"As a local resident, my wife and I have noticed this restaurant for some time. Last night we finally decided to give it a try. What a great stroke of luck. This place is fantastic. The restaurant is located in Crystal Cove Newport Beach. There is ample parking and easy access. As you approach the restaurant you notice the European style outside seating, the oversized umbrellas with built-in heating for an enjoyable and relaxing evening dining experience. We made a reservation for 7:45, and when we arrived and spoke with a friendly hostesses, they had our reservation and seated us immediately. The interior of the restaurant is well appointed with a Tuscan feel. The layout of the restaurant is a bit congested as there’s a few more tables in the restaurant than one would expect. The menu is outstanding with a variety of choices to satisfy even the most distinguished pallet. We were lucky enough to have Gordon as our server, totally professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the various menu selections. Unlike most restaurants the wine list is extensive, and more importantly, the wine list by the glass covers every aficionado’s taste. I ordered the lasagna, which was incredibly tasty, but could have been served at a higher temperature. My wife had the seafood risotto, which lacked a bit of creativity, and was a little fishy for my taste. Overall, we would highly recommend this restaurant."

Recently by and Amber was very friendly and friendly to me. I was looking for coffee and not pasta; but I was quickly visited and loved my espresso. You should come too!

Alright, updating my review. They have done a great job of sourcing quality food. This has really turned into a fantastic Italian spot with great drinks, food, and staff.

My friend and I visited Modo Mio and had a fantastic experience. I ordered a Caesar salad and the meat lasagna, both of which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying them. The ocean view from the restaurant was also stunning. View menu

We went there on a night before thanksgiving. So it was not particularly busy. The service from the start to end was amazing. We had the Pignoli with the house pink sauce short rib Ragout. Pignoli is a very flavorful towards a marvelous sourness. It comes with chicken and over all a good choice. The short rib Ragout is a lot simpler taste but very light and both come in a very generous portions. I was happy with the food but I deserve 5 starts for a better taste and quality. Ambiance is not as fancy as I was expecting it given the location. Prices are reasonable

We regularly visit Scottsdale and our favorite Italian restaurant in Newport is Modo Mio. The location is great and we love to sit outside under a heat lamp. It couldn't be more perfect. The food is so delicious and the staff wonderful. My men go to the Chicken Parm and it didn't disappoint. It is a huge part and each nite is delectable. I love the seafood pasta, but this time I left with the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Your Bolognese is the absolute best. It is fresh and fleshy without much noise. Some places add too much, but not Modo Mio? they keep it to its pure essence. We love the Cesar Salad and the free mushrooms that are perfectly seasoned with lemon and olive oil.
