"I went in for dinner with a friend on Thursday, and there were only a few tables occupied. When I asked for recommendations, our young and friendly waiter with blonde highlights (kudos for the excellent service!) suggested the 'Bun Dau Mam Tom,' which includes fried tofu, fish cake, and steamed pork with a special sauce made from fermented fish and pineapple. He mentioned that 9 out of 10 customers order it. However, since I’m not a big fan of that sauce, I opted for something grilled instead. We went with the 'Bun Nem Cha Dac Biet,' which contained grilled pork, pork cake, and fried wonton wrappers served with a sweet sauce. For $36, the portion was generous—we ended up finishing only half and I shared the leftovers with another person, so it could easily feed four. One thing to note is that the pork could be sliced thinner. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I can't complain about using our hands to make our own rolls. Here are a couple of tips: 1) Bring at least three or four people if you want to order a specialty dish, and 2) don’t forget to ask for some chopped red chili to add a bit of spice to your rolls!"

"Despite the fact that when I walked in to get my order, it appeared to be all chaos, with a line out the door and staff running food out to the tables and the ladies behind the counter going HAM on the to-go orders, I have such immediate deep love for Lang Van that I have to give it 5 stars. This is a small, family-owned business that you have to love or you may be a monster. Know what you 're in for on the weekend and plan accordingly. It 's a small restaurant with parking that doesn 't allow for running in and picking up your order easily. My friend waited in the car for me and at first I was like WTF am I walking into here? But it was OK because the people waiting for a table were in such a good mood and let me pass and the captain of the ship might be the nicest lady in all of Charlotte (a city full of friendly people, mind you). She 's a pro back there, handling orders with aplomb. I 'm sorry, baby, one minute, she assured me as she zipped by and I believed her. It was five minutes and I didn 't care. I read all the love letters to the business as I waited, dodging well-meaning servers teetering past with large bowls of pho in hand. OK, so I had to mention all of this because I am known to be rather impatient at times. The food is excellent but this place is more than just great Vietnamese food, which, even when average is always really damn good, let 's face it. My order: lemongrass tofu. Delicious with fresh mint and greens and sprouts and vermicelli noodles. The perfect vegan Vietnamese food (they are so accommodating when you specify no fish sauce etc)."

"“Thái Sơn Vietnamese Cuisine” or dẹp tiệm sớm Vietnamese Cuisine? We came here to eat, thinking we could support the Vietnamese community. Came in and wait, and many waiters stood and talk, but no one came to take our order. My brother asked for a pitcher of water and one of the waiters said, no refill. “So rude!” after a good while, we decided to go elsewhere that actually want to run a business. When we left, they follow us and talk badly about us out loud like gangsters! We went to the next-door restaurant “Nha Trang!” their service was great and their foods were so good. We are picky Vietnamese authentic food eaters since our mom is a chef. The phở was very good, can chia cá was good. Cơm sườn bì chả was also good. The meat (sườn) was right on. Chả was also very good. The price was very reasonable. It was a great place to dive in. Apologies, we didn't take any pictures because we eat Vietnamese food too often."

"The service is my favorite part! Everyone is so friendly and personal. They seem to really like their jobs! The food was also delicious! There is a fairly large menu with many options. I stayed with the usual (shrimp vermicelli) and my friend got his usual (chicken yellow coconut curry). I liked his record more. If you like curry, you have to try. It's a little on the sweet side and I just love it! Also the drinks are pretty good! Usually strong and so definitely worth the money. But these things add up quickly. We paid over 100 for an appetizer, dish, 1 or 2 drinks for two people."

"Me and my family have been coming to Tan Dinh since I was a little girl and before they were at this location. I?ve tried many different Vietnamese restaurants and this place is by far my all time favorite. I always come back lol. I get the Thai tea withno tapioca and it?s always great. Trust the reviews! The Lemongrass Wings are truly amazing. A bit pricey, but so delicious! Ialways get the Pho Ga which is Pho with chicken. The chicken broth is superior in my opinion, but that?s just preference. It?scool because they now have it to where you can order online or at your table and pay it that way which is very convenient. I?vealso tried the Korean Shortribs and the Rotisserie Chicken. Both very tasty dishes. I highly recommend them. The service is hasbeen very easy going and laid back. Never felt pressured to order and finish my meals quickly. The waiters and waitresses arealso always helpful as well."

"Another fine Vietnamese restaurant to enjoy the best noodles, Pho! It was A great cold day and it called for a hot bowl of pho with hearty beef and tendons. Pho Lily is a spacious, clean and comfortable location to dine, with easy to order menus and friendly staff. The broth of the pho was clean, crisp and delicious. A little on the sweeter side in the spectrum of pho. The meats were generous and well cleaned. Satisfied meal!"

"I’ve been dining at Hoa Bien since the 90’s. They have such good food. I raised my kids eating all different kinds of foods and now it’s a treat when we can all go together. Hoa Bien has ALWAYS been fantastic and has never disappointed except for the time when we literally ran out of table space. There wasn’t enough room for us and all the food we ordered!! Lol!! Great employees, great food I’d recommend them to anyone!! I will say that I miss the old building. There was a coziness that can’t be duplicated and there’s nothing like a cold breeze going thru the little building and being greeted with hot pho to warm your bones!!"

"We have Pho Ha, 1619 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821, since 2006, if we don't want to drive to West Minister. Recently there are new service staff and it was not the same, the services are worse. Especially on Tuesday 11-8-2022 we went there for a meal. The server we do not know his name, he is the short man who was very rude, aggressive and unprofessional. We had to wait some time before we sat and then waited for a long time to place our order. The short man took our order and my food came almost completely wrong. Not only did he not apologize, he wasn't accommodating. While waiting for the missing meat of my Pho, he suddenly came to my table, shrouded my bowl away from me and told me hard that I heard your food was wrong, what is wrong with it, tell me I'm gonna get a new one for you that was redundant when he already knew what was wrong with my food. I felt he came back to complain. He replied sarcastically to everything I asked or asked and ignored my requests. I then requested another server and it is also ignored. Our meal was extremely unpleasant, we would have left our food without food, but we did not and during the whole meal none of the servers came by to check if we needed anything at all. But when I went to the counter to pay, the short man came by quickly and now he suddenly came nice to me and asked if everything was okay. I stayed calm and paid without a tip, the short man followed me back to our table to check if we left the cash tip that we did not, the short man complained to my partner, but he did not understand the short man. The short man had the courage to chase after me to teach me that I have to tap. I didn't tell him a tip, then he continued to dictate that I should only command. I answered that I will never come back. We thought that after we were terriblely abused, we felt that a tip was not earned. There are so many pho-restaurants, we would rather go further than return to this place. The 1 star had to leave a review, otherwise it would not be a star. We saw many similar reviews about the terrible service at this point."

"I regularly order from this restaurant when I'm in the mood for Vietnamese food and want to avoid cooking. The vermicelli dishes are outstanding, and I've also liked their rice dishes in the past. However, I've been disappointed with the pho during my last three orders; it tends to be bland. I found the beef stew to be lacking in flavor as well, which was disappointing since I'm a big fan of soup! Thankfully, I finally came across a soup that made up for my previous letdowns: the fermented fish soup. It’s absolutely packed with flavor and is just perfect for a cool evening!"

"Of course, locals from Tianjin might argue that nothing compares to the baozhi back home. In fact, they might say that boiled buns from Tianjin, a bit drier, are different from the Shanghai-style dumplings that have a chewy outer skin. Just as it’s difficult to recreate a genuine pizza crust, the essence of baozhi and dumplings is rooted in their origins. The quality of the water used in the dough is crucial to achieving the right texture and mouthfeel, making it challenging to find an authentic New York-style pizza in Hong Kong or true Tianjin baozi in Los Angeles. We also tried the wine-infused hard-boiled eggs, which are similar to tea eggs but prepared with wine. Served cold, they offered a refreshing contrast to the hot baozi. Tianjin is also famous for its water dumplings—one of my favorite dishes. While Mr. B suggested trying the fish water dumplings, I was initially reluctant but gave them a chance. They were okay, but nothing remarkable; I would have preferred a pork filling or something similar. The fish filling had a pasty texture that didn’t appeal to me. On a brighter note, we enjoyed some of the best scallion pancakes I’ve ever had. Typically, scallion pancakes are thicker and greasier, but at Noodle House, they were thinner and less oily. I would have preferred a flakier version, but I found these to be quite enjoyable. Overall, the Tianjin baozi here surpasses those I've had at Shaomai, making for a delightful dining experience."

"Nice Vietnamese square at university square, but can not be consistent. The first time I tried the pig-summer rolls, they were the greatest thing I ever put in my mouth. I still command it, but it was never as good as the first time. Pho parts are huge and it is decent. Their best dishes are the beef jacka salad and the baby clams with rice crackers. Ask for fresh lemons to press on the shells; not traditional, but really brings out the flavors."

"(Pho Review) Since this place reopened it changed a lot, it is no longer “Pho Bang” it was bought out by “Los Arcos”. 95% of the menu has been turned into Mexican dishes. What’s left is 5% which is Pho but the taste of the beef pho was average, Our appetizers came 30 minutes after we finished our pho. (Update) Please Check your Receipts I was Charged for things I Did not even Order, 2 waters with a lemon slice inside 8$ Jesus nothing stands out about this place anymore, like before Pho Bang Burned down everything was spectacular from the pho to the smoothies. If your going in for “pho”Don’t even bother."

"This restaurant is a great spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. It's conveniently located right by the exit of the 86th Street subway station. For dinner, we enjoyed a variety of dishes, including sour soup with salmon, fish stew, morning glory, beef cubes, pho, grilled pork ribs, and grilled chicken. The pho is a must-try here; they don’t overwhelm the broth with MSG. The rice served with grilled pork ribs is also highly recommended, as the ribs are perfectly grilled and not fried, allowing you to enjoy the smoky flavor. The sour soup and fish stew met our expectations for traditional Vietnamese dishes. We also liked the strawberry and avocado smoothies, but the durian smoothie is definitely worth a try."

"We sometimes eat here for convenience. Today was for dinner. I ordered the Pho Tai Sach, which had been my usual pho order at all pho restaurants. Their pho has been usually a tad on the sweeter side for us but with generous meat and sach. Overall, 3.5/5. The Hu Tieu soup was decent and good, nothing special but they did provide 2 quail eggs and more meat vs othe places, 3.5/5. Spring rolls, decent and average (seems to have gotten shorter), nothing special or wow. The peanut sauce was ok, 3/5. Our server was impatient and didn't listen well to our order this time. Customer service was made much better by the owner's son, which he usually provided great service. 4/5."

"One of our favorite places in the Glendale area! Great food, friendly service and it is in a cozy old bungalow in downtown. We like the noodles/soup/pho bowls better than the plates, but everything is homemade and delicious. Large pots and shrimp reels. Also, very affordable!"
