"Recently, I decided to try the sushi. The fact that Cate's has an extensive sushi menu sets it apart from most American/Cajun restaurants. I always thought it was a bit odd and was concerned about the quality, but I enjoyed the two sushi rolls I ordered, especially the BBQ Yellowtail roll. Overall, Cate's isn't groundbreaking, but it's a reliable choice, especially for groups where some members want sushi while others prefer different options. On a side note, I found the restrooms at Cate's to be peculiar. The decor is interesting, but the dividing wall between two of the stalls only reached my nose, which was awkward since I’m only about 5'5" or 5'6". Additionally, none of the stalls had functional locks. UPDATE: Cate's now offers nigiri, which is one of the few places providing that as a menu option. They also have Ramune Japanese soda. These unique offerings have improved my rating from 3.5 to 4.0."

8 dollar lunch special was fantastic. The hamburger steak was size able as well as the rest of the items. Sides were fresh and delicious. I recommend this place for the lunch special but the whole atmosphere was great. Could definitely be a popular dinner place as well. It has a nice bar as well.

Excellent experience! I really enjoy visiting Cate Street. They have a diverse menu that caters to everyone’s tastes. I’m particularly fond of the sushi. My son and other family members don’t eat sushi, so they opt for items like chicken tenders, catfish, shrimp, and more. This makes it a fantastic choice for large groups!

Top notch service, but mediocre food. Servers were extremely attentive and food arrived rather swiftly. Fried green tomatoes were lackluster, the sauce was like watered down tomato soup. First time eating at Cate Street was awesome! Out waitress went through the menu with us and pointed out her favorites. Started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was so good my 2 year old ate some. Then had the seafood pesto pasta and it was amazing! The sushi looked beautiful and will try next time. Thanks to our waitress Heather for a great experience!!

Great experience with our large group!! Found them via Urbanspoon! With one hour's notice they accommodated our group of 22 (9 kids included) on a busy Saturday night. Sat us within ten minutes of our arrival with the call ahead. Service was exceptional and food was very tasty and timely. So many choices that everyone was satisfied and the casual atmosphere worked for this travel ball team! If back in Hammond we will definitely visit again! Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great selection. Great location.
