"Went there with my family last year. So now we go back without a reservation in Sept. It was just before dinner hour. ALL the tables were empty. We were told minute wait. Why didn't they explain why the wait was so long when there so many empty tables in plain sight. It just seems rude to just say you have to wait when the place is empty.. Just thinking about this makes me so angry, it leads me to believe that we were turned down for personal reasons. Under these circumstances you wonder what the real reason is for turning us away from a practically empty restaurant. Who knows? . Reading previous reviews from other patrons, I note that this place did this before. Dare I say preferential treatment for some people. Don't go there. Not worth the wait or the attitude. Tourist trap. Will never go back.... and I will tell my travel friends about this. Instead, we had a great halibut and king crab dinner in the restaurant in our hotel. Who needs a touristy, crowded hectic place? The owners never reached out to offer a polite explanation. Screw them."

"Now called the neon moon, food is great, I had the steak salad, steak was cooked to perfection! My SO had wings, although you can get good wings almost everywhere nowadays, their wings were crispy outside, moist inside. Buffalo Sauce was good (I think it was Texas Pete) friend had chicken quesadilla, she was not impressed. Service was not exceptional, but this is more bar-slot rooms than restaurant. If you are in the area, it is a good place to stop"

"If I could give six stars I would. As a local, I've been coming to the Grotto for years. It was always a favorite for out of town family, my Grandfather from LA loved the cioppino. Of all the times I've been coming, I have to say the owner (Chris) and his staff are always so welcoming. The food is consistent delicious. This place stands out to me for how giving they are .. generous portions, always giving the ladies a rose when they dine.. love this. Also, I see the owners employ elders, immigrants, locals, you name it. I love seeing diversity of ages backgrounds in the staff members. I will be back soon! Thanks to the Grotto it's great team!"

"I was pleased with my experience at Andersens, so we decided to go back a second time, and it was just as enjoyable. The consistency impressed me. The staff was very attentive and friendly, greeting us promptly to take our orders. The food came out quickly, which I had heard from others in reviews, but I wonder if they experienced that during the restaurant's initial opening phase when they were likely overwhelmed. We visited after the initial rush had subsided, so our meals arrived in a timely manner. Everything was served hot, except for a part of our macaroni and cheese. They swiftly took it back and replaced it without any hassle. What more could I ask for? Mistakes happen, but they handled it perfectly. The chicken order was delicious—really very good. The ribs were excellent as well. For a barbecue place, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to returning!"

"Fish is a beautiful spot! We have lived in Naples for 17 years. Fish its sister restaurant has always been a must in our restaurant circulation. Over the last couple of years the food has not been what it used to be. Menu used to have a good variety of food but majority now is sushi. Not much of a selection for non seafood lovers. Because of the location we do still come in once in a while for the ambiance and a ok meal but very pricey. HOWEVER, the one thing that is unacceptable is the attitude of the hostess! What a snotty little inexperienced young lady. We were greeted with a “you have to wait” remark when we approached the hostess stand. No “welcome to our restaurant do you have a reservation” or “I’m sorry sir one moment please”. The reservation was made for an outside table when she asked if an inside table was ok I said “no I requested an outside table”. That was followed up with an “eye roll” from her. When she found a table for us walked over with menus she said “let’s go”. Really??? This is the way you speak to customers??? If we did not have guests with us, we would have walked out. How dare a young person who is the first face of the restaurant address customers in such an nasty unprofessional manner. The owners should be concerned with how their employees represent their establishment. These 2 girls need some polishing."

"Frustrated, I asked another waitress to bring the manager over. When he arrived, I showed him the ribs, which were mostly fat. He acknowledged that ribs should ideally be lean and agreed they were cold upon delivery. I asked what could be done about the situation, and he offered to take half off the cost. However, when I reviewed the bill later, I felt he should have offered a full refund. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she suggested that my eating some of the ribs might be the reason for not refunding the entire amount. Interestingly, they both looked at the ribs as if they wouldn't eat them either. I also want to note that there are dietary guidelines regarding pork; it should be cooked properly, and fatty ribs should not be served if they are undercooked. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and the quality of the food."

"Lazy Days is walking distance from where we are staying and my husband loves their mozzarella sticks so we decided to walk over the other evening. The perk of Lazy Days is by far the ambiance and being able to sit on the water. To be perfectly honest, I found the food to be only okay this time. The service wasn't all that great either. This is the second time we have eaten here although, the previous time we ate inside and the service was amazing. This time, sitting outside it was different but I didn't really care because it was so gorgeous outside. My husband loved his food though both times so I could just not be ordering the right things. For example my son's fries were outstanding and the mozzarella sticks were really good but the crab cake was super wet and didn't seem to have a lot of crab meat. Basically it might be good to stick to some of the more simple or fried options. Can't beat the view though and we will continue to come back!"

"We love Del Frisco Grill! We've been there several times since they opened in Brentwood and have had mostly very good experiences. The one thing that they could improve upon is getting a server to your table more quickly. There seems to be a little confusion at the check-in desk as to which server is serving what area but I'm sure they will get this worked out. I've had the steak salad a couple of times and it is absolutely delicious. My husband had the beef stroganoff and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The wine list is excellent and they also have several good wines by the glass. Highly recommend Del Frisco Grill. And if weather is permitting I suggest you sit on the lovely covered patio outside."

"Went to the Grape Vine cafe with a group of people. The atmosphere is very nice. The service was excellent. I ordered a baked manicotti. The waiter came back and said they were all out of it even though it was pretty early in the evening. So I ordered penne a la vodka. Not a problem. I ordered an iced tea which came back very dilute with barely any ice tea color. they were charging for barely colored water. I will say that the refill was considerably better. Now to the main course.. Unfortunately the vodka was not burned off in the making of the dish..therefore the food was bitter. Anywhere else I have ordered this dish , it is always a little spicy. Not here..bland. And they say it has asparagus.. three tiny pieces of the stem of an asparagus. My wife had a salad which she said was fine. I can't say I will ever be returning to this restaurant."

"The menu on their website promised sushi, but when we arrived, we found out there was no sushi chef available. My sister-in-law and I are gluten-free, and unfortunately, about 80% of the items on their gluten-free menu were crossed out. As a result, our dinners were quite disappointing. They did have a band playing that night, which was enjoyable, but the volume was so loud that we couldn't hear each other, which was frustrating."

"2023 UPDATE This place literally NEVER fails, and its still just as amazing as it always is. We ordered to go, they had 3 huge DELICIOUS dinners (bread butter) done in 15 minutes... I love me some 100 South Go eat inside... Go eat outside... Order take out... Just do it, you want to give them your money, lol, and you WILL NOT be disappointed in the slightest. Prices are a bit high, but not in terms of worth, just in terms of numbers... For what you get, its SOOO worth it!!! Plates are gigantic usually enough leftovers for a second meal, food is super flavorful, and service is top notch!!! The thing I love most about this place is that they have found a way to be classy and upscale, but also feel like your at home with family... Its so freaking awesome!!! In the very off chance you aren 't happy, they make it right, no questions asked... They want you satisfied when you walk out their doors. In the late evening, when we like to go, there 's usually some people, including staff, hanging out, laughing, talking, etc, but it never interferes with the quality of anything or the service... If anything, it makes you feel like you want to be included in this fun, fancy club of theirs, lol I have heard some more personal stories by word of mouth and the internet... I 'll just say these are my kind of people!!! I feel like I understand them, I 've been there, I KNOW they 've worked hard, and I TRUELY value their outlook on friends, family, and loyalty. This place is freaking amazing, and so are the people... Trust me, you want to go here!!! Parking: They are located right across from the train station in uptown Elmhurst, and therefore, it can be difficult to find CLOSE parking sometimes, as they have no lot. That being said, there are a TON of free and paid options. Uptown Elmhurst has no shortage of parking garages, they are EVERYWHERE. There are also, at least 1, but I 'm thinking 2 handicap spots right near the front. Kid friendliness: Although they are upscale, they also very much value family. As a mother, I have taken my kid here from the time she was a toddler, all the way to now that she 's 10. As a reasonable person, I just personally wouldn 't go if you know your kid throws tantrums or can 't sit still... Just out of respect for others, because this is more if a fine dining experience and atmosphere."

"Sat out on the waterfront enjoyed delicious blackened salmon and blackened shrimp! Best salmon I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable the kitchen was so quick! The owner held our door when we were leaving, multiple staff said goodbye to us on our way out. Would 100% come back! Such an amazing experience!!"

"This restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere, making it more suited for a lively outing than a romantic dinner. However, it offers an impressive selection of seafood entrees. If you're a fan of fried shrimp, this place is a must-visit. Their jumbo Mexican fried shrimp are unparalleled—far superior to what you can find at any other restaurant. The sourdough bread is unique, and the homemade corn is delicious. There are plenty of fantastic dishes to choose from. "5 stars for the wine list. Finally a place with both expensive and house-priced wines by the bottle. We got a nice bottle for $29 and a nice bottle for $36. I don 't go over this price in a restaurant. They are usually not aged properly and you rarely get it carafed, let alone properly carafed. But, the food was, unfortunately, a joke. It tasted fine, but my entre was an appetizer size portion. Two tiny, overly breaded empanadas, that were not as good as street ones. And no sides of any kind. $21 I had it eaten in minutes. The appetizer salad was small and uninspired, but tasty enough. The Kebab was also appetizer size and only meat. I know middle eastern kebabs are often just meat, but they also cost $2 a pop. And you get sides with them if you want. With this, no onions, mushroom, peppers. Only 4 hunks of steak and mashed spuds. Again, a joke. For about $1 dollar more per plate they could have made a meal of it. Throw on a carrot, a bit of broccoli. Something. I almost complained it was false advertising. An entre needs to be a dinner. Again, the wine selection was very good. I would urge the chefs to make a meal out of the entres. They were not stylishly small servings. It was American cuisine in child size amounts and no variety on the plate. I 'd be embarrassed serving it."

"This restaurant is a quiet and charming little spot. Despite the fact that the Christmas tree is still up and there are lights, I personally love Christmas so it didn't bother me. They have a variety of sushi options available. Although I had never tried sushi before, my daughter loves California rolls and I found the restaurant to be quite charming when I picked up our takeout order. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which is why I plan on returning in the future."
