"Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to this location for a while. I ordered a vanilla sweet cream COLD BREW, this just tastes like Vanilla sweet cream. Where is the coffee?? So disappointing because I’ve been going to this location for about 6 years and the service is typically great but the last 3-5 visits I get barely any coffee and so much milk/sweet cream/syrup. I tried another location while visiting Dallas recently and the recipe actually tasted like coffee so I’m not sure what has been up at this location."

"Better made in the morning by Cafe Madison This was our first visit to Cafe Madison and we plan to go back... many times. There were immediate sittings at the bar so that we put ourselves on the head and started our meal with hot and frosty cappuccinos that burned right in front of our eyes. The restaurant was filled with energy as the staff to ensure that the patrons tend well. Our servers at the bar helped us make suggestions and talk when time was allowed. We ordered Huevos Rancheros from the special menu and the hash breakfast. The staff said the Rancheros used to be a cornerstone on the menu, but they only bring it back for specials in these days; she highly recommended it to say that they usually sell out quickly. The chorizo was a tad spicy but still delicious. The hash shell was just as good as the Rancheros. As if pinned beef hash itself is decadent, they add a cheese sauce that puts it over the top. The only missing was that I paired it with onion/dill bread; You should definitely get rye bread with beef. The eggs were perfectly cooked on each plate and the side potatoes were well seasoned. The restaurant is clean and offers a comfortable and entertaining atmosphere. It seems to be a lot of street parking and they offer outdoor seating when the weather is allowed. If you haven't been, go! Make sure to register for their reward program for takeover and delivery orders. UPDATE: 4/10/22 We have served the chicken and waffle... crispy chicken teeth served on a roasted corn and jalapeno waffle. If you like flavors of the southwest, you will love this waffle. The taste of Jalapeno comes through with the slightest touch of heat. Embroidered with maple butter and a sweet hot-hot syrup. It is definitely worth trying! We have sides of oversized eggs that perfectly cooked and crispy bacon. Unfortunately, the menu still offers its winter selection of adult coffee drinks, but they do not make most. If the salted caramel coffee is still served, try it. It's like dessert and coffee wrapped in one."

"We had Thanksgiving dinner at Nectar. We asked for and were told we would be able to have white turkey meat if we wished but were given mostly dark meat. No one came to ask if things were alright so I signalled our waiter. The small amount of white meat we received was hard and dry so I requested extra gravy which was luke warm when he brought it. Our starter was soup and was brought after our dinner was served and was barely warm. The green bean casserole was green mush and there were no crispy onions or even discernible beans. Pecan pie was served with whipped topping not whipped cream which was disappointing in a farm to table restaurant. The manager discounted our meal by 50% but it was not even worth the amount we paid and soured our Thanksgiving feast ."

"The restaurant is clean, bright, and incredibly welcoming. The waiting area is relaxing, and my sandwich was crafted with high-quality ingredients! I really appreciate what they are doing there. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or even a delicious dessert."

"2 stars exclusively for the price. We got two bagels and nothing else: one with lox and one with whitefish spread. The total: $36.I had to ask them to double check the price multiple times because I just couldn't believe it.The bagels alone cost less than $2, but the spread cost $14-17. It's really insane and not obvious pricing. You order first, so you don't know how much you're going to be charged until your luxury bagels are already made.As for the bagels, they were fine. Good. The service was fast. The people were nice. It was not worth $40. It tasted the same as your typical bagel anywhere else, but cost literally double."

"Stopped by Basque Boulangerie Cafe in Sonoma and I was impressed. The peanut butter banana toast was spot on – just the right mix of creamy peanut butter and fresh bananas with smoky crispy bacon. The avocado toast was perfectly seasoned and a real testament to how good simple food can be. The vanilla latte was smooth and had a solid hint of vanilla without being overpowering. The dirty chai latte has the kick you need, blending those bold chai flavors with a strong espresso punch. If you're in the area, you've got to check this place out."

"Common Sage is a local Japanese restaurant in my neighborhood. It used to be a convenience store but was recently transformed into a Japanese ramen and rice ball shop. I tried the CS Miso Ramen and was impressed by the tender noodles, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of elasticity. The dish also included 2 slices of chasu, green onions, and bean sprouts. The container was very unique and cool - the tray on top holds the noodles and toppings, while the hot broth below keeps everything warm and steaming. Overall, the ramen was delicious and I will definitely be back to try the custom order rice balls next time. It's a great option for a savory snack or meal on the go, or to enjoy while relaxing at nearby wine bars."

"We had a reservation for 4. We were seated fairly quickly but were not able to actually sit in our assigned booth the benches were too close to the table and not able to be moved. There are 3 table booths along that area. It appeared that the benches had been moved at one point, giving a large amount of space to the 1st booth, less to the 2nd, and no ability to sit at the 3rd the one we were assigned to. I am not a large person and I could not fit. So, we were re seated to a table. We spent perhaps 5 minutes at the table before we were approached by the manager who had seated us in the initial location asking why we moved. His immediate approach and assumption was that we just moved ourselves. We had to move yet again because a reservation for a larger group was made and the space was needed. That group took priority over our reservation and reseating. Obviously we did not feel very welcome, even with a reservation. The service was fine but the food especially the fries were served luke warm, making them inedible. No staff came back around to check on us. We were not asked about drink refills. Or if we wanted dessert. It felt like we were an inconvenience. I know it was a Friday evening. They were busy, but not every table or booth was occupied, so service shouldn 't have been anything out of the ordinary. This is not the typical service I 've received at this location. Perhaps it was because of the full moon??"

"The staff at Descanso Gardens Restaurant are attentive and kind, but the management definitely needs improvement. This review is based on my visit on April 14, 2019, when I celebrated my birthday, though I've encountered similar problems on other visits. Despite having a reservation for two on a Sunday, we waited 30 minutes for our table. When I reserve, I expect the table to be ready, but we waited just as long as walk-ins. To make things worse, it took over 20 minutes to get our check. Our server, Jamie, was incredibly sweet but was overwhelmed by a rude and demanding group, doing her best to keep up. These issues seem to lie with management rather than the staff. The food was decent, maybe even good, but the overall experience was disappointing and left a poor impression. As a Descanso member, I don’t plan to return anytime soon."

"Mixed feelings!. We stopped in for the buffet. I am new to Indian food so wasn't sure what to expect. Nice building, and friendly staff. The experience was just ok. I wasn't sure what I was eating, and our server was in a bad mood and wasnt up for explaining any of it. Some of it was really good, some was ok, and there was some that I did not like. If I had to order off of the menu I would not know what their specialty was or where to begin."

"Very nice location in the heart of a super great little town to visit. Staff was friendly but the prices were pretty high compared to what you get. $14 for a basic grilled cheese with chips? $14 for a portabella sandwich with chips? Ummm...everythingon the lunch menu is the basic $14 with upcharge for add ons . This is a self service cafe where you order at the CNN counterand serve yourself. Not a great value for the money."

"Please read this! I’ve been coming to Bagels Plus for a while and while the kitchen staff is friendly, the cashiers seem inexperienced. Keep in mind that each condiment costs an extra $0.50, so toppings like lettuce and tomatoes add up quickly — $1.00 just for those two, not including the sandwich itself. If you charge for condiments, please make sure you actually add them to the sandwich, especially since many customers, like me, don’t live in Queens and only stop by occasionally. Always double-check your order to ensure everything is included. One time, I told the cashier with glasses that I was charged for condiments on a previous sandwich that I never received. I asked if they could give me a discount on my next sandwich instead of charging me for something minor like lettuce or tomato. The cashier responded that because it was from a different day, it wasn’t their problem and I should have called that day. But I paid in cash for that sandwich—how would calling help now, especially since I’m back in the city at work? They charged me for something I didn’t get, yet when I complained, I was basically told it’s not their issue and that I don’t have to come back. Rather than adjusting my new order or acknowledging the mistake, they stood their ground and told me I could just go somewhere else. Well, got it."

"The cashier and other staff working that I interacted with were all friendly and helpful even though I came in at the end of the night. It was my first time visiting this restaurant and the young woman taking my order was patient, helpful and more than willing to offer suggestions on what I might enjoy based on the tastes I told her I had. She even gave me samples of soups to try and a glass of water while I waited for my food. It was nice to see a restaurant chain like this that didn't slack on their service just because they were working on their closing routines as well as still accepting customers. As a former waitress I know what it's like to strike the proper balance to give superb customer service as well as complete your night duties in a timely manner. The food is delicious, I ordered the broccoli and cheese soup and a chai latte. I can't wait to come back and try some of their salad items. The ONLY reason they will not get five stars or even FOUR stars from me is because they are using too many plastic products still for their to go products and food packaging. It's unconscionable. There are too many alternatives in the manufacturing industry now for these large food corporations to not be leading the charge in making America plastic free. There's really no excuse for this anymore. I hope that Panera managers and owners take this to heart and make the necessary and imperative changes. Every business counts!"

"Fantastic food and wonderful dining experience. Ordered family style for our family. Appetizers were on point. Loved the Ahi Tuna (chef's kiss). They have plenty of selections. I suggest getting the beef noodle soup because the beef was so soft and falling off the bone. It was perfect for the cold weather in San Francisco. They also have braised beef for appetizers it was scrumptious! Their curry is okay it's too sweet for my liking. Very busy during the weekend but they have very friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be back again."
