"My nice lives in the area and I was in town for a visit with her. She let me choose the restaurant and I choose this one. The staff was enthusiastic professional quick but not to the point of hectic or unsafe. We date outside and the accommodations where more than sufficient for us to have our meals and room to spare. I had the fish tacos and we split a beet salad. The tacos were perfect. The portion was enough to have to take some home. I would highly recommend it."

"California needs a better Mexican restaurant. This experience was not great at all. The two matching pigtail hair girls at the host desk seemed to not know what they were doing and seemed lost. They seated people who came in after us first when we only had a party of 2. They were constantly on their phones and even heard them talking bad about customers. The food was bland no flavor. Hard and dry and crispy. Carnitas crunched more than the chips. They were drier than a Popeyes biscuit. Drinks were weak and had no flavor. We tried 3 different drinks and all were so gross. Only the beer was good. You can not go wrong with beer or water. Seriously ONLY order beer here. They can?t mess that up. Hot sauce taste like spaghetti sauce. By far the worse tasting food I?ve had here in California. Order things that did not even come out and honestly I am glad no telling how that tasted. The only thing I enjoyed here was the live music. That says a lot. Bring Texas Mexican food over here. Probably will not come back or recommend."

"--- This was my first full meal here, and I ordered the enchiladas plate, which included three enchiladas—one with cheese and two with beef carne asada—served with rice and refried beans, as well as a lettuce garnish. Milena, my server, brought me some green salsa alongside my meal. I also ordered a half-liter bottle of Coke from Mexico in a glass, served without ice, along with a glass of water with lemon or lime and straws. I requested a second bottle of Coke and an additional side of refried beans. Everything was very satisfying! "This place is super cheap. $1.50 tacos, tortas under $6. The salsa and tacos we ordered were perfectly adequate, but you can get better tacos a little east of here for the same price. Ours here were a little dry and we found ourselves adding salsa to them which we typically don't do. We got asada, carnitas, chorizo, and pastor. All were a little dry. This isn't a bad place by any means, but if you're a taco connoisseur you might be a bit disappointed."

"Great!. I don't know why, but I was quite surprised at how good the food was at Cinco de Mayo. I guess I just didn't have high expectations walking in. <br/ <br/ They have a large selection of seafood entrees, which, for me, is great! I got the garlic shrimp which came with rice, beans and guacamole salad. If you like garlic, this shrimp is for you! I personally cannot get enough garlic so I was loving every bite!!! "First time eating here. The tables were cleared of dishes, but definitely not wiped down and cleaned. If you're looking for cleanliness and sanitation, this isn't the place for you. She didn't make us wait long before she came to ask us for our drinks, then quickly took our food order. We went for breakfast (7am) and they were already busy. Even so, our food came out quick. And it was pretty good. Both my husband and I enjoyed our plates. He got huevos rancheros, and I got oatmeal.After our food was dropped at the table, our server never came back. Almost 20 min went by, so finally we just had to ask for her. I asked for the check, She did that quickly, and then awkwardly stood there waiting for payment. I gave her the card, she brought the receipts back immediately, and stood there awkwardly AGAIN waiting for me to sign it (I couldn't keep my giggle this time). I said thanks and I'd get it to her when I was finished. Only then did she leave.At any rate, other than the service taking an unexpected turn at the end, it was an all around good experience here."

"We enjoyed our time at Uncle Julio's was not to pleased with seating arrangements I reserved two tables next to each other they were giving away and was told because they had a lot of parties but that is the reason we made reservations. I order the pinata we got our checks no pinata waitress forgot I had ordered it when ordered food had to wait about 25 mins for pinata. Otherwise food was good and staff was nice about everything but they need take their time, listen, complete one task before moving to another and honor people reservations we were not rude and did not make a really big deal but some people might not be as friendly these are important and memorable events."

"Ok. Ooooook, so, I hadn't been to this Arandinas in years! The food is great. We had the Mojarra, an order of Taquitos de pastor and I had tacos, carnitas and fajita. The tortillas de maíz are handmade! ? The Mexican Martini wasn't that great, I recommend the frozen mango margarita w/ chamoy, whaaaaaa!?!?!?? Cute bar. The only thing I can say about service is, don't expect it to be good. The waitress didn't pick up one dirty dish or beer bottle. ?We just accumulated dishes nd junk for the time we were there until I handed some to her asking her to take them with her. I think her face was in pain because she couldn't ? Iluego quieren el TIP, no manchen! ? I'd go back though. The chile rellenos are deeeeeelish!!! Lol No pics, we were HANGRY??"

"Today, when I called to place my order, I spoke with two different staff members who both informed me that they wouldn't compensate me for the queso because I hadn't called immediately after the incident or because I didn't have a copy of my receipt. Although I do have a credit card charge that shows the amount I paid, I still didn’t receive the queso. It shouldn’t be difficult to see that I didn't get what I paid for. Additionally, my parents have encountered several issues with missing items from their orders as well. While I generally enjoy the food at El Porto, their customer service leaves much to be desired."

"The building is nice inside and outside. The parking lot was clean and there was plenty of parking. I was there for a business meeting. I ordered the lunch portion of three enchiladas. The service was slow and the wait staff doesn't work together for the benefit of all customers. Eye contact is limited and I had to get the attention of someone to order. My water wasn't refilled and I never received my check. When I was ready to go, I walked to the register and paid for my meal. The salsa is wonderful and not very spicy. It was just right in my opinion. The guacamole needed lots of salt to bring out the flavor. The cheese sauce was delicious and, most of all the enchiladas were perfect. All in all it was a great experience but the wait staff needs to step it up. Tips are earned not just given because you took my order and handed me my food with no interaction. Overall I recommend going to this place for a delicious Mexican meal!"

"Not sure why this place has negative reviews on here. It was by far the best Mexican food I've ever had, aside from the queso which was the only weak part of the meal. I ordered the filet mignon fajitas which actually came with a separate queso. Still not the best queso, but I enjoyed that one more than the standard. The meat was tender and flavorful and all of the ingredients seemed extremely fresh. Our waiter was great and seemed to love his job. It's more expensive than most Mexican restaurants, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. That being said, I will definitely return."

"Casa Mia was really really good, service to the food, the ambiance to the drinks, all of it was super good. The nachos were warm when served, the salsa had the right heat and spice to it and the bean dip was warm and good. The food to start with the chilli relleno was super good and unique. The base was a tomato sauce layered with skirt steak, topped with cheese stuffed battered chili and then a blob of sour cream. The meat was tender and flavourful. The chicken topped shrimp was very good. Chimichanga were good and finally the fajitas were heavenly. Overall a 5 ????? rating..."

"My mom loves this place and anytime she's in town, she wants to go there to eat. Service is always hit or miss. This time it was a miss. Food and drinks came out just fine but when it came time for our bill that I asked for, it took asking 3 more people and 20 minutes just to get it. Back to the food; the queso was super watery and didn't even resemble what queso should look or even taste like. We didn't touch it after our first bite. The fajita taco salad was good but the enchiladas were dry. It was kinda disappointing because we really used to love this place. Maybe they were just having one of those off days. I'm sure we'll be back because this is my mom's favorite place but I can definitely think of much better mexican food to consume elsewhere in Houston. I'm genuinely disappointed."

"The ambiance was fantastic, but the service was severely lacking. It took an eternity for drinks to arrive for our table of six adults and one child. The server brought the drinks and then immediately left the table without asking if we wanted to place our food orders. He returned five minutes later to take our order, but after that, there was no follow-up to see if everything was okay. He only stopped by to ask if we needed tortillas and then vanished again. Overall, the service was quite disappointing."
