"Was visiting Chicago and found this spot. When we got there it seemed like a cool sushi spot and I was really looking forward to it. The drinks were not that good. They tasted very sugary. The appetizers were good, but the service was terrible. Our waitress, Jess who was also the restaurant manager was terrible. She barely checked on our table. We were waiting there almost two hours before our one sushi roll came out. Then the next rolls came out about 20 minutes later and the waitress who brought it out didn’t even know what roll it was. It should be noted that tables that arrived after us were getting all their rolls before us, and not one at a time they were getting multiple rolls at once. It was at this time I asked our waitress Jess to cancel the remaining rolls and to give me the check. First she said she had to check with kitchen to see if she could cancel the rolls. Which is ridiculous if a customer wants to cancel an order they can, that’s how any other normal restaurant is ran. Then magically our remaining rolls were suddenly ready, and they said they couldn’t cancel them but they could pack them up to go for us. Then Jess said why don’t you want the rolls and why do you need to leave, do you have an emergency? I explained it was the service, I didn’t feel like going back and forth with the restaurant manager so I just paid the bill and left. If they are that hard pressed where they can’t cancel three rolls, let them have it. Based on the their customer service they won’t be in business much longer anyway. The sushi itself was decent, but the customer service was terrible. They need to hire a real restaurant manager that knows how to properly run a restaurant, if they want any chance at being successful"

"FINALLY! It is so hard to find a great sushi restaurant in the Aventura Sunny Isles Beach area, but finally delivers Shigemi! We had it twice and both were fresh, delicious and fast. The first was a birthday party delivery for 20 people who all left happy, and the second, was just a quick UberEats order for 2. Spicy Tuna, California, salmon sushi, toro sushi, shrimp tempoura special role, etc... to name some. FYI: This is where the old “Sumo” restaurant was; opposite Pinnacle Acqualina in strip with Timo."

"The fish is incredibly fresh, and the salmon (sake) sashimi surpasses that of many of the more expensive sushi restaurants in town. While some of their rolls tend to have an excess of mayo-based sauces, we prefer to stick with the simpler options. The quality is consistently reliable, and the service has improved noticeably lately. I've been enjoying meals here for many years and look forward to many more visits in the future."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"This is a neat little restaurant right near Quincy Market. We shared the bang bang cauliflower, which I found tasty but a bit too spicy for my liking. I did the avant gard’n ad my main dish and it was very yummy. It was also a bit spicy. The “egg” I ended up chopping up and mixing into the full bowl, so I didn’t think anything wrong with it. Good place to go if you’re with non-veg as well. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-24"

"This is my go-to sushi restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with great specials and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is also fantastic. On Mondays, it can get busy due to their $1 nigiri night where you can get a generous piece of fish on rice for only a dollar. They also offer excellent cooked dishes like beef and chicken teriyaki, as well as my personal favorite, their Udon noodle soup. If you love good soup and noodles, you'll love this place as much as I do."

"Firstly, let me say that I have had the pleasure of visiting this establish for the past 15 years, at least. The service provided by Tim is always top tier, he remembers names when you walk in the door, and is such a sweetheart. The sushi is always so fresh it’s eye rolling good. My favorite thing about Matsuyama is the atmosphere, it’s great to bring friends but it’s also great for date nights or just those nights where you want to be alone. I hardly ever do reviews for restaurants, but when a place truly deserves a good review, it was a no-brainer. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND COME HERE!"

"My partner and I got in line on a Saturday night at 10:30 and waited probably 45 minutes to get in. We could hear the music from the stairs outside and knew it was worth the wait. The two item minimum is a fair and reasonable price no matter where you go, but especially in Manhattan. We were first seated at the only spots available when we walked in, two spots at the bar, behind a wall. But after walking through the rain and waiting in line, we didn't mind. I considered asking our server if we could move when other chairs opened up, but he beat me to the punch and moved us right next to the music. My partner tried 3 different sakes and enjoyed them all, and I was a big fan of the lemon drops. We also got the octopus with wasabi and chikuwa with mozzarella cheese, and we could not recommend these more. The wasabi had a nice kick but wasn't unbearable, and this is coming from someone who didn't enjoy wasabi until now. And the chikuwa was delicate and delicious. Our server said it was his favorite on the menu and we can definitely see why. Tomi Jazz is worth the wait and it's gonna be at the top of our list whenever we're in the area again."

"We just finished eating at this wonderful resturant. This resturant is hidden in a small shopping center. The atmosphere is amazing. The walls of the resturant are covered in the chopsticks of frequent eaters. The sushi is prepared artistically and with skill. I had the Vampire roll. Normally I get a spider roll or something spicy but I felt adventerous. It was delicious. The crab was cooked better than I have had at many five star resturants. I also had the seaweed salad and it was delicious. Under the seaweed was a normal salad that at many resturants you have to order in addition. My friend had the teriyaki beef and the tempura garnish was the best! Be wary though the large Ashaki was huge! Not really a bad thing though!"

"I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there, the hostess didn't confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut, which was roughly a $ 20 price difference. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which it came off like), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost."

"We arrived just before closing, approximately 45 minutes prior, and were delighted by the beautifully prepared dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. The chef displayed remarkable skill; this was easily the best sushi I've had in Southeast Michigan. Our server was attentive and genuinely kind, as were the other members of the waitstaff. The food was served with impeccable timing and professionalism. Although we were conscious of the closing time and didn’t linger, we wrapped up our meal about 20 minutes after closing. Our server was incredibly gracious, making us feel like honored guests and welcoming us even after the restaurant had closed."

"I gave an extra star for the service which was nice but food itself is really just 1 or 2 stars. This place has an expansive menu, as it has both Thai and Japanese food to offer. However it doesn't quite do either very well. Portions are small and cost is expensive. One of the things we ordered was udon and it was $10 for literally soup and plain udon. No garnish or anything added. It definitely caters to people who don't care about authenticity or don't know what Asian food really tastes like. Sadly I will not be returning."

"I went to this restaurant for dinner last Thursday, and I was very disappointed with my experience. The sushi, ramen, and dumplings were all mediocre. However, what really turned my stomach was a large cockroach crawling on the booth where I was sitting! I called the waitress over to inform her about the roach, pointing directly at it. At first, she pretended to inspect the table and claimed it was just a stain in the wood. I told her to look where I was pointing, and she finally acknowledged the roach. She simply grabbed a napkin, picked it up, and walked away without addressing the issue further. When she returned to collect our check, that was the extent of her service. I paid in disgust and left feeling absolutely appalled. I will never return to this restaurant."

"the best place to eat sushi in fenway. it is my cozy restaurant and we went on a Saturday night. the tables are at a distance so that they do not empty the table next to them, and eating is amazing. for a packed Saturday night, the service was initially somewhat slow to get our main course, but drinks and apps came on time. highly recommended!"

"For my main course, I had the garlic cilantro ramen with extra broth and noodles. The flavor of the broth was a fascinating combination, leaving a lingering taste of the best-fermented vegetables paired with meat and a subtle hint of garlic from the noodles. While it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, a sprinkle of chili flakes or my personal favorite, sriracha, could easily remedy that. However, to my utter disappointment, I discovered a fairly large and quite sharp piece of plastic in my ramen. I found it while slurping through the third mouthful of noodles, which was a total letdown. I was so disheartened that I had to spit it out and then stared at the counter for a good 10 minutes, contemplating whether I should continue with the meal. What else might I find if I kept eating? In the interest of safety, I had to abandon the ramen and say goodbye to my hopes for a great meal. Rest in peace, Majikku Ramen—I'm afraid I won’t be ordering from you again."

"Wanted to try something else and a little quirky with the Tokyo Hamburg family seemed to fit the bill. It is in the K town and offers an interesting fusion of food. It was a rainy night and hardly anyone was in the restaurant we had the place for ourselves. Food quality is not excellent, but very good. My daughter tried the classic Hamburg steak, which is essentially a large meatball with some onions on the side, that you cook on a small chef that is part of your plate. It is not your usual meatball, but well seasoned and very tasty. I had the Rib Eye Katsu. It is an interested bread, raw piece steak served with a small, heated cast iron plate you use to cook your own meat. It was also very good. We also tried the cheese catsu and a cheese udon. All the articles were interesting and a bit quirky for us who were just what we were looking for this night. I would go back to experience the different food style and want to change the pace."
