"Worst experience ever! My family and I came here to celebrate my sister in law's birthday and because many people had told us that it was a great place, so we decided to give it a try. The chef took almost an hour to come out and when he did come out tocook our food, he didn't greet us nor make small talk, didn't do a show with the food as many people that go there like toexperience, mind you this was our first and only time going there. Literally everyone that was there got a great experiencebecause we were watching meanwhile we got our appetizers but when it was our turn we didn't get to experience it. Even to payour bill was an issue, we walked up to the front desk there was no one there, we waited for like 10 minutes until I rang thebell 3 times and someone finally came out to charge us but if not we were honestly just going to leave. I didn't know having topay your bill for a bad experience was going to be a hassle as well. I would NOT recommend anyone coming here. Spend your moneyelsewhere, ANYWHERE but here."

During this visit, we had a trainee serving us, which affected our overall experience. However, the restaurant did have a great entertainment factor for kids.

We had our first night out since Covid-19 as a family, with a group of 18. The restaurant had plenty of space and wasn't overly crowded. The food was excellent, the show was enjoyable, and the prices were unbeatable.

Drink service was fine, but we had to wait a while for our food. Apparently a reservation doesn’t give you a good idea of when you’ll be eating. Food is very mediocre for the price. I guess you’re paying for the show. Meh.

We dined at Shogun for the first time yesterday and had an incredible experience with our chef Victor. The food was absolutely fantastic, and we couldn't stop eating and laughing throughout the night. Thank you for a memorable evening! View menu

I have been to a lot of hibachi places But this food might be by far the worst! the customer service, atmosphere, and the cleanliness was great. The taste of the food was completely bland, no flavor at all. For the prices I would have hoped to gettasteful food.

The service was excellent, with the chef and waitstaff being very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious; I ordered chicken yakisoba, miso soup, and shrimp and chicken fried rice. The noodles had a bit too much sauce, but they were still tasty. The chef even tossed shrimp at us to catch in our mouths, which added a fun element to our meal. Overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant.

We had a great time at the Teppanyaki table, and Danny was a fantastic entertainer. The shrimp was well-seasoned, although the steak could have used a bit more flavor. The wine was served nicely, but I personally didn't enjoy it. Unfortunately, I did notice that the area under the table was dirty from previous guests, with rice scattered everywhere and napkins on the floor. I understand that there can be downsides to any dining experience, but cleanliness should definitely be a top priority. View menu

Shogun in palm desert. We were seated for a 7 pm reservation…we waited 30 minutes before we saw a waiter. Finally got our drinks and soup and salad all at the same time….waited another 45 minutes before our chef appeared…..he never gave us ourappetizer shrimp and my steamed rice arrived after I had finished my dinner…..then it was another 15 minutes before our checkscame and another wait until he returned with the credit card…never any words of remorse that we apologize for the slowness orlet me offer you something while you wait…..the management should not take reservations if they can’t serve the diners in atimely fashion….

Came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and were exited to try this place. First off the show the cook gave was good no problem there it was fun. The food on the other hand was not as expected. The waiters took forever to go to our table to takedrink orders or even the order. We ordered shots and took them about 15 minutes if not more to get them or just any alcoholdrinks. Then they took our miso soup when we had already gotten our food (was supposed to come after the salad) because theyforgot. Then got our order wrong, but we had waited a long time already and were hungry. So we didn't tell the cook our orderwas wrong, but we were missing the calamari since we got the combination with s...

"**ORDERED ITEM:** Modern Hippie Veggie (with added seitan) **TASTE:** First of all, if you take a quick look at some Yelp photos, you'll see how visually appealing this sandwich is, and mine looked exactly like that. But it’s not just about looks; it tastes amazing and has a wonderful texture as well. The sandwich features crack cheese, avocado, gomasio (a sesame and sea salt blend), tomato, jicama, shredded carrot, cucumber, purple pickled cabbage, fresh lettuce, and mayo on country levain bread. I opted to add seitan for extra protein. There’s a ton of ingredients packed into this sandwich, but everything comes together beautifully, resulting in a truly fantastic meal. The vegetables were all incredibly fresh and crisp, making the sandwich feel refreshing. In terms of flavor, the crack cheese has a tangy note similar to hummus. The sweetness from the carrots, the light pickling of the cabbage, the heartiness of the seitan, and the nuttiness from the gomasio blend harmoniously to create a delicious bite. I could easily eat this sandwich several times a week without any guilt. The levain bread has a nice sourdough vibe, just so you know. It’s also generously sized, making it shareable for two if you’re not too hungry. **SERVICE:** The cashier who took my order was friendly and had a positive attitude, which always makes the food taste better. You simply place your order at the register, and they bring the food to your table. I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened (11 AM) on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, and I was able to walk right in, order, and sit down without waiting. However, it did get busy shortly after, and by the time I finished my meal, there was someone waiting for my table. **LOCATION & PARKING:** This might be as helpful as a..."

"After selecting alternative dishes, the troubles continued when the restaurant failed to remove the duck from our bill, leading to an incorrect charge of $40. When we brought it to their attention, the resolution process was anything but smooth. They informed us that the refund would take 2 to 3 days to process, and, without prior notice, they recharged us the correct amount, which totaled almost $400. It was clear that Cork Tree Restaurant does not focus on providing exceptional dining experiences or catering to special celebrations. Instead, it seems to attract patrons who are willing to spend large sums on a single meal. In contrast, our visit to Cliffside was a delight—outstanding food, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere, all at a surprisingly lower price point. The differences between our experiences at Cork Tree and Cliffside underscored the importance of attentive customer service and quality dining. Cork Tree’s attempts to make amends, which included offering a gift card or voiding our bill, felt insufficient once the damage to our honeymoon experience had been done. As retail store managers ourselves, we understand customer service standards and that mistakes can occur. We’re not ones to make unreasonable complaints; we've dealt with our fair share of difficult customers. However, the series of errors at Cork Tree resulted in a significant amount being held on our account during our honeymoon, without any prior notice or a clear resolution. In conclusion, if you're in search of a remarkable dining experience, you might want to consider places like Cliffside, which prioritize exceptional service and high-quality cuisine without the steep prices associated with Cork Tree Restaurant."
