"Nice spot in Downtown Hammond. Great ambience. Very friendly and courteous staff. The family was in the mood to try another place to eat. My son had been here before and so we hopped in. We had the crawfish pies for appetizers. No complaints here and they give you some dipping sauce to go with it. Wife and son ordered some sushi rolls and clear soup. I ordered the hamburger steak with string beans and fried garlic potatoes. The wife had sirloin tips with broccoli plus rice&gravy. We had a good time."

"by chance I and my employees chose a cajun restaurant in denver, but it happened. no regret! our waitress was friendly and prompt and gave us one of the best tables in the house. the place would have a little more decor, but otherwise clean and comfortable. we were all on our business accounts so we splurgit a bit, but everything on the menu is under 20, yes! 8 jalapeño hushpuppies. not too spicy, rich and delicious! 18.00 crawfish etouffeee. many crust fish, a lot and a lot of taste, and quite spicy! if I'm ever back here, I'll ask them to lower the flavor, but I'm a whisper when it comes to spicy, otherwise its delicious! 8.50 bbq shrimp mac cheese. sturdy! and they are generous with the garnels! Definitiw a good place to eat when they are in the mood for cajun, and it will not break their bank account!"

"My husband and I have dined at this restaurant three times, but we will not be returning. I have had experience in the restaurant industry for six years, so I understand that every restaurant has its off days. However, the customer service at this location is unacceptable. On two occasions, I called ahead for carryout, only to find that I had to wait in a long line with dine-in customers. This is not acceptable, especially when there are multiple cash registers available. Most restaurants have a separate area for carryout orders, and this place needs to take note. Additionally, there seemed to be excess staff standing around while only one girl was doing all the work. Where was the manager at 6pm? Furthermore, the catfish portion was disappointingly small. If you enjoy small portions and bad service, then this may be the place for you."

"I 'm pretty adamant when it comes to customer service. The host was nice and friendly. She sat us down and then a server came out. She did not greet nor smile. We let her know we were new to the place and she at least gave us some time to look over the menu. I just feel the first impression is absolutely the best way thing to do when being a server is to smile and say hello. A very simple gesture goes a long way, just as an unwelcoming gesture can really have an effect on our experience as diners. I believe her name is Ashlie, which was on the receipt. I still gave her positive responses to her service since I am no Karen. I figured maybe she just needed some happy customers. She did well checking up on us and taking plates off the table. I never leave a bad tip so I still tip her good. I think a little personality adjustment would make it better for her as a server in this industry. Food experience: amazing! There were so great options for kids and they all look delicious. Not your typical, bread and hot dogs. We got our baby fried catfish meal and it came out perfect. Good seasoning and she liked it. Next, we ordered mozzarella logs. Those were great! It has a bite of overcooked on high heat oil but was still great. The marinara sauce was on par. The drinks were good! Stout and as it should for the high prices on them. I ordered Ribye Poboy. Delicious and I didn 't find anything wrong with it. Crawfish etouffee was okay, I wouldn 't order it again. I 'm picky when it comes to cajun food but as a sports bar, it 's still alright. It just has more of a tomato sauce taste. I 'm not sure how they make their roux but I would 've loved it with more garlic, grilled bell peppers, and onion tastes to it. The tomato flavor is overpowering. I don 't know if that 's what they use it on there as one of their ingredients but it tastes like that. Fried chips and queso are good. Will I come back again? Likely. The menu has great options and still has many items that I want to try out. I know it 's not the typical cajun restaurant I expected but they 're still good. It 's good to have a different palette for what another establishment offers."

"We frequent this restaurant often and have always enjoyed the food. However, during my last visit, I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich which was grilled and lacking in sauce, unlike the usual fried and saucy version. The service was unusually slow, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy that day. Our meal took a long time to arrive and was cold when it did. Despite feeling disappointed, I chose not to complain as this was not the norm. What really upset me was that I ordered two shots but never received them. I hope this was just an off day for the restaurant."

"The catfish is consistently well-seasoned, served hot, and incredibly tasty. For me, that's what truly matters at a restaurant called Catfish House. However, there are some downsides. In a four-piece combo, there tends to be one smaller fillet, which can be disappointing. On another occasion, the fries served were clearly old and had been fried again; they were quite unappetizing. Additionally, I must mention that the dining area leaves much to be desired—there are many items on the walls covered in layers of dust and spider webs, which is quite off-putting. Nonetheless, as I mentioned earlier, the fried catfish is definitely the highlight, so I recommend ordering it to-go and enjoying it in the comfort of your own home."

"Our visit at lunch time was very middle of the road to say the least. We ordered the lemon butter chicken and chicken avocado wrap. The chicken on both was pretty dry unfortunately. The fries we got were seasoned well, though. The kids meals we ordered as well were definitely less than stellar. A grilled cheese was stacked with 4 slices of cheese which would 've been fine, but they weren 't anywhere close to melted through. Also, the kids alfredo and the lemon butter chicken both stated they came with garlic bread, but wasn 't present when the food arrived. We were informed there would be a $0.40 upcharge to receive it as they had a menu update . That would 've been fine had we been informed of that.We 'll try this place again in the future, but perhaps at dinner time when they 're busier and might be more on their A game."

"This is a charming family-run establishment that offers both a buffet and a menu for selecting from their dishes. One standout item is the Swamp Monster, a hefty burger featuring double meat patties, cheese, and the usual toppings, all generously topped with fried shrimp, crispy onions, and jalapeños. The combination of these ingredients creates an incredibly delicious Cajun-inspired burger experience. Plus, it's a steal at just $6!"

"Buzzard Billy's came recommended by the bartender at Pearl Street Brewery just up the road and boy did she know what she was talking about! From the time we walked in the door to the time we walked back out the door, the experience was top notch! Service was genuine, friendly and welcoming and the food was out of this world delicious!! Hubby had the Cajun Combo with the addition of dirty rice and he was blown away by all the flavors and portions! We've been to Louisiana and didn't have food this good, these folks totally know what they're doing! I had the Ca C'est Bon (Saw-Say-Bon) and I swear it was the best meal I've ever had in my life! The Cajun catfish is phenomenal and the sauce that the fried potatoes soak in is worthy of awards! The bread is a slice of heaven, all buttery and crunchy, fresh and soft but that corn... wow... what's with that corn... so good!! There are two other locations of Buzzard Billy's, both on our travel map journey if we're ever in the area. I sure hope we get back to this location some day because I will forever crave this meal!"

"Good service. Great food. Fun atmosphere. Went on a Monday night in September and they were not very busy. This was odd in my opinion, since it is a “sports theme” bar and restaurant… Monday night football in a college town, with a GREAT BAR, an impressive DRINK MENU…TV’s every where even in the bathrooms)….and what appeared to be tables/booths with keg handles ???? I know that’s not the correct words) of multiple domestic beer options….I went with a few teenage girls so I just glanced over at the bar when walking in and out of the restaurant."

"This was my first visit to Kloby's, and I found the decor really unique and a great conversation starter. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the menu offered some intriguing options. We started with catfish fingers, which were delicious. I ordered the Meatloaf Stack (pictured), and it was incredible—unlike any meatloaf I've ever tasted. My partner chose the fried shrimp, and their dish was full of flavor as well. I’m definitely coming back to try more from their menu."

"Madison G was an awesome server! We were happy with the food, but thrilled with her service that made our experience absolutely wonderful! We really needed it after a grueling week, and I'm so glad we came to Walk-ons and got Madison as our server! My best experience ever at this restaurant. The food was good, too! "Food is still tasty albeit significantly more expensive than it used to be for quite a bit less food. The Po boy came with 15 fries, and my $23 pound of shrimp came with absolutely no sides whatsoever. The fried chicken was oversalted, but good otherwise, and came with a lot more fries than the po boy. The fried catfish was the best of the four, in that it was exactly what you expected. If you have a hankering for Cajun food I would suggest going across the street, and if you want catfish or fried chicken, just head down to Fayetteville for the catfish hole.Service was also incredibly slow. We ordered our drinks, were given our drinks, then waited at least 10 minutes before we could place our order. Once our order was placed we expected the arrival of our fried pickle appetizer. It never arrived, but we were charged for it! We got one refill during the meal. Which makes me happy that I ordered water at least."

"The atmosphere of the pub is lively, with televisions on every wall, but it's still quiet enough to hold a conversation. The portions are quite large. I ordered the fish and chips, which featured crispy, crushed fries. The slaw was intriguing; it wasn't just cabbage, as I thought it included some unexpected ingredients—perhaps pineapple and Brussels sprouts, though I couldn't quite identify everything in it. The jalapeño hush puppies were shaped like small tubes and had a decent flavor. The fish was a generous piece of cod, but it might have had a bit too much beer batter on it. The bread was nearly the standout flavor of the dish. I'd consider returning, but I think I'd like to try something different next time, especially since the onion leaves caught my eye."
