"We attended a Yelp event here for a wine/pairing event. Learned a lot, taste tested several wines and got to meet their lovely Sommolier. We made a reservation for dinner, immediately following the event. Owner came to talk to those of who were attending the event, very knowledgeable, very passionate about the product he was providing to his customers. We ordered, dim sum planner, the wings, lobster rangoon, and the randang. Dim sum platter had three dumplings and they were enormous, but delicious. Presentation was lovely. A lot of meat, more than I normally expect in a dumpling. The Lobster Rangoon was amazing. So light, crispy, flavorful, and I liked that they were in tubular format and not the normal pinched dumpling (Chinese style that many served too much extra breading on those, not enough rangoon! I could have order multiple lobster rangoons and eaten that for dinner. Also, really enjoyed the upscale presentation of these shareable platters. (Photos posted to the page! The randang was just as you would expect, after hearing the story behind this meal being a home cooked meal and not commercialized yet in Asian cuisine, hearty and savory! The wings were AMAZING! They were so delicious... presentation had a sprinkling of sesame seeds, served on a bed of greens. So tasty! Husband and I unanimously agreed that would could easily go there, post up in a booth, drink wine and eat three servings of those wings. T'was a lovely little date night and we left with absolutely no leftovers, regardless of how much food we ordered. Don't judge us."

"Our visit was try the burger that was featured in Texas Monthly on a Tuesday evening. One person in the group wanted to try the Fried Chicken another menu item FOLC is known for in the area. The server took the order then came back to tell us they were out of Fried Chicken on a TUESDAY nite! In lieu of the chicken she went with the Schnitzel another fav on the menu only when asked how she would like the egg that tops the item; she asked for poached. The sever came back and said they could NOT poach the egg. Kitchen basics must have had the dishwasher working that evening. On top of that one of persons at our Table is a Wine distributor for FOLC and the servers rude demeanor and attitude were embarrassing; Not to mention that we told there was NOT a corkage fee; then when the bill arrived we were charged corkage fees. We only brought in bottles one of the bottles on the table we purchased as it was suggested by the server to go great with the burger. We paid for that bottle plus the corkage fee on that bottle. of us at the table are ALL in the service industry, Wine Distributor and Restaurateurs. I don't think any of us will be going back. I hope that just because you are featured in a magazine doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful to your patrons that come on a regular basis and suggest and recommend your establishment to others. FOLC is now completely off my list. Other than the crummy service that evening the Burger was excellent and lives up to Texas Monthly's feature story."
