"We've been to Rusciano's a few times over the years. The Food is always fantastic and the service is superb. The owner always comes by to see how our experience is going. I love the ambiance with the oven in the main area. They've recently added some booths to one side of the restaurant, which I personally love. Booths make it even more comfortable to have a glass of wine and chat with friends. I highly recommend an appetizer (street food sampler) and a glass of wine to get you started. The mozzarella bar is great to share or enjoy as your meal. My personal favorite is the Burrata. The mozzarella is soft and spreadable, plus the bread is toasted in the brick oven. It's a perfect pairing [picture below]. The pizzas serve 1 2 people, pending on whether you ordered an appetizer or not. Desserts always beautifully served and delicious. *Always check to see if they have anything on special. Below you'll see a lasagna that was a special item the last night we went in. Parking: There are other businesses that use the same parking lot, but we've never had an issue. We like going when they first open at 4 or 5P. Kid friendliness: It's a nice atmosphere and the owner is great with kids. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cannoli, Bruschetta, Lasagne, The Iowan Pizza, Arancini, Burrata Motzarella Bar, Sauce, Tiramisu, Wood Fired Pizza, Limoncello Cheesecake, Bolognese Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot"

"We visited Deer Harbor for several days. We first went to Island Pie on a Wednesday. It was very busy and the service showed that it was. No real coordination on how to manage a busy restaurant. The owner chose to mostly visit with locals while the tourist majority were slightly ignored. Our server that evening was Greysee and she worked so hard that night while the rest of the staff leisurely went about not really doing much because there was no organization coming from the top. We came back Saturday night as the pizza is really good although extraordinarily expensive as islands are, but sat at our table for a long time early in the evening before they were busy and not even brought water. The owner was maybe 10 feet away talking to locals for a very long time about so and so who passed away and other restaurants in Olga Bay and how the tourists are such a pain. Even the self proclaimed locals at the next table apologized to us because we had to hear the complaints about tourists while we still hadn?t even been served water in the blazing sun after at least 15 min. They were embarrassed. The island clearly depends on tourists during the summer as the local who the owner was talking to even said how the island environment allows them to hibernate in winter as nature intended. We finally got our order taken and served but you could easily see the locals were favored. There really isn?t much except scenery in Deer Harbor (no hiking, no shops) so if you?re a boater as we are you might want to hit up Lopez or San Juan. They make a normal effort at minimum in their customer service, usually more. Seems like Orcas doesn?t need or want us. At least in Deer Harbor."
