"Visited for the first time today for their Sunday Brunch. The restaurant is lovely and you have a view of the waterfront from nearly every table. The waitstaff was exceptional and cordial. Drinks were brought expediently, water filled before glassesbecame empty, plates cleared quickly, and checked often to see if we needed anything. The food was very good as well. You hadyour standard breakfast offerings plus a custom omelet station. The bacon was well prepared and the grits were good. Those aretwo difficult things for a lot of restaurants to get right, but Jackson's pulled it off. The grits had a few lumps by the time Igot around to them but they still had great flavor and were overall creamy. I liked that the eggs were soft as well, overcookedscrambled eggs are just not appetizing. There was an assortment of seafood dishes that I did not partake in, but my friendsenjoyed them. I enjoyed my lunch selections even more than breakfast. I sampled the brisket, which was so flavorful andcompletely tender, chicken that was in an olive sauce, olive feta salad, and probably my favorite of the regular food itemswas the flank steak with yucca, amazing! I would suggest adding a couple more side dish items, there were some baby potatoes, but mashed potatoes, a rice dish, or mixed veggies would have been nice as well. (And I'll be honest, there might have been somemore options that I missed) I wasn't very tempted by the dessert options. The mint chocolate macaron, and the bread puddingwere the stand outs here. I wish I had saved room for more of the bread pudding! People will balk at the $40 price for thismeal, but honestly it's not that bad. It's a nice restaurant with a great view, attentive staff, and for the most part reallygood food that you can enjoy as much of as you like. Something else I appreciated was that their chairs are comfortable andvery lightweight. Very easy to pull out and sit close to the table. I wish more restaurants would follow suit"
