"Absolutely loved this restaurant! Their paneer Kali curry is one of the best I've had in the entire country. Every item that we ordered was out of the world! Highly recommend! "We tried this place for the 3rd time tonight… and it was a strike out. It seems the food got worse each time. The mango lassi was watered down and bland. The mango chutney wasn’t awful, but tasted mostly like vinegar. The garlic naan was beyond disappointing. First, it didn’t taste anything like garlic. It was dry, somewhat burnt and flavorless. The paneer was dry and also slightly burned. The masala had zero flavor or spice. The mushroom saag was awful. Nothing close to any other saag I’ve had. Not only was this food bad, but my partner and I are both experiencing stomach issues directly after eating it… Very disappointed in the entire order. My advice, get a NEW chef or switch food genres. Places like Citrus, Tamarind and Tanjore, are far better and worth the money."

"The food is so expensive! Just for 1 paneer dish, idli vada combo and Chana bhatura I paid 40 bucks. Not only that they forgot to include the button on for which I had paid already! And then, when I open my meduvada, guess what I see, each medu vada each 1 inch diameter. I would recommend to down in as in carry out they skimp on quantity! Paneer and chole was bland no spice at all."

"This was my second visit to this restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the friendly service. The samosas were absolutely delicious, and the Chicken Tikka Masala, Pineapple Lamb, Garlic Basil Naan, and Paswari Naan were all excellent selections. They also have a full bar, featuring Indian whiskey. The dining area is quite spacious, with around 25 tables, along with a banquet room. We were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary rice pudding for dessert. The prices are very reasonable, and we've definitely discovered a new favorite place to dine frequently."

"Great dinner! Outstanding service and amazing food! I am not Indian so I cannot speak to true authenticity, but judging from my knowledge and the clientele, this place is the real deal! The goat curry and Byriani lamb was amazing! Asked for more spice because I love the heat...they brought a green chili paste to the table that added the sting that you want packed with flavor, without killing your taste buds. A new must visit on our Atlanta list! Thank you!"

"Our Pita Jungle in Tucson recently closed, so we decided to stop by on our way home from the Phoenix Airport. The food was just as delicious as I remembered! I opted for the Street Style Gyro special and it was fantastic. I highly suggest trying their hearty sandwich wraps. The combination of pickles and tzatziki sauce added a nice tangy flavor to the beef and lamb mixture. Overall, it was absolutely delicious!"

"Delicious, fresh, with impressive variety of styles and flavors! Best dosa I've had since I lived in California and there was a restaurant chain that specialized in them... this is a good place to try this dish if you've never had one before. I must add GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS gluten free options Gluten Free Options to help other Yelpers looking for a restaurant experience that won't sacrifice taste or authenticity for having GF options. My only disappointment, ironically, was the GF naan and only because I ordered the garlic version, and I guess that the way it is prepared, the pieces of garlic cloves are burned in the process (if you like that overpowering burned-garlic taste go for it! . I may have been expecting a garlic butter instead based on other restaurant experiences, so my bad. Next time either plain GF naan or none at all, and I'll be saving room for a dosa! And a FULL BAR with cocktails that use a South Asian spin on the classics. Such a find and easier/faster to get to from NNJ and other parts of Rockland than you might think, plus easy strip-mall parking!"

"Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The plates were dirty. We reached way early than the closing time still were rushed into ordering food. After ordering we received the main course before appetizers. We could order anything else as they straight away told that the kitchen was closed even though they let a few people in after we ordered. There was hair in our food. The canned sodas were expired. We also had to go upto the reception to ask for everything. No server came to attend our table. The guy was bringing trash can to other tables while we were still eating. Terrible experience. Even Taco Bell is better and hygienic restaurant as compared to this. I would suggest you go to any other place if you want to have decent food and enjoy your meal."

"Shahi is the BEST place to go to for Indian Food. They definitely don 't disappoint. The very first time that I ever went there, honestly I didn 't like it at first because everything was so spicy! But now that I know u can tell them no spice, everything is so delicious that I can 't get enough of! I 've tried their Chicken Sagg, Mang9 Chicken, Butter Chicken, Coastal Shrimp Curry, Garlic Naan Bread, lemon rice, on top of other delicious food that they have. I definitely would recommend this place. I give this place 10/10. The staff are so friendly and are never rude. Me and my husband are regulars. We LOVE this place so much!!! U get alot of food for what u pay for. They never disappoint! And if ur into drinking their Taj Mahal beer is good too, and I 'm not even a beer drinker! Babush is the most friendly waiter that I have ever met in the whole and tire state of Michigan. Thank you Shahi, we will definitely be looking forward to visiting u again. I would of taken pictures of my food but couldn 't resist and ate it before I could take pictures. lol"

"The veg dinner for two is a great deal, but make sure they give you everything that comes with it! Last night I ordered take out, only to come home and realize they hadn 't included the raita, and also forgot to include one of my favorite sauces! : : Ironic, too, as the cashier exclaimed that I had ordered a lot of food! :P The *best* deal is to dine in, because then tea is included, as well as those papadum chips which are not included when you order take out. It is a lot of food, but it makes for great leftovers!!"

"I was in an Indian movie, so I decided to have a great Indian brunch. the movie was long so I really appreciated that the restaurant was open until 15:00. it was 2:00 when I arrived, and there were still many delicious offers at the buffet. actually there were so many different types of dressed that I couldn't taste them all! what gave me a food was one of them plant chow mine! an Indian feedbuffet! as well as always, the normal standards that I love not disappointed, butter huhn, tandoori huhn, papdum, all were excellent! also loved the cheerful and carrots halwa dessert. I will return definitiw after passage to india if I happen to be in the neighbourhood. otherwise it is a destination from san jose to mountain view, about 20 mi."

"great eating, cocktails and ambiente. Tapas restaurants are strangely sparse in rochester's food scene, not Spanish-focused, tapas 177 fills this hole in my heart beautiful. we have tried the Calamari salad, the mushroom and cream cheese competition, the PEI showers and the lamb frame. all were great, but the crispy, delicate calamari and incredibly tasteful muddles are particularly distinguished. several seating (table on the way, bar on the upper floor, lounge in the ground floor and in the courtyard) and it is a really livelier, fun place on the evenings."

"Another special experience at Raas tonight. Wonderful seeing and talking with Chef GG. What a special human. Great seeing and being served by Curtis the bartender. He is a gem. The guys in the kitchen are SO NICE and SO TALENTED! All our food was truly amazing. Don 't miss the Manchurian Cauliflower!! Yum!! The Korma dishes are fantastic. The naan flaky and butterlicious Honestly, everything is great. Don 't want to forget to say, the drinks were divine. Mango Lassi New Delhi Old Fashion ... Wowie. And let 's not forget dessert!! "I highly recommend this restaurant for their quality of service and delicious curries. The staff paid close attention to our needs and recommended dishes when we were unsure what to order from their extensive menu. The downstairs seating area is spacious, with a small outdoor dining area as well. The goat curry was perfectly cooked, with tender meat and a non-greasy curry. The chicken curry had well-cooked chicken and the right balance of spices. I appreciated having chapatis as an option for bread, which is not common in many Indian restaurants. The restaurant has a homely feel. The only downside was that I wasn't a big fan of their momos, as they lacked flavor."
