"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"Fun decor makes the place stand out. However, the restaurant was clearly short on staff, especially at the bar (15 minutes for our drinks to be served). Our beleaguered waiter apologized several times for the delays. Once they arrived, the special cocktails were very tasty. We cancelled our 2nd round after waiting so long that we finished all our food and were ready to leave before the waiter came by again to apologize. We really enjoyed the hummus with amazing laffa bread , a fresh from the oven plate sized pita with za 'atar. The kabobs were good but not great; served over very plain rice or couscous, with lame grilled vegetables consisting of a barely warmed tomato wedge and onion slice. The kitchen seems to be serving 2 restaurants Pearl is next to Bohemia. If you want Middle Eastern food, go to a La Marsa location for better food, bigger portions and good service. If you want a cocktail bar, there are plenty of those where you might actually get served before you 're ready to leave. Now I know why it was easy to get a reservation there on a Saturday, when every other place in Royal Oak was booked on Open . The word is out."

"My friends and I absolutely love the Soup Peddler! My favorite drinks are the Busy Bee and the Peach Yogurt Honey—they never let me down. They're rich, creamy, and consistently good. The grilled cheese is fantastic, and the Turkey and Pepper Jack sandwich is truly unbeatable. Plus, the soups are incredibly comforting when I'm looking for something warm. I'm originally from Dallas, but whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to visit the Soup Peddler at least once. I also adore this particular location; it's a cozy little shack that's truly an Austin gem."

"I hadn't been here before, but since I was in the area for a meeting and needed lunch, I decided to give it a try. The calzone sounded appealing, and I’m glad I went for it! It was delicious! The pepperoni was full of flavor, the spicy red sauce was just the right amount, and the ricotta had a nice creamy texture without being too soft. I also really enjoyed the side dishes. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a great experience!"

"Wonderful contemporary Italian food! It's hard to guarantee a spot especially without being able to make a reservation so be sure to get there early! We loved the tasting menu which is only $35 for a 2 course meal- a pasta and entree! The bread- excellent garlic spread to put on bread and to tip into olive oil From love to Maui- sweet pretty delicious cocktail Pici- LOVED, very tender lamb with fresh pasta. The breadcrumbs were a wonderful touch adding an appealing texture Gnocchi- light and easy to eat initially Short rib- perfectly cooked, tender and filling Cod- fun to eat from the parchment paper, very lightly seasoned, very soft and almost melts like butter! The only thing I would have liked to be different was the chairs. They were a bit awkward and deep, which were not very comfortable. However I really did enjoy the atmosphere and setting"

"Sauce on the side has always been a great option for vegans. They may not have vegan cheese, but they offer plenty of veggies and the marinara and dough for their calzones are vegan. Recently, they introduced the Skinny V calzone, which includes Vegan Pepperoni, Vegan Meatballs, Vegan Cheese, White Onion, Green Peppers, and Roasted Garlic, served with Spicy Red Sauce. It's delicious! I plan on. trying it without peppers next time and adding olives and mushrooms. I'm thrilled to have this fully vegan option available. It may not be listed on their online menu, but you can order it online. Initially, it was only available at the Grove location, but I have heard that it will be or already is offered at all locations. I encourage everyone to give it a try!"

"Gorst time in Missouri and we came her for lunch after visiting the arch. The lady at the front was very helpful when we told her it was our first time there and super nice. You order your food and drink (we got fountain drinks) and then sit down and they bring your food to you. I will say I'm from NC and the fountain soda options they had were very weird to me but the black cherry soda was delicious. Food came out quick and it was delicious!"

"First, this was my first time having a calzone, ever, 2nd, there’s no reason anything should taste as American and delicious as the Murica calzone, 3rd, not sure if the staff here just have an excellent sense of humor or does not want me to order from their store again (tip not high enough? , but after chomping away at my calzone, a huge clove of raw garlic falls out, and anyone who has ever eaten raw garlic knows the discomfort that comes shortly after chewing.
