"I generally have a high tolerance for issues at restaurants, but I was quite frustrated with my experience at BJ's Restaurant Brewhouse. It took 10 minutes to make an espresso martini that was made from a mix in a can, and this happened not once but twice. The bartender never checked on how our food was, and when we ordered dessert, she took it away without asking if we were finished. The bartender seemed bothered by our presence throughout our meal, making us feel like an inconvenience. However, the service improved when it came time to pay the bill."

"Service was slow. There were 15 servers/bus people but oddly enough most tables still had menus so it was safe to assume orders had not been taken yet. The appetizers came out after the entrees and the salad meant for an entree came out well before anything else. We were never checked up during the meal and drinks went dry without offering any refills. For the number of servers walking around, I would expect better service. I don’t know if the exciting NBA game on the tv was distracting, but the service was noticeable. I do appreciate that our reservation was accommodated 30 minutes early."

"I went in with modest expectations, mainly anticipating a wait for a table due to the packed parking lot. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the restaurant is, and we were seated right away. Our server promptly greeted us, compensating for the rather lackluster welcome we received from the host. She was friendly, addressed our questions, offered great suggestions, and checked on us a few times during our meal—truly providing five-star service. Our server mentioned that they had recently updated their menu, which may explain the discrepancies with their online offerings. I ordered the Gateway omelette, which now includes spinach, mushrooms, onions, house-made hash, and cheese, creating a delicious blend of flavors. The corned beef hash was tender and packed with taste. I added onions to my home fries and opted for a side of rye toast—everything was enjoyable. My husband ordered poached eggs and praised the hollandaise sauce as excellent. The only downsides were that my omelette was slightly overcooked and crisp on the outside, the poached eggs were a bit too firm, and the well-done home fries were tougher than expected. Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The value is fantastic, as there’s plenty of food for the price, coupled with excellent service from our server. We will certainly be returning for more!"

"Overall, the food was average. The burgers were large, however, you pay a premium for French fries. I would rather they just inflate the price and make French fries standard. The included item is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed shrimp, which didn't have a lot of flavor. I could tell I was eating shrimp and crab, but there wasn't much flavor. The portion was four stuffed shrimp. However, the shrimp were of the medium variety that I would buy at my local market. They were ripped with a tablespoon size crab ball. I had to pay a premium for cheese on my potato. This dish was $29, which I was prepared to pay, but was disappointed when it came out. Or meal was $95 (including a 15% tip). I'd also like to add we all had water to drink. I think the bill was a tad too much when two people in my party had a burger. The best part was dining outside right at the water. I drove from central Virginia to dine there, and am not sure if do it again. Just so so."

"Came here for dinner on a Friday night. I was greeted by Emily, friendly and cordial. I started with a Chili Mango Margarita, refreshing!!. Freshly baked warm Sourdough bread was brought shortly after ordering my meal. I ordered the Pecan Crusted King Salmon, accompanied with Garlic Mashed Potato, Brussels Sprouts, and Maple Butter. Great selection, salmon cooked to perfection, well balanced flavors dish. For dessert, the Brownie Sundae, great choice; brownie served warm!! My server Melissa was professional and attentive. This restaurant has great menu selection, good service with great ambiance."

"The vibe and the people are great; if the food were on par, this place would be 5-stars. I knew it was diner food going into it, so I wasn’t expecting to have my socks knocked off or anything. When I asked for a recommendation, I was told the Crab Benedict was a solid choice. What I got was a bland and chewy lump of crab meat covered in an equally flavorless and unappealing hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were partially burnt and way over-peppered and had a rather unpleasant aftertaste. Set your expectations low for the food, then go a notch or two lower, and you’ll have a great time at Chick Ruth’s. I wish I could’ve hung out with the staff all day and watch as they engage with the locals and each other."

"Overall rating:So-so. Super casual vibe that feels like a blend of a sports bar, cafeteria, and a garage (but a nice garage).Pros: super customer service and knowledgeable and polite staff. Very clean , plenty of food and beverage options for all sorts of appetites and they have more than just sports on their plethora of televisions. Family friendly seating with options to sit at the bar for an all adult group. Got us in very quickly. Prices are okay, not a deal if you are looking for one, and also not outrageously prices either. Separate entrance for pick up orders.Cons: I had the worst Pina Colada I have ever had. It was not blended at all, had big chunks of flavorless ice, and looked sloppy. They were out of Tuna, the only reason I wanted to go in the first place. Buns of the mini sliders had no flavor and were cold. Grilling the buns with some butter would have made a huge difference. The spicy brussel sprouts were burnt and too charred to enjoy and while I am not a sauce person, there was not enough sauce.Summary: Okay, nothing special, good for a casual lunch or dinner, if you don't mind eating in the open and without privacy."
