"This restaurant is not the place for a Texas steak. I did some research for a nearby steakhouse while traveling, and this place was rated pretty good for steak and BBQ. We had dinner on a Wednesday night at 7:30. The waitress was friendly, but seemed overworked. She could have been more attentive, especially when larger tables came in after us. I ordered a ¾ inch Ribeye cooked medium, but it was closer to medium rare. I asked for a rib end and the most aged cut available, but received the mid-section without the fat cap. Some parts of the steak were tender, while others were tough and sinewy. The meat had a livery mineral taste, indicating the animal may have been stressed or not bled properly at slaughter. The overall flavor was not the best, and it was clear that the meat was not grass-fed. The grilled vegetable skewers looked nice but were undercooked and lacked seasoning. The house salad was past its prime, with soft grape tomatoes and store-bought blue cheese. The salmon entree was tasty and properly grilled. We received an excessive amount of bread, as the waitress kept bringing out baskets without considering our needs. Our drinks were not refilled promptly, and we had to ask for service from the manager once larger tables were taken care of. We felt rushed and neglected throughout our meal. By 8:30, they were turning away customers, which was disappointing. We were hoping for a quality Texas beef experience, but unfortunately, we did not find it here."

"This place is near and dear to my heart because years ago, my uncle used to work there as one of the guys who helped cook the pigs. He used to bring us that mouth watering barbecue and you could smell it long before he even got close to you with it. Anyway, as time went on, my family and I always went to Wilbers to get our bbq because at the time, there was no other place around the area that was better. Not only was the bbq delicious, everything they had was also, especially their hushpuppies. I loved them when they were hot, you could almost make a meal off of just them! But at some point, not long ago, their bbq started tasting different. Sometimes I would get some and it would either be not chopped up properly, way too much pepper, which made it too hot for me to eat, or it would have a lot of burnt pork meat mixed in with the bbq meat that wasn't burnt. And that would give all the bbq that burnt taste. When I first had this issue, I just blew it off as maybe I just got a bad batch of bbq, but then I had this to happen almost everytime after that when I would get bbq from there. I don't know if they changed cooks, or the ones they had cooking the pigs hadn't been trained properly on how to make decent chopped bbq. This is a travesty, especially as long as Wilbers has been in business serving the best bbq around this area. I had started going to Parker's in Greenville or Wilson to get my bbq because theirs taste like what Wilbers used to. I really and truly hope you guys pay attention to this review because believe me, I'm not the only one who has noticed how much the quality of your food has gone down, and that your prices have skyrocketed! Most people probably wouldn't mind paying more for their food if it was going to be worth the cost. But yours, I'm disappointed to say, is not anymore. Please consider improving the quality of your bbq back to the way it used to be. I would hate to see your business end up failing over something that could have been easily corrected."

"So we went back tonight and ate in the dining area. The atmosphere was great for adults and children! The salad was great and fresh! Deep fried Mac and cheese was great! And the pizza was wonderful. Thank you Justin for taking the time to reach out and make sure we came back we did not regret it one bit and we are happy to have you there and in our community!UPDATE, Justin contacted us from pied Piper about our concerns. He spoke with my husband and I about wanting to know how to make it better. I have have been a general manager of a restaurant and an assistant general manager for a very busy pizza place and I truly appreciate him reaching out and asking for feedback. We will give them a few weeks to work out the kinks of taking over a business and give them a honest second try. Thank you for great customer service. Much love from us who have lived in orchards most of our lives ! We want the locals to survive!I’ve been eating here for over 15 years. I have always loved it! My favorite place in town.. not any more. Today we ordered and to our surprise there are be owners and they have made changes that do not favor them at all. There was half the toppings there normally is, there have changed the type of toppings and The crust was like a frozen pizza that I cooked at home.. I’m so sad that I can no longer call my reliably friendly family owned place for pizza night ! I will go to papa Murphys before going back?????. RIP THE ORIGINAL PIED PIPER PIZZA the least good thing that was original in orchards"
