"The Girl and the fig is my go-to, cozy restaurant in Sonoma. Loved by us locals and out-of-town visitors alike. Our server was excellent, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with. My friend was late, so I started with the Fig Royale Champagne cocktail like Emily in Paris. Then I ordered the olives, which came out nice and warm, shared the pear salad with endive and gorgonzola, then one of my favorite dishes, the Quiche Lorraine, which tastes like both a desert and entree with its custardy filling, served with greens and pomme frites and aioli. The best of both worlds! I rounded it out with a glass of Rousanne and espresso for my girlfriend. Catching up with my bestie over a leisurely lunch was never so good!!"
