"This Pollard's Chicken is located at the corner of Great Neck Rd. and Virginia Beach Blvd. It is easiest to get to it from heading west on Virginia Beach Blvd. or south on Great Neck Rd. I have passed this place several times over the years but had never made it in here until then. My first visit here was around midday on December 31, 2021. There was parking available when I came in. However, there was quite a bit of traffic as there is a Starbucks pretty much next to this place and they were extremely busy that day. It can make it difficult at times when it is so busy there at the Starbucks. After taking an outside view of the place, I went inside. It wasn't too busy inside, and since I had looked at the menu online before coming in, I had an idea of what I was looking for. I went up to the counter and they were ready for me to order. I ended up going with the fried chicken with two breasts and two legs. For the sides, I chose the macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The cost was similar to other fried chicken joints in the area. A few minutes after ordering and paying, one of the workers let me know that it would be about 15 minutes as they needed to cook some more chicken. Many of the other people waiting were delivery drivers for food delivery apps. Even though I didn't order a drink, they offered a drink cup to me for the wait. It's these little things like that that make things a bit better. After about ten minutes or so, my order was complete, and I was able to pick it up and head home to eat it. After getting home, I opened the box and it looked really good. It had everything I ordered in there. Even though it took a little while to get home, everything was still hot. All of the chicken there was really good, and it was tender and juicy too. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sides were really good too. The puffs were good as well. Overall, I had a really good experience for my first visit to Pollard's Chicken. I am totally adding them to my list of places I will come back to. Next time, I think I am going to try the roasted chicken. If you're looking for a good, local chicken place, this place definitely fits the bill, and you should definitely cluck (check) them out."

A longtime ago.... Born and raised in Virginia Beach and have been going to Pollard's since I can remember. Have used their catering service many times as well. If you can get passed a few of the rude cashiers, you'll love the food!

Such a staple in the hampton roads area! I remember eating there as a child as well. The puffs with honey are lovely and the green beans are the best i've ever had besides homemade. I usually get the chicken tenders which are fried to perfection always! View menu

I was immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant. Although I usually enjoy their hamburgers, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had Brunswick stew on the menu. I can say that it was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant was very clean. Stop by 100 London Bridge and try their shrimp dish!

I had fond memories of this Pollard 's from the time I was a kid. Well I ordered the 3 piece lunch, Dark Meat. It came out in a jiffy. I had a leg and two things. A side of Homemade Mac N Cheese and Greens with a Diet Coke. Here is the result, the Chicken was Fantastic! Juicy, hot, fresh, and just like I remembered.
