"Was visiting Chicago and found this spot. When we got there it seemed like a cool sushi spot and I was really looking forward to it. The drinks were not that good. They tasted very sugary. The appetizers were good, but the service was terrible. Our waitress, Jess who was also the restaurant manager was terrible. She barely checked on our table. We were waiting there almost two hours before our one sushi roll came out. Then the next rolls came out about 20 minutes later and the waitress who brought it out didn’t even know what roll it was. It should be noted that tables that arrived after us were getting all their rolls before us, and not one at a time they were getting multiple rolls at once. It was at this time I asked our waitress Jess to cancel the remaining rolls and to give me the check. First she said she had to check with kitchen to see if she could cancel the rolls. Which is ridiculous if a customer wants to cancel an order they can, that’s how any other normal restaurant is ran. Then magically our remaining rolls were suddenly ready, and they said they couldn’t cancel them but they could pack them up to go for us. Then Jess said why don’t you want the rolls and why do you need to leave, do you have an emergency? I explained it was the service, I didn’t feel like going back and forth with the restaurant manager so I just paid the bill and left. If they are that hard pressed where they can’t cancel three rolls, let them have it. Based on the their customer service they won’t be in business much longer anyway. The sushi itself was decent, but the customer service was terrible. They need to hire a real restaurant manager that knows how to properly run a restaurant, if they want any chance at being successful"

Not a ounce of disappointment from this place. I really enjoyed all the dishes we had. The margaritas were so fancy and delicious. The service was great. The chefs greeted us as we walked in, which is so nice. The servers were also super kind. I love the Latin Japanese fusion. Definitely coming back in the future.Food: 5/5

This is honestly the most delicious sushi I've ever encountered in the city! The fusion rolls are incredible. My personal favorite is the Tokio roll—you won't be let down! The lobster wontons are fantastic, and the spicy edamame is a must-try too! If you're a fan of margaritas, this is definitely the spot for you! Food: 5/5

Amazing experience. I liked the sushi more here than when I was in Tokyo. I just flew back from Japan and we came here within 13 hours because we needed sushi that was more innovative. The staff is incredible, they are the kindest people. The margaritas are INCREDIBLE! We live a few blocks from here and will be coming back frequently.Food: 5/5 View menu

I like sushi and eat it quite often, and this place still surprised me. Everything is super fresh, and the rolls are delicious. I want to highlight two things the Ikura was awesome; I've only experienced this quality at Omakase tastings. Additionally, I don't know what they do, but the ginger tastes amazing. I highly recommend this place for sure!

I had the best time at Tsukiji. The owners are absolute sweethearts, and it’s very clear they genuinely care about the guest experience. While we sampled a little bit of everything on the menu, there wasn’t an item that we didn’t love. Pro tip: the lobster wontons are a MUST. Tsukiji also has some great happy hour deals, so I will definitely be back for more!

Love this place! Margaritas were terrific... unique flavors with fresh lime juice and house made syrups (we tried tamarind and hibiscus... both were delicious) Very personalized service from owners. Ordered a few rolls for the table and each of them was great. Also had a member of our party that was not wild about sushi. He ordered chicken with garlic fried rice and said it was great. Will absolutely go back. Thanks for a great evening! View menu

My drink was strong, and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. I had the chance to try something new: Fried Octopus Meatballs. I loved the artistic decor, the music, and the overall ambiance—it’s a great spot for a date night! The service was friendly, and I was very satisfied with my experience. The menu offers a wide variety of options, so I’ll definitely return to explore more dishes. Overall, it was a great meal for one! Food rating: 5/5.

As soon as you step inside, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere creates the perfect setting for a fantastic dining experience. The staff is not just friendly; they are also remarkably well-versed in the menu. Now, let’s highlight the real highlight of the meal – the Margaritas! These heavenly drinks are unparalleled in flavor and quality. What truly distinguishes this restaurant is its dedication to detail and commitment to utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can truly appreciate the love and passion that goes into every dish they serve!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
