"Another frustrating point is that they charge extra for to-go boxes. After we finished our meal, the waitress came over to add a 50-cent charge for each box to a bill that was already over $100—talk about stingy! They implemented this policy during COVID when to-go Fish Fries were popular, but it still seems unreasonable. On this visit, we specifically requested small boxes, but she insisted on giving us large ones, which I'm sure cost more. The prices should include the cost of supplies. I didn't use the restroom while I was there, but would I have had to pay a quarter for toilet paper, too? They really need to rethink their business practices!
We used to live nearby in Eden, where this restaurant was great and convenient. Now, with a 25-minute drive ahead of us, we still made the effort to visit because it used to be reasonably priced with generous portions of good food. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. There's nothing about it that justifies the drive anymore, and there are plenty of other options for a good fish fry in Western New York."
