"I don't like to revert to leaving reviews like this but I'm rarely in your part of town as much as I used to be. This is the second time, in a row, that I've been let down by what's ordered. The first was a little over a month ago when I ordered the cheese dip with FRESH jalapeños, as shown on the menu, and pickled ones were in the cheese dip. When I placed my order tonight, I specifically said to the hostess, no sour cream whatsoever I don't like it even if it's in a side package. When the order arrived, I didn't open it because I had entrusted the hostess, Night H , to make sure my order was placed the way I had ordered. As you can see from the enclosed photos, I still tipped close to $3 without having seen anything. I left the event I was at, trivia night next door at Beer NV, and came home for a snack. Low and behold, there's sour cream. I don't have expectations when ordering from places as that creates disappointment when orders aren't met but I can safely say that tonight, I was incredibly disappointed when opening the container with the guacamole. Call me a male Karen' or a Chad' but when an order is placed, with specific instruction and it's not met, this is not on me. Your food is consistently delicious which explains three stars but I will not be spending my money with you or wearing the zip-up New Era hoodie I purchased from you a year and a half ago, for quite some time. Thanks for making it this far into the review."

"It was in the evening of the National Margarita Day when my partner and I came here around 8pm. When you walked in, the place was packed full of people and you can hear everyone chatting away, laughing, and just having a great time. The vibe was great, you can just feel the love and the warmth walking in and greeted by smiles. We received nothing short of great service here with a friendly intimate atmosphere.Luckily there were two seats at the bar, we were happily greeted and so well taken care of right away. We received waters, chips and salsa while we perused the many great authentic menu offerings. The chips were thick and you can tell they were homemade (can't stand those chips that can't handle a dip and just break off), not overly salted, and the salsa was thick, very bright and flavorful. Of course we ordered the house margaritas right away first and they are up there with the best. Great mix of slightly sweet and not overpowering, good amount of alcohol content, just a gentle rim of salt, served in beautiful glass with a proper straw that isn't paper and a lime wedge.I settled on the Chile Relleno stuffed with steak. It came out in no time at all. They seem very efficient and have everything down to a science. the Chile still had its spice which paired so well to the thick and tender steak inside. I probably could have eaten two more at least it was beyond delicious. The black beans were so flavorful compared to other places where they can fall flat and be bland. The beans and guac come in these homemade tortilla cup bowls. It was very unique, something I've never seen before, and it makes sense not only for easier clean up but it adds a special touch to the presentation of the dish that highlights each portion and its not just all hodge podged together with ladels on a plate. Lots of care and love went into this dish and every dish, which is rare now a days in an age where things just get cranked out and they lose their quality and lack luster. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots and I look forward to coming here more often! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a real authentic Mexican food restaurant experience that will take your taste buds on a journey from beginning to end!"

"I don’t ever write reviews, but this restaurant has never disappointed me and deserves so much love! Honestly not sure why the ratings aren’t higher. So far I have only ordered tacos, but they were so good that I have done so multiple times-and I’m quite a taco obsessed fiend so that’s saying a lot : . In a taco, when there are so few ingredients and toppings beside cilantro and onion to distract you, the quality of the protein really matters. And here, every single protein has been succulent, tender and delicious. I don’t crave guacamole or sauces like I typically do when I’m given bland and chewy meat at other places, these are that good as is. BUT the red and green sauces are necessary to just amp everything up to 11, they have so much complex flavor that I could drink them like soup lol. And usually restaurants disappoint me by giving me red sauces that are barely spicy or even TOO spicy and lacking flavor aside from that; you will not have that problem here! Your nose and eyes may water if you’re weak like me but in my opinion these sauces are the perfect middle between plain savory and super spicy. There’s also such an abundance of meat in each taco that just two are enough for a whole meal!! Doesn’t mean I won’t make myself sick eating 3 more tacos than I should though ; . The cherry on top is that the ladies working here are always so sweet and pleasant, and the interior is so welcoming, bright, and homely. It’s a good location and prices are great too, just go here already!!!!"

"made reservations for 5 for Easter Brunch. The location is right in Downtown, and I am sure gets lots of business during the week. We arrived early and were seated immediately. We waited for a while before anyone came to our table. Finally the hostess came and brought set ups and explained there was only buffet available. I was disappointed since I was not informed when I made the reservations or when I called to increase the number of guests, and not even when they called me to confirm. The pricing was 30 for buffet, 40 for buffet with Mimosas and Champagne, and 50 for buffet, mimosas and beer and wine. There were several large groups, and only one waiter. He was hustling, and really needed another waiter. It took forever to get a drink. We got there at 1, and the place was a mess. Dirty dishes piled up, no water service at the tables. I waited at the table while everyone went to the buffet. when they returned, I went to get food. There were no clean plated. so I used a small oval dessert plate. There were bugs near the fruit so I passed on that, the shrimp looked old, so I passed on that Served a few things on my small plate, Chicken Chinga, chile ciquelles, and some potatoes. They had a pot pooled, but again no bowls. went to the table and all the food tasted the same. Very disappointed. Finally they had some bowls so served some pisole. That was the only real serving I had to eat. the desserts were all good, but clearly brought in. The other tables were all large groups and clearly had lots to drink. the group of guys next to us were loud and obnoxious, one said he had 13 cocktails. I don't question, based on the belligerent conversations . the other large group I think were owners of the place. They had all the attention. They were walking around with bottles of champagne and carafes of OJ. I wont be going back."
