"Just went here, 11:48pm they close at 12am. I wanted 3 sodas. We wait at the drive thru and see the manager run out the door and go back inside. The drive through light and machinery was on and working. We waited for around 5 minutes and said hello and tried to get their attention. No one answers the drive through so we pull to the window (with 2 cars ahead of us getting their food and drinks) and we wait another few minutes (11:57pm at this point) and a employee comes up and tells us it is closed. We say we just want 3 sodas even though it isn’t closed and if they could accommodate that since it takes 5 seconds. Then, the manager comes up and RUDELY says “We are closed” and complains that she worked 11 hours and wanted to go home. She stated that they closed at 11:55pm (even though it says online that they close at 12am). She then said have a nice day after ignoring us just asking for the 3 sodas and could even pay in cash if the credit machine is turned off and slammed the window in our face. Very rude and I get it okay you wanna go home but 3 sodas takes 5 seconds and does not need to be rudely taken. She could’ve kindly stated that they were closed and said come back in the morning or go to the other location that is open. But she was nasty and did not want to do her job. Do not come late night even though they are open and do have their to do their job. We all work long hours and could’ve been happier with a soda."

"The service here deserves zero stars. I ordered from a kiosk that wasn't functioning properly and wouldn't accept payments. When I tried to pay at the counter instead, I was completely ignored by four employees for several minutes. Frustrated, I ended up leaving and going to Jersey Mike's instead. Overall, it was a terrible and rude experience. I wouldn't recommend this place."

"All I wanted was a Coke and a breakfast sandwich, but while I waited, I noticed the place was in disarray. The trash was overflowing, the floor was dirty, and there was a grimy rag on the table next to me. I get that many places are understaffed right now, but this McDonald's was overwhelmed, and it seems like the management needs to step up. The employees were clearly struggling to manage orders and couldn’t address the mess around them. After spending way more time than I should have in this chaotic McDonald’s just to get a sausage biscuit, it better be hot when I finally receive it."

"I believe it is important for all employees to be grateful for their jobs and greet customers with a smile when taking orders. However, I am extremely frustrated with the service at this restaurant. Every time I visit, I am always asked to move to the reserved section and wait for my order. If I wanted to wait for my food, I would not go to a fast food restaurant! The management really needs to improve the way this place is run. I used to give this McDonald's 4 stars, but now I can only give it 1. It is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. As of 3/25/22, it is still the worst. It is not even 4 o'clock and we had to wait in the drive-thru/waiting area for 10 minutes. This is unacceptable, and to make matters worse, they forgot my drink! Almost every time I come here, I am asked to wait a few extra minutes for my order, usually because of missing fries. This place really needs to get its act together. It is completely disorganized and they are never prepared."

"I tried the burger shortly after lunch and I have a feeling it might have been left over from the night before. The top of the bun was mushy and fell apart when I tried to bite into it. The cheese was a darker orange than usual and had started to dry out and harden at the edges. The ketchup also looked like it was beginning to dry up. Despite these issues, it was still a McDonald's burger, so it tasted pretty much the same as always."

"I keep giving this McDonalds a try thinking next time it will be better but it never is. The Big Mac I received today was horrible. You could just look at it to see how hard the buns were without even touching it and both hamburger patties were super salty and looked like they had been sitting for hours and the fries were super salty. I wasn’t able to eat any of it. I’m not super picky, but McDonalds you need to do better. I won’t be back. Chick-fil-A will be my go to from now on. I don’t even care if I have to drive farther to get it. The food is always good and the order is always right. I don’t even know how this place is even still open. "One of the more modern facilities. Honestly, the nicest and cleanest locations I've seen. The staff were very kind and patient, and even brought the food to my table once it was ready. Probably the freshest food I've had at a franchise. Sandwich was neat and warm, fries were piping hot and not over-salted. I fell in love with McDonald's all over again. It's far from home, but if ever in the area, I'm coming back! "I have been a fan of the sandwiches at this restaurant, especially the egg mcmuffins, but I have had repeated issues with my order being incorrect. Despite asking for 2 egg mcmuffins with no butter and no cheese, I continue to receive them with cheese but no butter. This morning, when I arrived home, once again I had 2 egg mcmuffins with cheese. I even confirmed with the staff that they were mine, and they assured me they were. I cannot tolerate cheese or butter, so this is frustrating. "during the holidays I stopped in the whitman ma mcdonalds for dinner on the way to home from shopping and at the overflowing müll in the recepticles with tablets on the müll that people had left. each table was dirty with left food dried ketchup and/or müll, raw serviettes etc. the beverage area had open straw and müll over the counter. I mentioned this to the young man in the cash register and tried to be polite and said I am sure that they cannot see this area from behind the cash register, but this place was discouraging."

"The drive through was not a fun experience. Tried to order and was getting rushed through the drive through before I could even say my full order even though I was being polite and asked for a minute. So I pulled away to go inside and order only to find a large group of people waiting in line at the register with no employee there to take orders. So i decided to use the kiosk rather than speak with a person at the register to order food even though if you pay cash you still have to pay at the register (felt like a waste of time waiting to use the kiosk and then waiting in another line to pay). I left rather annoyed instead of eating there simply becasue the wait inside was too long, and in the drivethrough i was being rushed. I can't speak for the food but the environment and customer service there was very lack luster"

"I visited this McDonald's on my way to Bible Study, and I had a great experience! "Ordered a McDouble bundle and the fries were not cooked correctly they were cold and soggy ruined my appetite. I called to fix the problem and the manager didn’t help me at all she just kept telling me that she was cooking everything fresh so I told her no my fries are cold and they look white she still tried to argue with me and when I ask who am I speaking too she said the manager I asked for her name and she kept going on that it was impossible that she cooked everything fresh I told her maybe one of your employees took it out the fryer too soon and she said no. She told me to come in and show her the fries and I told her no it’s too late it’s a inconvenience for me because this was my 30 min break and it was just terrible service and food, the manager never solved my problem instead tried to argue with me and tell me I’m wrong 1 star for me."

"I have been a frequent morning at Bethalto site for several years. Today I was at 7:20 for my breakfast and drinks. I had problems with my coupon and the girl waiting for me was new, but the manager was more than helpful to get what I needed! When I got my sum, I hardly had enough money when I thought I had more in my pocket, another $20 bill. I went by to make my tea and the girl waiting for me asked if I had just dropped a $20 yes! That was mine! The nice young man who is there every day to clean the dining area had found it immediately and it was in- and since I was the last customer, they knew it was mine! Believe me, I'm very well aware that they don't have to be honest and give up, but they have it! I was back home to see if I dropped it in my highway when I knew I had it. But- your employees were both SO honest and friendly You should be very proud of them both and I wish I had got their names now because they both deserve a real recognition from the owners for this good deed! Hopefully, this date and timestamp can help you determine who they are and again THANK YOU BOTH for my $20 back!"
