"This was my first visit to any Famous Dave 's. I walked in on a Tuesday evening through the To Go door- which I might add is a genius idea! You can order at a counter and wait for your food, order online or over the phone and pick it up through this entrance. To the right is the hostess stand for those patrons that will be dining in. Everyone was very pleasant when I walked in. I was greeted by a young man (maybe HS/early college age). He greeted me and asked if he could take my order- when I told him I 've never been here before and was looking for recommendations- he appeared to be excited to share the menu and walk me through the most popular items. I eventually decided on the 2- meat combo (pictured) choosing the Famous Ribs Pulled Pork accompanied by 2 sides (coleslaw mashed potatoes), and all meals finish with a Corned Bread muffin. If you look at the picture you can tell I was eager to jump in prior to taking a picture. The Ribs- the best I 've had in a LONG time- they fell off the bone, were perfectly smoked and could taste in each bite. The pulled pork was cooked very well- with just enough juice, spices, and BBQ sauce. The often forgotten- sides...The coleslaw was a creamy coleslaw- which is my preference and was very good. I 'm not a huge mashed potato fan, but thought I would give them a shot- I was not let down- they were really tasty. Rounding out this incredible meal was one of the better cornbread muffins I 've had. It wasn 't dry at all- very tasty. Overall, if you are in the Waldorf area and are a fan of BBQ I would highly recommend Dave 's Bar-B-Que. I only got a glimpse of the dine-in restaurant, but from what I saw, it looked very clean, well put together, well decorated, and an overall great ambiance for any group of people."

"We had a great time here, but I wouldn’t say the food was unforgettable. It was good, but not exceptional. We were three diners and ordered the menu for two, which included ribs, chicken, brisket, and sausage. The portions were huge, and even with three of us, we couldn’t finish it all. They also customize the meal to your preferences if there are any sides or meats you’d rather not have. The value is fantastic, and our server was excellent! I have no complaints, but I’ve definitely had better BBQ elsewhere."

"I absolutely loved this meal! Tonight, we ordered two Baby 2 meat combos—one with pulled pork and short ribs, and the other with short ribs and catfish. Everything was incredibly tasty! The meat was tender, fresh, and served hot, and I was impressed by the thoughtful packaging for a home delivery. To finish off our meal, we added slices of Lemon Supreme and French silk chocolate pie. I'm usually quite chatty, but I'm at a loss for words to describe how fantastic this meal was! We've ordered from here before and will definitely do so again. Thanks to everyone involved—it was delicious!"

"My husband and I had never been there, we do enjoy a nice BBQ. Service was really friendly. I absolutely loved the Sweet Tea. Food was yummy. Do wish they would have made the bottom of my bun more crispy, wasn't able to eat w/o it falling apart., had to use my fork and not eat the bun."

"I haven't been to Famous Dave's in a number of years. Haven't been to this Famous Dave's and 10-15 years. They used to have good quality food and service. The hostesses were nice. The food was absolutely horrible. I will not recommend this particular famous Dave's. Definitely not worth the money and the quality was terrible. I would like to say this is a rare occurrence, but the people walking behind us had nothing good to say about the food and the server was quite rushing and not friendly. There were only about 4 or 5 tables. So it was not because there were too many guests."

"The food was disappointing, and the service was even worse. We were celebrating my son's 17th birthday at his favorite restaurant—Famous Dave's, which he has visited every year for the past 12 years. Unfortunately, this will be his last visit, as he has vowed never to return. At his age, he recognized that we were ignored and received overcooked, bland meals that were served cold. "When the waitress came to our table, the first thing she did was crack her knuckles... Total turnoff. Sadly disappointed when I learned that The Manhandler is no longer on the menu, I ordered the chunk pork. The flavor was fine, however, 1/4 of the serving was a large chunk of nonedible skin. The healthy side order of steamed broccoli was dried out. Remembering the warm, cinnamon/sugar apple sauce including slices of apple, I order this as the second side order and was greatly disappointed when served with a cup of prepackaged Mott 's brand, no sugar added applesauce. This was the Worst meal I have ever seen served in a restaurant and was embarrassed of the decision to bring friends family there."

"I want to share our experience with Famous Dave's in Cedar Falls, IA. In the afternoon of Friday, March 3, 2017 Ashley Pump House called to confirm our reservation for our gender revelation party later in the evening. They informed us that they screwed up our reservation and that there is nothing they could do. We spent 40 minutes French calling all places where we could think in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area to find a restaurant that could accommodate 50 people on a Friday night. Ashley finally made a call to Famous Dave's and we talked to Melissa, the manager. She asked some questions and finally said it could be a tight fit, but they were more than willing to help us. When they arrived, they told us that they only assigned a few waiters to our party. The waitresses were incredibly patient, nice and so on, all had everything they needed. When the waiters came here and started picking up all the checks, I realized I never got mine. I let the waitress know that I never got my bill, and she told me it was supervised by the manager. The manager paid for my and Ashley's dinner and my three alcoholic drinks. I wanted to let Melissa come to say thank you and we embraced her. She congratulated us and said something else. Melissa then called on Saturday and left a voice mail that thanked us and said she was glad that they could take our party. I have never had such amazing customer service and we are so grateful for everything Melissa and the waiters have done for us. And the food is soooo delicious! It was one of the best nights of our life."

"I heard that they have a new general manager, so the food has greatly improved at this restaurant. Their burnt ends and Texas style brisket are both delicious. They offer three sauces, but all of them are a bit too sweet for my taste. Luckily, the brisket is so good that it doesn't really need sauce. The banana pudding dessert portion is huge and tasty. If you're taking the brisket to go, make sure to ask them to skip the piece of toast they put under the meat, as it can make the brisket dry before you get home. They also have a fantastic Rewards program and daily happy hour specials."

"We made a reservation through Open Table and the host could not find it. Luckily, the restaurant was not too busy or we would have been asked to wait regardless of the reservation. While we were greeted right away, and soft drinks came fairly quickly, the standard lunch items took about 15 minutes to arrive. There were only two servers for the entire restaurant. Both were doing their best but that was not enough staff. Food is fine, rib tips were tasty but not much meat. Sausage was a generous portion for lunch. Restaurant was not very clean. The cutesy stuff they have on shelves looked dusty. The quaint custom of writing on the walls wasn’t fun, just looked unkempt, and the sauce bottles were sticky messes that did not appear to be wiped down after each patron left. We had an unfortunate drink spill and no effort was made to clean it up so we literally sat, feet in a puddle under the table for the whole meal. A three or three and a half all in all given the basic food, the lack of staff, and the slightly dirty interior."

"I had wanted to try them out for quite a while so today we drove by the Flint, Michigan location we stopped to check it out. 3 of us ordered the baby back rib, the st. Louis style ribs, beef brisket, bbq chicken, french fries and side salads. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, very attentive. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. We ordered and the salads came out fast. Side salad with italian and a caesers. Both were good. Then the rest of the food came. The bbq chicken was very nice, cooked well and not burned like a lot of bbq chicken tends to be. The brisket was dissapointing. Small portion, fatty and not much seasoning. The corn muffins are awesome. The baby back ribs were very fatty and could have used a little more cooking. The st louis style ribs were excellent. The portions for the prices charged seemed quite small and they were super stingy on the french fries. They bring your food out on a metal tray and for a $20-30 meal, the tray was half empty. Wtf? Throw some french fries on it! Not sure i will be back but if i am will NOT order the brisket!"

"I came to this restaurant for my birthday after not being there for a while. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress me this time. The coleslaw was subpar and the beef brisket was too fatty. The ribs were okay but not as good as they used to be. My son complained that the lemonade was watered down and my daughter didn't enjoy her burger. On a positive note, the cheese curds were tasty. The sweet pickles had a unique flavor and satisfying crunch, although I usually enjoy all types of pickles. The fries were pretty good and we all loved the cornbread muffin. The service was excellent, and there was a nice mix of music playing in the background. The restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere overall."

"I dined at this restaurant last night, and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was quick and friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the food was outstanding. Our family ordered a full meal with four different dishes, and surprisingly, even before we found a table after placing our order, the food was ready. I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans, along with a brisket platter that came with mac and cheese and hush puppies. We also took advantage of a promotion for a free order of pulled pork nachos, which were delicious. The pulled pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. We received a single container of BBQ sauce, but I found it wasn't quite enough, so we had to request more. The brisket was delicious but a bit fatty, as expected. The mac and cheese was excellent, and so were the nachos. I had never tried hush puppies before, but these were dense and tasty. Overall, I was very happy with R&R and would definitely return if I'm in the area. This place deserves to rank higher in Google search results!"

"Once we were finally seated, the food was excellent. However, our waiter seemed a bit disorganized, and it looked like several other servers were helping him without proper communication among them. Our food took about an hour to arrive, and surprisingly, my salad was the last item served... who would have thought that lettuce would take so long? Overall, it was a mixed experience."

"My granddaughter loves the Bull, today I said I would eat there because she talked so high of it. She had brisket, veggies and salad w water. I had the Bull, w smoked cowboy beans w ice tea. "I was pleasantly surprised by the negative reviews! Every time we have dined in or ordered takeout from Famous Dave's, we have had a great experience. When you don't feel like cooking dinner, Famous Dave's is the perfect choice! Last night, we ordered the feast for two with BBQ beef brisket (you can also choose Georgia chopped pork). The portion size was huge and we will definitely have leftovers for days. Even though it's advertised for two people, it could easily feed four. The food was fresh, hot, saucy, and the fries were crispy - perfect 10/10! To top off our meal, we ordered a pie from Bakers Square. We selected the French Silk pie and it was absolutely delicious! Ordering through the app was super convenient and our meal was ready on time. The staff was friendly and if you're in the south metro looking for something tasty and different, I highly recommend trying Famous Dave's."

"This Pollard's Chicken is located at the corner of Great Neck Rd. and Virginia Beach Blvd. It is easiest to get to it from heading west on Virginia Beach Blvd. or south on Great Neck Rd. I have passed this place several times over the years but had never made it in here until then. My first visit here was around midday on December 31, 2021. There was parking available when I came in. However, there was quite a bit of traffic as there is a Starbucks pretty much next to this place and they were extremely busy that day. It can make it difficult at times when it is so busy there at the Starbucks. After taking an outside view of the place, I went inside. It wasn't too busy inside, and since I had looked at the menu online before coming in, I had an idea of what I was looking for. I went up to the counter and they were ready for me to order. I ended up going with the fried chicken with two breasts and two legs. For the sides, I chose the macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The cost was similar to other fried chicken joints in the area. A few minutes after ordering and paying, one of the workers let me know that it would be about 15 minutes as they needed to cook some more chicken. Many of the other people waiting were delivery drivers for food delivery apps. Even though I didn't order a drink, they offered a drink cup to me for the wait. It's these little things like that that make things a bit better. After about ten minutes or so, my order was complete, and I was able to pick it up and head home to eat it. After getting home, I opened the box and it looked really good. It had everything I ordered in there. Even though it took a little while to get home, everything was still hot. All of the chicken there was really good, and it was tender and juicy too. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sides were really good too. The puffs were good as well. Overall, I had a really good experience for my first visit to Pollard's Chicken. I am totally adding them to my list of places I will come back to. Next time, I think I am going to try the roasted chicken. If you're looking for a good, local chicken place, this place definitely fits the bill, and you should definitely cluck (check) them out."
