"I ordered an Old Fashioned, having previously enjoyed a strong one on my last visit. This time, however, it was disappointing—not strong at all. The fruit muddled at the bottom not only interfered with the flavor but also left a chalky aftertaste. To make matters worse, it seemed like the staff was completely oblivious to the fact that a majority of the diners (10 out of 12) were visibly uncomfortable, huddled in their jackets because the restaurant was quite cold. I was dressed in a sweatshirt, hat, and sweatpants—and I usually run hot—but even I felt chilly. My plate was cold to the touch after just 10 minutes of eating, and the asparagus served with my main course was equally cold. I had ordered the filet mignon, which was recommended by our server. When asked how I wanted it cooked, I specifically requested medium rare. To my dismay, the steak arrived so rare that it was chewy, with one side oozing while the other was barely cooked. When I informed the server, she quickly took it back to the kitchen. However, when it returned, it was still blood red rare. For $13, my Old Fashioned was unsatisfactory, and the $49 filet mignon had been undercooked not just once, but twice. This raises serious questions about the bartender’s understanding of what an Old Fashioned should be, the chef’s ability to properly cook the most expensive cut of beef on the menu, and the waitstaff’s awareness of the discomfort their guests were experiencing in a dining room that felt like it was maintained at a chilly 50 degrees. In the end, I did enjoy spending time with my friend and left feeling full, but I can't shake the feeling that I didn’t experience true fine dining or even a quality meal."

"Prompt seating with our Thanksgiving evening dinner reservation. The prix fixe menu was terrific and easy to navigate. They offered several options for all in the party to enjoy. The servers and Manager were extremely helpful. We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit. We would certainly return again."

"We've been dining here for many years, and after a three-year hiatus, we still love it just as much. Chef Greg and Betsey do an incredible job serving up delicious food alongside warm, friendly service. During our recent stay on Bainbridge, we visited twice. On our first night, we sat at the bar, and despite the restaurant being at full capacity, we enjoyed a fantastic meal of seared fresh wild salmon and mussels frites. Our server was delightful, and we had an engaging conversation with Betsey about their innovative cocktail program. You absolutely must try the chef’s house-made rolls with cultured butter – they’re warm, crusty, and perfect. Everything he prepares is exceptional, and there are truly no bad choices here. We're thrilled to see this restaurant thriving despite the challenges facing the hospitality industry. Marche is a true gem that is well worth seeking out."

"We enjoyed the pizza meatball, Buffalo chicken meatballs and traditional. We each got 3 meatballs with a choice of sauce. Our tween loved his meatballs and spaghetti. The bread was nice and crunchy. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly done. The atmosphere was quaint. The place isn’t large but it was warm and inviting. The negative was the family size sides were not what we would consider family size."

"Berretâs Restaurant gave us one of the best meals weâve ever had. Lovely, casual dining room. Great menu. Friendly people from the moment we walked in until we left. Delicious salads. Excellent, excellent entrees. The best crab cakes we have ever eaten. Marvelous texture, flavor and presentation. The pistachio encrusted salmon was perfect. The blueberry peach cast iron cobbler was fantastic. One thing that we really can say about this restaurant is that you can sit, dine and actually hear the conversation at the table!! It was wonderful. If I was to have one complaint, it would be the dipping oil used for the soft, warm bread. It had very little flavor or color. But then, the bread was so good that the oil was not really needed. Berretâs is a great restaurant! Thank you!!"

"Our appetizers from grilled octopus and the artichoke and oyster bisque soup were excellent. The oysters and artichokes almost melt together. We both had fish for the ducks. We were thrilled to find branzino and black redfish. Both were perfectly prepared. The wine list was extensive. A white burgundy matched the fish. Our waiter, Sebastian, was attentive, professional and took time to be friendly as we have spoken for the restaurant and our dinner. It was an unforgettable dinner."

"I had the shrimp and chips. The shrimp and fries were good but the coleslaw tasted “spoiled”. I was unable to eat it. However, the tartar sauce was the best I’ve ever had. If they sold it in a jar I would purchase it. We sat on the patio and it was about 10-15mins before we were greeted. A server told us our actual server was very busy so they were going to take our order. We never heard from our “actual” server but the server we had did provide good customer service. I also had a Mai Tai, it was unique and different than what I expected. However, it was okay and extremely strong which was good."

"I absolutely adore this place, whether I'm visiting for lunch, brunch, or just to enjoy a cup of coffee. The atmosphere is fantastic; I prefer the cozy interior for work while sipping my coffee, and the lovely outdoor seating is perfect for hanging out with friends when the weather is nice. Their bakery items are exceptional, especially the cheese Danish—it's simply delicious! I'm also impressed by the high quality of their espresso drinks, which is remarkable given their diverse menu. I particularly enjoy their almond orange blossom syrup in my coffee, as well as their new raspberry dulce potion. The eggs Benedict here are also outstanding. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable. This place is a must-visit!"

"We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels & clams which had white sauce over them - sauce reminded me of New England clam chowder - very different than what we expected but delicious. I had the stuffed salmon as my entrée and my husband had the ahi tuna - both dishes were very good. I'd recommend Pier 106 to anyone visiting Milwaukee."

"Update: increased a star because owner responded thoughtfully and kind. Give them a try! I loved their Biscuits and Gravy breakfast plate! Their hash browns are like really thick square patties so just a heads up. We were expecting normal hash browns like the shredded potatoes. For anyone with sensitive teeth, their bacon today was reeeaallyy hard. We also swung by their bakery section to take some cupcakes home. The chocolate cake was dense and almost brownie texture so not a fan. The buttercream was delicious though!"

"Our server Joey was exceptional! He was very attentive and provided helpful information about the menu, answering all our questions. He made us feel welcome and took great care of us. I highly recommend visiting Gatsby's Landing for delicious food and drinks—10/10! I can't wait to go back!"

"The restaurant offers some decent lunch options, particularly the fish, but their availability is quite inconsistent. Sometimes the food is ready before 11:30 AM, but often it isn’t. When I go out to grab lunch, I count on it being available since I don’t have time to wait in line. Lunch typically starts around 11 AM, so if the food isn't ready by then, it feels like a waste of time to make the trip—especially in the bitter cold. This might work for those who work in the building, but it's not ideal for others. Additionally, I've encountered some staff members who were not very friendly, which detracted from the experience."

"The service at this restaurant is outstanding. While dining, I witnessed a table nearby become upset and claim racism when they felt they didn't receive flawless service. However, the waitress, Sara, was clearly busy managing multiple tables and doing her best to provide excellent service. It was disappointing to see the family at that table, particularly their white friend, trying to manufacture problems in order to receive a complimentary meal. The servers at this restaurant work hard to satisfy demanding customers, and they deserve better treatment. The food here is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. Keep up the great work!"

"Our waiter was wonderful, but the food and drinks left something to be desired. I got the meatball trio the beef was excellent, the pork forgettable, and the chicken was not good at all. We ordered the hot buttered bourbon and it was...strange. The butter somehow separated from the drink and it somehow tasted watered down? I really wanted to like this place so maybe they were just having an off night. But probably won't go back."

"My first visit here for an impromptu brunch The air was welcoming and unassuming, leather vintage chairs for comfort and cozyness, surrounded by a slightly eclectic decor. We sat outside and familiarized with the wobbly table easily balanced with some pennies. We ordered drinks and main courses, truffles Mac n cheese and a burger, as we read in the menu, the grilled Brussels sprouts catch our eyes and we now have a clearer picture. The Brussels sprouts arrive and they’re amazing, slightly charred with hints of balsamic and a light spice ensemble that rounded it up perfectly. Bravo. The Mac n cheese and the cheeseburger arrive and I can confidently say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time, carefully crafted every small bite had its own gravity, the white cheddar was married by a light horseradish and crispy fried onions, the fresh tomato balanced it with gusto and brought it back to the beef patty, juicy and fresh with a hint of a sweet after bite. Delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a slight crunch that energized the dips, a homemade mayonnaise with a pinch of pink salt and organic ketchup, married into the perfect bite and scooped with two fries simultaneously. Again. Bravo. Perfect brunch and perfect settings. What life little moments are made of. Do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds here."

"My side salad was like a soup salad, way too much dressing. Asked for a Lettuce wrapped burger and I got one small piece of Lettuce that didn't even cover the burger. I asked the waitress to check before I ordered to make sure they did a lettuce wrapped burger so i could pick it up to eat. She checked and said no problem. If I wanted to eat burger like a salad I would order a salad with a burger patty. I wanted to hold the burger and eat it. Next time I'll go to Bubba's 33 they have an excellent Lettuce wrapped burger."
