"The singer was amazing was the hilite of our evening. I came with 3 friends that have never been to Mastros- we ordered the shucked raw oysters to start I have never been to any restaurant that didn’t cut the oyster from the shell!!! We had to cut it with our knives pick the shells out of our mouths… horrible! It was like eating egg shells. I asked the server if this is normal (as it’s very strange) she said no- that’s not normal she’ll mention it to the chef… nothing was ever done or mentioned again to us. When we got the bill, we waited over 40minutes for anyone to come back to us… we finally waived down another server she started to process our bill. Our server finally came back apologized saying she got stuck downstairs (whatever that means). We ended up being there for almost 4hrs!!!! I’ve been to Mastros several times never had such bad service… sadly my friends won’t likely come back."

Had a great time dining with my cousin in the bar area. The table next to us was also lively and engaging.

Always a great meal. Steaks are so tasteful and the shrimp cocktail juicy. The service is perfect and the wine list is devine! Oh... no matter what, get the butter cake!

Always a nice place to visit, whether it is only for cocktails in the bar or an excellent culinary experience. Birthdays are the best, I had a fillet, lobster dick and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic! View menu

We really liked our anniversary dinner at Mastros last night. My steak was amazing....so delicate I could have eaten it without teeth. Great salads, great pages and the delicious chocolate cake they brought for our jubilee were the icing on the cake....literally! Can't wait to go back!

We personally have eaten Mastros in Beverly Hills several times, Mastros in Malibu and Mastros in Palm Desert twice. They never disappointed us, the appetizers are delicious and the entries were cooked for perfection. I never had a bad experience here and would recommend anyone looking for a first-class steak and seafood house.

Mastro’s in Palm Desert exceeded our expectations. We sat at our favorite place for an evening out at the bar. The service was superb as usual. We shared a Filet or should I say I had a few bites of Jeff’s Filet. I enjoyed 1/2 of my huge baked potato and spinach. The Justin Justification by the glass was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. The music was enchanting and a great pairing to Mastro’s classy atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. View menu

Server Heather was great. Efficient and friendly. Loved her. Front desk staff did not seem ready for 5:00 reservations to be seated and there was a delay. Also requested a GF menu when I booked reservation but did not receive. Gentlemen who packed our leftovers were friendly and conscientious. Food was good. One small thing is the busser asked did you guys ask for iced water? . It 's a small thing but I believe 'guys ' should not be used in a fine dining setting, especially when ladies are at the table.

the call of mastro is based on their service, the quality of steaks and ambientes. our waiter was great, informatiw, attentive and was his whole team. an extensive wine list is estimated quality of food its large, though very small portions on a large dish. overall we had a good evening and would return if some changes were made to the music volume. the music level was too loud, as the dining room is next to the lounge and has taken away from the eating company we were there. well maintained in rock music was intrusive and singer from the melodies nothing done to improve the evening.

"**ORDERED ITEM:** Modern Hippie Veggie (with added seitan) **TASTE:** First of all, if you take a quick look at some Yelp photos, you'll see how visually appealing this sandwich is, and mine looked exactly like that. But it’s not just about looks; it tastes amazing and has a wonderful texture as well. The sandwich features crack cheese, avocado, gomasio (a sesame and sea salt blend), tomato, jicama, shredded carrot, cucumber, purple pickled cabbage, fresh lettuce, and mayo on country levain bread. I opted to add seitan for extra protein. There’s a ton of ingredients packed into this sandwich, but everything comes together beautifully, resulting in a truly fantastic meal. The vegetables were all incredibly fresh and crisp, making the sandwich feel refreshing. In terms of flavor, the crack cheese has a tangy note similar to hummus. The sweetness from the carrots, the light pickling of the cabbage, the heartiness of the seitan, and the nuttiness from the gomasio blend harmoniously to create a delicious bite. I could easily eat this sandwich several times a week without any guilt. The levain bread has a nice sourdough vibe, just so you know. It’s also generously sized, making it shareable for two if you’re not too hungry. **SERVICE:** The cashier who took my order was friendly and had a positive attitude, which always makes the food taste better. You simply place your order at the register, and they bring the food to your table. I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened (11 AM) on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, and I was able to walk right in, order, and sit down without waiting. However, it did get busy shortly after, and by the time I finished my meal, there was someone waiting for my table. **LOCATION & PARKING:** This might be as helpful as a..."

"After selecting alternative dishes, the troubles continued when the restaurant failed to remove the duck from our bill, leading to an incorrect charge of $40. When we brought it to their attention, the resolution process was anything but smooth. They informed us that the refund would take 2 to 3 days to process, and, without prior notice, they recharged us the correct amount, which totaled almost $400. It was clear that Cork Tree Restaurant does not focus on providing exceptional dining experiences or catering to special celebrations. Instead, it seems to attract patrons who are willing to spend large sums on a single meal. In contrast, our visit to Cliffside was a delight—outstanding food, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere, all at a surprisingly lower price point. The differences between our experiences at Cork Tree and Cliffside underscored the importance of attentive customer service and quality dining. Cork Tree’s attempts to make amends, which included offering a gift card or voiding our bill, felt insufficient once the damage to our honeymoon experience had been done. As retail store managers ourselves, we understand customer service standards and that mistakes can occur. We’re not ones to make unreasonable complaints; we've dealt with our fair share of difficult customers. However, the series of errors at Cork Tree resulted in a significant amount being held on our account during our honeymoon, without any prior notice or a clear resolution. In conclusion, if you're in search of a remarkable dining experience, you might want to consider places like Cliffside, which prioritize exceptional service and high-quality cuisine without the steep prices associated with Cork Tree Restaurant."
