upscale dining experience that is still reasonably priced. The complimentary valet service is always a plus. I prefer to make reservations everywhere nowadays, but walk in customers are also welcome. Servers are great. The kitchen closes for orders around 8:30pm, so I wouldn’t make this a late stop. There is also a full bar. This visit I enjoyed a Watermelon Basil Mule, which was delicious if you’re into mint/herb infused beverages. For dinner, I enjoyed the Grilled Octopus and Ny Strip, which was cooked to my Medium Well liking with perfection. I very rarely eat any sweets or desserts, but I actually loved the Mousse because it wasn’t too sweet. Thumbs up."

"What a DISASTER ! Just read the recent reviews below, SAME tonight. Arrive 7:55pm, no host in sight, dining room 95% empty, maybe 2-3 tables taken, outdoor patio with a few more. No staff to front door x 1 min then comes Table Busser hardly any English even, he is now the host ? Asks where we want to sit, unaware of OT Resy with request, he confused gets woman server, she sees our Resy seats us as Resy requests, booth-chair. Eventually the removed cold as heck Server “Bob” comes over. Brings wrong non French Napa bubbly, yes almost 2 x the and says ours out no others around. Says their wine list food menu “disappearing” as owner/host Scott now gone (retired” at home) “trying to selling.” Omg…now it all makes sense. Eventually comes weak Beet Salad with no seasoning Scallops also no seasoning. Later comes my near raw seared lamb, not medium-well, likely rare. My wife’s short rib was excellent. Yes, brownie with 1 scoop vanilla icecream 23.50 or 2-3 x what it should. And yes, the 105. bubbly, not my wanted other 55. better rated bottle charged full price…not cool. Paon will soon be gone, now us. Soooo sad, just read the other reviews for SAME comments."

"Nice vibe and good food! The music selection was great...the DC vibe was appreciated (Chuck Brown ? ! Not black-owned for those who are curious. We had shrimp and grits, salmon, vegan curry, and spicy greens. I wasn't a fan of the autumnal sangria...wish it was sweeter! I was so glad to taste a delicious vegan option. I fell in love with the the vegan curry...it had a great kick and was very tasty. I was worried that it wouldn't be good because of the squash but it was well seasoned and mesh of seasonal vegetables. They definitely offer good comfort food options. My dining partner said the grits were too cheesy but I overall enjoyed the food. We sat at the bar but there was plenty of seating available. Not overly crowded but decent crowd."
