"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. We submitted a reservation through this platform and explained it was our anniversary. We arrived exactly at appointed time. The entrance was a little cluttered upon our arrival as the Manager was collecting names of newly arrived guests (ours and a couple in front of us) to sort out the seating. As this was happening, another couple entered the restaurant. To make room and be considerate, my wife and I stepped aside, which allowed them to speak with the hostess. My wife and I continue chatting while waiting for our table, when the hostess sits the couple that arrived after us in our seat. There was no communication between the manager and the host, which caused us to miss out on our table. They told us to take a seat at the bar to wait for a new table to become available because all tables were occupied in the establishment. This was disappointing but they comped our first round of drinks. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartenders were excellent attentive and they made fantastic drinks. It wasn't long until we ran into more issues. When my wife attempted to order her meal, they explained they were out of Filet Mignon. Unfortunately, my wife made the choice to order the New York Strip. The cook on the steak was what we requested but there was no seasoning on the steak, like it had been forgotten entirely. We attempted to revive it by adding our own salt and pepper; it didn't work out. The restaurant removed the charge from our tab we left it. I ordered the ribeye and thought it was perfectly fine. We both enjoyed our sides: Mac Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans. We also liked the Brie and Choc Pistachio Cake. After the disappointing meal, my wife got very sick after dinner that evening. There was no other opportunity for her to get sick other than the dinner. Instead of celebrating five years of marriage in a proper manner, she was fighting for her life on the toilet."

"One of my favorite local restaurants because of their amazing food and drinks. I normally order a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board, but I wanted to try something different this time. My sister got a lemon drop mocktail which was a little sour, but just the right amount. She said it was delicious I had the Penelope Pussycat which had Bacoo 8 year aged rum, Liqueur de Violette, and lemon juice. The drink had such a pretty color and had an interesting flavor to it as well! For appetizers, we had the Gambas al Aljillo which had a nice corn salsa to go along with it. We also had the Roasted Cauliflower which was cooked perfectly and the Beef Kushiyaki which came with chilled soba noodles. The Beef Kushiyaki was something so unique that I would not have thought I was in a wine bar. It was so flavorful! For our entree we got the Black Truffl'd Fettucine. The pasta was a bit bland, and I was surprised because I usually always order that pasta and it's my favorite. I think the sauce might have been a bit watered down. For dessert we had some tea and the Meritagewich' which comes with homemade chocolate chip cookies. The tea and dessert was perfect for a cold day!I definitely recommend trying this place out with a few friends and ordering a bunch of small plates to share. This way you can try a bit of everything. I really loved every single small plate we ordered! Thank you so much to the staff that made our experience a pleasant one"

"We went for our 35th anniversary dinner, a notation of which was made at the time of booking the reservation, and confirmed upon our arrival. Big mistake. Huge. The wait staff were kind, but completely clueless. The service was painfully slow and hardly attentive, despite the fact that there was only a handful of tables seated. We were served a miniature bread basket with miniature pieces of miniature rolls that had been cut into quarters...probably hours (days? before. They were so hard and stale that they were inedible. When we mentioned it to our server, she suggested that it was because they were placed under a heat lamp (what, yesterday? , but neglected to offer us anything fresh to replace it. The pork belly appetizer was dry and pretty tasteless. The sea bass was so dry that it was inedible, and I couldn't even cut through the upper crust because it was so overcooked. A replacement entree wasn't offered, and I had to get a visit from the manager after the meal to get it removed from our bill. Lucky for me that my husband wasn't too hungry, as he offered me half of his steak. We chose the chocolate cake for the dessert they comped us in honor of our anniversary (though there were no celebratory good wishes forthcoming . The cake was as dry as sand, and the frosting was equally flavorless. We couldn't finish it. Not surprisingly, on our way out (and we had to stand and move toward the door before we found someone to give us our check , the two recently vacated tables near ours (still uncleared BOTH had unfinished portions of the same cake left on them. Pretty disappointing, given not only how pricey the menu is, but not a great celebration of our 35 years of marriage."

"Review of The Fed Restaurant, Clarkston, MI The Fed, nestled in the heart of Clarkston, is a dining establishment that intertwines history and contemporary ambiance. One cannot help but admire the charm of the retained original vault, which adds a distinctive touch to the restaurant 's aesthetic. This vintage element coupled with the modern décor crafts an inviting atmosphere, promising a memorable experience for diners. However, a restaurant is not solely about its ambiance; it 's the culmination of service, food, and atmosphere. On this front, there were areas where The Fed faltered during our visit. Service, often the backbone of a dining experience, left much to be desired. Despite being first-timers eager to explore their offerings, our waitress checked on us a mere two times. Such infrequent attention does leave patrons, especially those new to the establishment, feeling somewhat neglected. The culinary journey was a mixed bag. On one hand, the shrimp alfredo was presented well, but the accompanying bread was a letdown. Burnt not once, but twice, it detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish. This oversight raises concerns about the consistency in the kitchen. The salmon, though decently prepared, was overshadowed by sauces that didn 't quite hit the mark on flavor. Further attention to detail was needed in the upkeep of the establishment itself. In a setting that markets itself as more upscale in the Clarkston dining scene, burnt-out light bulbs in multiple fixtures seemed out of place. Such a simple oversight can influence the overall perception of the venue. Considering the price point of $125 for our meal, the expectations were naturally elevated. While The Fed offers an intriguing atmosphere and shows potential, the dining experience was inconsistent. A little more attention to detail, both in service and culinary execution, would go a long way in elevating the establishment to its perceived stature. Would we return? Perhaps, in hopes of a more consistent experience. But for now, The Fed left us with mixed feelings."
