"It was a great first experience for my group. This was their first hibachi experience and were confused by the menu at first. I did my best to explain in the time we had to order. However the waitress was busy with other customers leaving and was very patient and understanding, as were we. However, the waitstaff and chef were very friendly and helpful and engaged the whole table. The air conditioning was a bit high so we were cold, but again that’s on us for dressing in summer clothes during a cold evening."

"I made reservations for a birthday celebration for my 86 year old mom. no acknowledgement was made to mom or wish her a happy birthday, I thought server did not hear me. she was too busy getting everyone drink order. Most ordered breakfast. I orders the waffle supreme. I would have thought they would bring the maple syrup with the plate. No she had to go get it. By the time she came back the waffle was cold and hard. Also I ordered a side of sausage. but when my waffle came there was bacon AND sausage. No where on the menu did it mention it came with sausage. I would NOT have ordered a side of sausage. This was my 2nd visit. The first was great, the server attentive, pleasant and the meal did not take long. This time was a disappointment."

"Rerurned to Rare 650 tonight after a few years. Overall the dinner was ok. Not amazing but not terrible. I was surprised that they had openings every 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Ok, maybe it's a slow season after summer is over. We we seated right away, great : But got the worst table right by the kitchen path. So, every time someone passed by they hit the back of my chair without a word of apology. The drinks came afrer 25 min wait. Every table got a bread basket with butter, we didn't get any butter. At the middle of the meal the waiter came and took the olive oil bottle that was on the table, ok, they might've really needed it : Overall, the service was underwhelming. Nobody came to check on us after we ordered. Now to food. Starters were tuna watermelon ceviche and short rib wellington. Tuna had a little fishy taste and was so fatty, def not sushi-grade tuna. I left 90% of it untouched on the plate. Nobody even asked me why when they took my plate. Short rib wellington was ok. Short rib tasted good but the pastry was served on the side and didn't add anything to the dish. Entres were seared lamb chops, marimated skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and mushrooms. The lamb chops were really good, so were the mushrooms. The skirt steak ordered medium rare came out rare. Better than overdone. So, it wasn't sent back. It came with a weird bbq/ horseradish sauce which was so overpowering, so glad we ordered chimichurri. Drinks were good. Smoked old fashioned was very balanced and mild in bourbon flavor. The first drink came under the dome with the smoke comimg out of it, the second one was just delivered to the table with no presentation. I guess it was an ok meal, but considefing the price point and the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more."

"Things have changed since our last visit; they no longer take polaroid photos or perform some of the entertaining tricks. Our chef might have skipped the shrimp tricks because of the allergy mentioned earlier. I would have loved to give this place a perfect rating, but our waiter seemed undertrained, and other staff were frequently pointing out his mistakes. I wish they had worked together to enhance our experience instead of criticizing him. Fortunately, the chef was the only one who stepped in to assist him. Additionally, we placed a takeout order for a family member who is in the hospital, but it was missing some items like the soup, salad, and shrimp appetizer. We also received fewer vegetables than we had at the table, and the hostess tried to charge us for sauce, but thankfully a manager intervened since we had already paid for the entire meal. As for vegetarian options, there is a tofu dish, but it comes with a shrimp appetizer, so make sure to specify if you don’t want that. Unfortunately, there’s no substitute for the shrimp, meaning you'd still pay for it even if you don’t consume it. The chef did check to see if I was comfortable with my tofu being cooked on the same surface as meat and seafood, which I am, but I'm unsure what the alternative would be."

"My family and I will never return to this location. Although the food tasted old and the beverages were subpar we planned on staying to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. The Manager on duty at the time was extremely rude and condescending. We simply asked for my Mom’s non-alcoholic beverage to be exchanged. My Mother asked a number of times and no thing was done about it. The server was new; we understood and remained patient. Time passed and we asked the manger about it and he said plainly ask your server. Time passed again and I excused myself from the table to speak directly with the Manager. His response was you saw your server ask him. I said excuse me aren’t you the manager? Clearly if we received what was requested a number of times I would not bring it to his attention again. The Manager rudely stated I have 5 other things to do. At this point I said ok no problem. I let my family know at this point we needed to leave. However we wanted to pay for what we had. The Manager then walks up with a drink in hand after we decided to leave. I said no it’s too late for that we’re leaving but we’d like to pay for what we had which at this time were drinks a few appetizers. He then says it’s comp’d and goodbye. I would like to make it clear the server was not our primary reason it was the behavior of the Manager that escalated the issue. His communication skills are lacking as well as his customer service. As a brand he does not make Benihana look good. We ended up going to the Edison location where the service was excellent!"

"I love to go here and also get take out. They can handle crowds! Never had a long wait for food and the food is always delicious. I do love the seasonal menu changes as well. Fall has to be my favorite. Had a butternut squash app that was out of this world once."

"Worst experience ever! My family and I came here to celebrate my sister in law's birthday and because many people had told us that it was a great place, so we decided to give it a try. The chef took almost an hour to come out and when he did come out tocook our food, he didn't greet us nor make small talk, didn't do a show with the food as many people that go there like toexperience, mind you this was our first and only time going there. Literally everyone that was there got a great experiencebecause we were watching meanwhile we got our appetizers but when it was our turn we didn't get to experience it. Even to payour bill was an issue, we walked up to the front desk there was no one there, we waited for like 10 minutes until I rang thebell 3 times and someone finally came out to charge us but if not we were honestly just going to leave. I didn't know having topay your bill for a bad experience was going to be a hassle as well. I would NOT recommend anyone coming here. Spend your moneyelsewhere, ANYWHERE but here."

"Had a great time celebrating family milestone. 7 of us. Service was phenomenal. Appetizers and main courses excellent. They Were very helpful dealing with one in party with gluten sensitivity. However the desserts were quite disappointing. BlackBerry trifle was lousy. Creme Brulee was not set properly and bland. The key lime tart had crust as thick as filling. Not nearly enough filling but flavor not bad. Desserts kept this from a 5/5."

"we had dinner at lx before we caught a show. our server was very nice. the host at the front was a little quirky, seemed stressed and let us wait 10 minutes to clean our table. the eating options were good. our server was attentive, helped get our dinner in time so we could make the show in time. all our dishes were very good. fixed meal times. not amazing, but solid. it is a safe thing when they decide to eat there."

"The food at this restaurant was incredibly tasty. However, I believe that when a chef is preparing food at the table, their clothing should be clean and not dirty. Unfortunately, our entire group had to wait a long time for everything - from water to the start of the show, and even boxes for leftovers. I grew impatient waiting and ended up passing out bags to the others at our table who were also waiting."

"Legal Seafood is always good but in my experience the Peabody Northshore mall is the best. We were celebrating a birthday and given a great table. Our server Lori Ann was outstanding. She paid attention to the little details and made the experience special. Legals is the only place I feel comfortable ordering oysters because I know of their standards. The oysters were great. Our fish entrees were generous and cooked to perfection. The accompanying sides delicious and healthy. The desserts scrumptious and decadent. Legal s at the North Shore mall is very special."

"Our meal was outstanding. We had an appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller and shared a Caesar salad, it was plenty for the two of us. My husband had the bacon wrapped filet mignon and it was so tender it melted in your mouth. We ordered a side of broccoli and and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were good but I have had better. The broccoli was a little too al dente for my liking. I had the ounce bacon cheddar burger and it was perfectly cooked. It could have used some tomatoes and onions but otherwise it was delicious. ounces is pretty big for a burger so I brought half home. For dessert we split a piece of cheesecake and that was so good. I wish we hadn't split it. We will definitely return"

"We started with the classic calamari, which was chewy and not very tasty. Then we tried the meatballs, which were incredibly dry and overloaded with garlic. My dining partner ordered a pizza for dinner, but it was undercooked and terrible, tasting more like a frozen pizza and half-raw. I had the tuna, which was good, but the seasoning on it was overwhelming—it was crusted with lavender, which was not to my taste. My other dining companion ordered the halibut special, which I tasted and found to be good. On the positive side, the service was excellent; our waiter was attentive and charming. Unfortunately, the food left me disappointed overall."

"First off let me say the food was as good as it ever has been, staff were friendly and polite. But as my wife said and I agree with her the atmosphere was not the same. She had commented on the lack of tablecloths and the non uniform dress of the staff. Personally I thought smart casual dress was slacks and a collared shirt I noticed one table with several gentlemen in tee 's and the table next to us a young man in sweatpants. In the bar area who cares you have many events at the XL and people stop for a quick drink but when I 'm going out for a nice dinner at your prices I expect better. I can go anywhere to eat but when I go to Max on Main I expect more because that 's what you used to give your clients. Sorry but this trip was a bit of a disappointment."

"The onion soup was full of cheese and great flavor. The ribeye was cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. The Cesar salad dressing was delicious. The service and concern about me as a diner with special dietary needs was the best ever. Definitely recommend this steakhouse."

"The main reason we visited this restaurant was for the she crab soup, which my wife really enjoyed. She requested they go easy on the Old Bay seasoning, and they complied. I ordered the fish and chips, one of my favorite dishes. The fish was served piping hot and nicely fried, but unfortunately, the fries were disappointing. They seemed to have been pre-fried and kept warm for too long. When the fish was ready, it was placed directly on top of the fries in a cute wire mesh basket, which resulted in a greasy mess and steamed fries underneath. Usually, I finish off the fries, but not this time. They seemed like they would have been delicious with a quick second fry. My wife opted for the seafood combination, which included a nice salad. She requested that the fish, not the crab cake, be fried, and they kindly accommodated her. All the components of her dish were good, although the breading was coming off. The crab cake was tasty, but contained a bit too much shell for her liking. We didn't have any alcohol, and the total bill before tip was $103. The service was decent; our server was quite busy attending to many tables, which likely caused some compromises in service."

"The ambiance was absolutely stunning and romantic, making for a beautiful dining experience. The bread served was the best we've ever tasted. The wait staff provided exceptional service, though there was nearly an hour's wait before our entrees arrived (we didn’t order any appetizers). While the flavor of the steak was excellent, it wasn't cooked to the proper temperature. As it's a new restaurant, we believe they might still be ironing out some issues. It is a bit pricey, and most of the wine options are only available by the bottle. Despite these hiccups, we would definitely be willing to give it another try!"
