"Reservations were made 1 1/2 weeks in advance for 7 PM seating. Window seating was requested at that time. Upon our prompt arrival, we were informed that there would be a 20 to 25 minute wait for our window seating. This was no problem as we went to the bar for a pre dinner cocktail. About the time that we were finishing our drinks we were told that our table was ready. We were then lead to an interior table that had been vacant all along. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but was curtly told that this was the only table available so I relented. Within 2 minutes of our seating, I watched as a window table was cleared and new settings placed. My question Why even bother with a reservation system if you can't train your staff to perform the service. We started the dinner with the clam and mussel appetizer and bottle of dry white wine. Very tasty and well presented. My main course consisted of grilled prawns, garlic potatoes and green beans. My wife chose one of the house salmon specials. Both dinners were well presented and tasty. Our waiter was prompt and performed well. Dinner prices are high as too be expected at a restaurant with such nice viewings of the Columbia River (if you are lucky enough to get window seating). Our dinner total for 2 including our pre dinner cocktails came to $180."

"Just okay. And normally that wouldn't be a big deal but this place is so overhyped and after dining here I can truly say it's also over priced. I was really looking forward to eating here based on all the great reviews and made a reservation for a special occasion. To my great disappointment the food was bland, lacking any kind of oomph at all, and was extremely forgettable. That's a crime when you take into account the steep prices they charge, and an almost unforgivable one when you realize the great ingredients they work with. I just moved here from NY and the cliché is that chefs on the west coast don't try hard and have to be less creative, possibly due to the quality of ingredients here. Now, I've had plenty of experiences in LA, SF, and the East Bay to prove otherwise. Unfortunately this was not one of them. Wake up, Homestead, and try to get excited about the opportunity to not just serve great ingredients but also layer flavors to serve great composed dishes. My experience makes me wonder if your name is short for (eat at)Home(in)stead. P.S. The flavors don't do my pictures justice."

"A bit of a let down tbh, was hoping it to be a bit more authentic. ?kepta duona (fried bread with garlic and cheese) was quite good, ?saltibarsciai (cold Beetroot soup) the soup itself was nice but the potatoes it came with so weird, had to leavethem.. ? both balandeliai (cabbage rolls) and apkepti cepelinai (baked zeppelin) was clearly cooked by someone not Lithuanian, asort of a twist on these classic dishes and not very good twist on either of the dishes. Service was alright, atmosphere was OK( just a few tables but it was an early Tuesday afternoon) The beer was great ???? At the end of the day, it's nice to have aplace like this just hope it would be a bit more authentic ????"

"2 months ago I made reservations to sit on the water. when we were the blonde hostess there (name? was a complete spaz that ran around everywhere and told us that we had to find somewhere else. she was completely rude and unwilling. our waitress was abby or ally, she was brilliant and took the time to clean a table on the water. her service was fabulous. the square stools on which they sit are awfully uncomfortable. I ordered a lobster roll. it had a terrible spicy that made it bitter and I am sure it was white fish and not praised. I had a lot of lobsters, and that tasted nothing like praise. Apart from the point of view of the water, there was nothing outstanding at this restaurant and I would not recommend it or back. only one note: when I left, I stopped at the bar to change as a US dollar shock. when the barmaid returned it to Canada, I said I forgot that I would come back from Canada, but that was ok. However, that the same blonde hostess / waitress spoke up and said well they are in Canada . I did not have to be reminded of the obvious this rude person, I only gave a comment."

"They have incredible variety here. I shared a box of many different varieties of Baklavah including pistachio. Extra syrup containers on the side for anyone wanting it sweeter was appreciated by my tasters. We also tried assorted cookies that were also delish. I look forward to tasting breads, and specialty cakes. 5 stars!"

"Stopped here this afternoon and absolutely loved the experience. The decor was so cute and so fitting for the restaurant. It has this cottage-y/forest theme with a forest wallpaper and flowers all over for decor which makes for a very pleasant dining experience. It was also very clean which definitely matters, especially now. Most importantly, the food here is so amazing. I love that they have authentic recipes coupled with descriptions/history (which is a bonus) on their menu so newbies understand where the food comes from. Overall, I'll definitely come here much more in the future."

"We had a larger group and wanted to go out for brunch but brunch places were crazy busy. This ended up so much better than we could have asked for! The party platter was beyond delicious and the crispy eggplant was a huge hit for in person dining! They have some unique traditional flavors perfect for the adventurous or simple eats great for kids and picky eaters. The ambiance is classy, upscale, and beautiful! Space between tables is generous to kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself. Would go bac … – show"

"On Saturday, June 15, 2024, we decided to stop by Elite Bakery, located at 5150 Fair Oaks Blvd, Ste 107, Carmichael, CA 95608. The bakery has a charming and clean atmosphere. It is open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The cashier was patient and professional while we placed our order. We tried a croissant and two chocolate chip cookies. While the croissant was a bit on the dry side for my taste, the chocolate chip cookie was just okay. If we return, there are several other pastries that caught our eye, although I'm not sure what they were called. The bakery also has a small parking lot, and there are a few other businesses in the area, so finding parking was not an issue when we visited."

"Fantastic Ukrainian food in a warm and cozy atmosphere. This restaurant is on a very nice property with a beautiful outdoor terrace for warmer weather and a cozy dining room inside. The service is warm and friendly and the food is delicious and comforting. Very authentic, reminds me of what I ate when I spent time living in Eastern Europe. I hope this business continues to thrive! Food: 5"

"Had the number three, a prosciutto Parma sub and it is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Fantastic fresh baked bread, high quality meat and cheeses make a phenomenal combo. I also always have to get a few of the fresh baked Demi-baguettes and one generally doesn’t make it home they’re so good. Ignore the other reviews about bad customer service, they service one or two orders at a time and finish those before starting another so while it may seem like they’re “ignoring” you they’re just making sure that what they’re currently working on comes out perfect."

"What a hidden gem! The menu is so unusual but everything we tried was sssssoooooooo good! Wine selection and the right serving temperature left me very happy, as some other places still don 't chill their reds. Scallops and salo such an elegant dish, salo is so tender, it almost tastes sweet, goes very well with beautifully prepared and seasoned scallops. Buckwheat salad was probably the best vegetarian dish i 've ever had, highly recommended! Very umami, crispy, flavorful. and the Duck breast ' was so tender, with that blood orange and carrot pure on the bottom it was to die for! Everyone there was very friendly and nice, our server was knowledgable and gave very helpful recommendations. The atmosphere was very cozy, the glass ceiling is something you don 't see too often in the city. We are definitely coming back to try more!"

"Not being very familiar with Armenian cuisine, I asked for some recommendations and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was absolutely delicious. The waiter even brought out all the desserts for me to choose from, which was a nice touch. I felt a bit uneasy at first, as I sometimes do in Eastern European establishments (I'm over 50% Eastern European, but I don’t fit the typical appearance), but the woman made me feel very welcome and took great care of me. I would definitely return. I also enjoyed a berry juice that came with actual berries, and they provided a spoon so I could savor every last delightful piece."

"My wife and I visited this restaurant four years ago while attending a softball tournament. We live in Louisville, KY, where we have a few great pizza places. I've tried pizzas in many states, including some famous spots in Chicago, but four years ago, I declared Salvo’s had the best pizza I’d ever tasted. When we walked in, an older Italian gentleman served us an incredible pie. Fast forward to today, and we decided to stop by again on our way back to Louisville. I have to say, my only regret is that we didn’t order another XL pie to take home with us. This place is still amazing, even after four years! It’s clear they haven’t rested on their laurels. Please keep up the fantastic work, and we can’t wait to visit again soon!"

"I recently ordered from this fantastic café and bakery for the first time, and I couldn't be happier! Everything was packed carefully, and all of my selections were not only delicious but also incredibly fresh. I highly recommend the rainbow cake—it's the best I've ever tasted! I'll definitely be ordering again, and the prices were very reasonable, too. Thank you!"

"Overall, the food here was incredibly delicious. Since we had never tried Central Asian cuisine before, we ordered a variety of dishes! While some items could have used a little more salt, the overall seasoning was fantastic. The Plov wasn't as impressive, but the Chicken Tabaka and lamb chops were outstanding. Don't miss out on the roasted potatoes—they're packed with flavor and absolutely delicious! Their pierogis are also the best I've had in quite a while; I couldn’t stop reaching for them. The restaurant has a small, cozy atmosphere, and the staff is friendly, although a bit on the slow side when it comes to service. We found ourselves frequently asking for water refills and had to signal a staff member for assistance, as they didn’t check in with us regularly. Despite this, they were very kind, just not very attentive. We'll definitely return because the food is out of this world!"
