"A few people ordered Sava's wagyu burger with garlic shoestring fries. While the burger itself was decent, it didn't stand out flavor-wise and was a bit dry. The fries, on the other hand, were quite good. The sauce for the burgers resembled tartar sauce.
The chicken panino sandwich and the penne rigata pasta were the standout dishes of the night. The pasta was flavorful, with ingredients like ground beef, broccoli raab, and mushrooms complementing each other well. However, the sauce was a bit watery; a thicker consistency would have made it stick better to the noodles.
As for the gemelli pasta dish featuring mushroom bolognese sauce topped with ricotta, the texture was reminiscent of whipped sour cream. It could have used a little salt or seasoning, as one person described it as more similar to a thick marinara sauce or tomato paste, which wasn't appealing.
We started with a round of appetizers that included sweet potato fries, roasted Brussels sprouts, and bang bang shrimp—all of which were excellent! The cocktails were also enjoyable. Despite the mixed feelings about the food, I still love this place and will definitely be back!"
