"I visited Mamma Mia for the first time two days ago, a weekday, at early dinner time, 5:30 pm. A basket of garlic and without garlic bread and two plastic tall glasses of ice water with drinking straws were brought in right away. I ordered a medium margherita pizza $30.00, about 18 inches in diameter, 6 slices, with the olive oil described in the menu on the side and two small minestrone soups $12.00 . I was told by the waitress that maybe the oil on the side couldn't be done on account of a note in italics warning patrons of no substitutions ? . Otherwise, service was fine, friendly greeting and left over packaging of pizza was done with care. The margherita was advertised in the menu as having roasted tomatoes but it came with crushed tomatoes right out of a can. Besides that little disappointment, the pizza was ok, just ok. Nothing exceptional. The soup was also good, lacking a bit of tomato sauce for my taste, but it was fine. Oil an vinegar were brought over along with the pizza. The oil was of a good quality, EVFP quality. I would advise the chef to do something to the bread rolls to make them a little softer to bite. Pizza dough cannot make a good bread roll because it is made for a thin, crunchy crust and lacks enough leavening to make a nice fluffy roll. I have a good bite, all my original teeth are still in place, but that garlic roll gave me a hard time biting into it, honest! I'm not sure how many stars to give or subtract but my experience was one of indifference, not really inviting for a second visit."
