"Rediscovered this treasure of a restaurant in downtown Sarasota. We came on Sunday morning at 11AM for brunch. I started with the Lox Crostini small plate. The chopped egg, red onion, dill, everything bagel spice and whipped cream goat cheese was a perfect blend of flavors to compliment the smoked salmon. I highly recommend this to start and it comes on two pieces of ciabatta bread if you want to share (I did not, lol). For a main I had the Italian Biscuits Gravy which was unbelievably delicious. Perhaps a smidge over indulgent, but f@ it I'm having a two course breakfast so I'm past caring about that. My friend had the Steak Egg Tacos which clearly looked amazing. Overall I was highly impressed and will certainly be back. Other observations... Bar area looked more than accommodating if you want to come for just drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating. Very nice booths for a double date or groups. Sabrina the waitress did an excellent job. Especially in accommodating a barrage of drink orders. Also got to meet the owner who was friendly."

"My fiancé and I came to this restaurant for dinner today and unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. The air conditioning was not working and the temperature inside was over 90 degrees. Despite two big fans blowing, it was still hot and humid. It appeared that there was only one server and one cook, leading to slow service. Our mini beef patties appetizer was burnt to a crisp. Our entrees, the fried red snapper and jerk chicken sandwich, were decent but not enough to make us want to come back. We hope it was just an off day, but we definitely recommend trying another restaurant. We spent $90 on food and drinks, which could have been better spent at a different Jamaican spot for superior quality and quantity of food."

"Highly recommend! The flavor of the food was delicious. We ordered the jerk chicken lunch plate and the jerk salmon. I knew this restaurant was going to be good when the sweet plaintain were actually sweet! The rice and peas were really delicious too. Not only was the food good but make sure you get the Tropical Storm Margarita. That coconut flavor made the drink instantly one of my favorites. The watermelon margarita was refreshing too. I appreciate that they are not stingy with the drink size too! The host was really kind and offered recommendations based on the type of drink we wanted. Great service, great music, and great food and drinks! I will be back again for my birthday! Yes, I’ll drag my butt from Brooklyn out to Long Island for this. Next time I’m going for the curry chicken and the macaroni."

"When we arrived we were told our table was being cleaned and would be just a few more minutes. In reality, they had overlooked our reservation, which we later found out when they came to the table and asked for our name and reservation for a third time. Food was not very good. I ordered the tilapia (fish of the day) it came out fried, not blackened as advertised. No offer to remake. My husband ordered a burger, but got chicken. The waiter offered to take it back, but told him it would probably take a while and didn't know of he'd want to wait. Also forgot my salad and had to get it taken off the ticket. Probably won't be going back after this experience, which is a disappointment, because this was one of my favorite restaurants when we were here a couple years ago."

"This place is fantastic! It's a wonderful little gem. I went in expecting typical diner food for breakfast, but I was pleasantly surprised by the unique menu! I will definitely return to try more dishes. We ordered breakfast; I had the DD's Benedict, which featured beautifully spiced jerk pork. The seasoning was just the right balance of spice, heat, and flavor. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were outstanding. Unlike most diners that serve soggy breakfast potatoes, these were crispy and delicious. My partner ordered the breakfast castle, which was excellent as well; the meat was cooked perfectly, the presentation was impressive, and the French fries were nice and crispy. The prices for the two of us were very reasonable. The staff and our waitress were incredibly nice, attentive, and cheerful. I'm definitely planning to come back, and I'm so glad we discovered this place!"

"We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. My wife and I ordered the fried green tomato club sandwich, but it was not as described in the menu. The sandwich was served on white bread with few green tomatoes and bacon, and very little Cajun mayo. The fries were also not up to par. My wife enjoyed her grilled cheese sandwich, but the only highlight of the meal was the Vidalia onion pie appetizer, which was very good. Overall, we were not impressed with the bland sandwich and only ate one of the fried green tomatoes. We give it 2 stars for the onion pie."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"This is the best place in Queens for authentic Jamaican food. The lines are often out the door, and the staff clearly knows what they’re doing. The food is freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Just a quick tip: be prepared with your order when you walk in, as things move quickly. I always order my rice and peas with gravy, and it’s delicious!"

"Another location that is well worth the visit! My girlfriend urged me to check out this place as they have happy hour from 6-10 with live entertainment. Definitely will be back!! The tasty, flavorful, the right portions are just right. The presentation of the meals beautiful! Some meals have a slight kick so be prepared for a burst. The Chef Shon who is awesome did a curry seafood pasta with mussels, conch and shrimp for me without the heavy cream as I couldn't have the cream!!! In addition, we had ackee cups, lamb, lobster shrimp and salmon combo, doubles, mango salad and they have a 2 for one, all delicious!!!Wheelchair accessibility: The door entrance is wide enough for a wheelchair!"

"The customer service here was great! We got the fried whiting sandwich, fries, strawberry lemonade, cornbread. I really want to see this place win, I'm hoping this feedback can help. Strawberry Lemonade: 3/10. This was supposed to be homemade, but it tasted like a bad lemonade mix with real lemons added. The cloying at the back of my throat from the low quality sugar meant I could only take a few sips before throwing the rest away. Fish Sandwich: 7/10. This sandwich has several components that require a breakdown. Tasty overall but could use work that could turn this into a great sandwich. I'm being generous with the 7 because I can see the potential. Bun- The bun is really good! It's a perfect size, flavor texture to complement the fish. Also it can get sauce on it and not get soggy. It was also toasted how I like! Perfect choice. Fish- Tasty but soggy. The flavors are there, but the coating and possibly the temperature of the oil need work. Tomato Lettuce: Wilted to the point where I assume they were frozen? Tartar sauce- From the jar. It's sad, because a good aoli would be an easy win- especially since they could offer fun flavors for the neighborhood like a chipotle or j Fries: 0/10. Or-Ida frozen fries that were maybe baked? Regardless, they're incredibly disappointing and inedible. They were sprinkled with a seasoning (I assume Old Bay), but they were still dry and tasteless. Avoid at all costs. Cornbread: 6.5/10. Interesting flavor with the nutmeg or cinnamon in it. I could see this being a star if it was a bit less dense. But still quite tasty, I'm just not a big cornbread person aside from my own. Anyway, I'm hoping for the best for this place!"

"In the middle of Newark you don't find much amazing food. This place blew my mind! Jamaicans are known for their curry goat, ox tail, and more, but what blew my mind was the veggie stew! This is now my go to spot for Jamaican food. The staff made sure to let me know that their special ingredient was love and from the taste you can tell they use a generous helping of it. "Caribbean Teeze is a tease that does not deliver. Not to disrespect any age group, but to make a point; I will make this analogy. Have you ever seen a video of a young woman from the back walking, and she’s got it going on; then she turns around and faces you and she’s a a toothless wrinkled 100 year old woman? That is Caribbean Teeze. The curry goat was too spicy and had a mucky texture. The rice was not cooked appropriately and at times the texture tasted like it was scooped from the bottom of the pot. AND THIS WAS NEW YEARS NIGHT! The aging DJ was past his prime spinning soft yankee hit from the early 70’s. In my opinion he should have been fired for the unforgivable sin of NOT hyping up the crowd when the 2025 countdown began. He absolutely MISSED ushering in the new year. Another man had to get up, stop him, and apologize to the patrons who had paid a cover charge to enter the establishment for the new year.. I was so disappointed, I left Caribbean Teeze shortly afterwards. That being said will I go back? Will I recommend them? A resounding NO is my answer.
