"I went to the restaurant last Saturday at 8:40. It was a very busy night when Rutland had his Halloween parade. I was greeted by a host named Sara who told me that restaurant is very busy and they don't take more tables. I said I don't need a table and I just wanted to order the dessert. I was with my autistic son and the dessert was for him. Sara then told me that the restaurant had been sold completely out of the food and was not a dessert left. Since I asked a few questions in disbelief, a waitress named Lexi has come into the conversation, which she regrets, but they can't sit more tables. I explained again, I don't have to sit, I just wanted to order Dessert, go for my son. Lexi, saw me in the eye and said we had nothing left. No food. The restaurant was so busy that they sold from each dessert on the menu. At this point I went past the hostess and told them I would go to the bar to have a drink. I went to the very crowded bar and was greeted by a nice bartender, who gave me a dinner menu and asked if you guys eat? What? There's food? It is still possible to order? The same menu as the dining room? Why? I ordered a sandwich and 6 desserts to go! I'm not sure if the waitress just didn't want to stick with a late table or what the problem was, but I definitely don't think it's going to be blatant. I've been working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, closing at 9 a.m. on a Saturday night is early no matter where you are geographically located, but just because a restaurant closes at 9 a.m. does not mean that a server is done or will leave at that time and it was 8:40 a.m. not 9 when I arrived. These two young ladies were insane and insensitive. It was clear that my son was moved, and a little kindness and good customer service would have gone a long way. Something as simple as let me know that the main dining room was closed, but I was welcome to order in the bar would be appreciated and much better than such an absurd line of Bullcrap. Table 24, I was very disappointed, these young ladies represented you badly and have no business in the hospitality industry. I give your bartender a 5-star rating though!"

"Got breakfast here, but boy, do they skimp out on ingredients. I got the dungeness crab omelette, described as coming with avocado. The omelette itself was tasty but couldn't have been made with more than two small eggs. The crab meat itself was great, and I had a few good mouthfuls. The single small slice of avocado that came on top of the omelette... was kind of sad. I got the homefries with it, and they didn't look like photos I had seen in other reviews. Maybe I didn't look close enough. I expected pan-fried potatoes, onions, and peppers. Instead, I got small cubed potatoes that seem to have been deep fried or even air fried. They were crispy and dry on the outside and slightly moist in the center. I got maybe 3 specks of bell pepper, and likewise for the onion. It also came with a biscuit, and this was the star of the plate. The other items might have well been a side to this thing. It came with butter and what I think was strawberry rhubarb jam, which I loved. The buiscuit was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the center. Unfortunately, the food also came out luke-warm, I don't need it to be screaming hot, but it definitely had been sitting at the pass a little too long or something. The staff was very nice and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere. Overall, my meal wasn't bad. It had plenty that I liked, but it was way overpriced for the portion and could have come out hotter/fresher. If the homefries would have been better, that and the buiscuit could have made me overlook the meager omelette. I would like to come back and try dinner sometime. "HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am an OpenTable VIP member and have used this service for over ten years. I eat out a lot! I have rated restaurants with bad service or bad food when necessary, but this is the first review that I rated low on their overall score. My visit to Del Frisco's ended with the most horrible experience I have ever experienced in restaurant dining. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in City Center Washington, DC, has always been my go-to for celebrations. I was at the restaurant on 3/2/2024 to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our server was good, and the food was excellent. However, this restaurant's MANAGERS ARE NOT TRAINED TO MANAGE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES. The company hires managers who do not have the required experience, training, or temperament to work in a customer service/restaurant service environment. Here is a quick recap of the events that led to this poor rating. I used the valet service company for this restaurant. However, the valet did not return my car to me at the end of my restaurant visit. I returned to the restaurant to ask for assistance to locate my car (it was midnight, and I was trying to get home). The manager was rude and refused to provide any help or information to contact the valet service company (which Del Frisco's allows to provide valet services to their customers). The manager, very smug and angry with us for continuing to request his help, refused my continuous requests (over the phone and in person) for help, and I used my phone to record the manager's denial to help me. The manager, Juan Hernandez, became angry and violent and physically attacked me and used extreme force to take my phone out of my hand. I had to rely on DC Police to help me locate and retrieve my car. No restaurant experience should end with a physical attack by the restaurant's manager. I do not recommend this restaurant."
