"I want to share our experience with Famous Dave's in Cedar Falls, IA. In the afternoon of Friday, March 3, 2017 Ashley Pump House called to confirm our reservation for our gender revelation party later in the evening. They informed us that they screwed up our reservation and that there is nothing they could do. We spent 40 minutes French calling all places where we could think in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area to find a restaurant that could accommodate 50 people on a Friday night. Ashley finally made a call to Famous Dave's and we talked to Melissa, the manager. She asked some questions and finally said it could be a tight fit, but they were more than willing to help us. When they arrived, they told us that they only assigned a few waiters to our party. The waitresses were incredibly patient, nice and so on, all had everything they needed. When the waiters came here and started picking up all the checks, I realized I never got mine. I let the waitress know that I never got my bill, and she told me it was supervised by the manager. The manager paid for my and Ashley's dinner and my three alcoholic drinks. I wanted to let Melissa come to say thank you and we embraced her. She congratulated us and said something else. Melissa then called on Saturday and left a voice mail that thanked us and said she was glad that they could take our party. I have never had such amazing customer service and we are so grateful for everything Melissa and the waiters have done for us. And the food is soooo delicious! It was one of the best nights of our life."

Wow, I’m from Texas and this grill is really good, 95% of the time. I highly recommend the ribs and the jalapeño mac 'n' cheese.

Yum! Some of the best food we had in time! My husband loved the ribs (St. Louis style) and I had a delicious cheeseburger. All employees were super friendly so we had everything we needed. We'll be back.

Famous Dave's in Cedar Falls delivered a ton of food to us on 9/11. We didn't order it. They decided to show their appreciation for what we do on a daily basis by feeding us. Thank you very much for everything. Our food was amazing. -Waterloo Fire Rescue, Station 5, A-Shift.

The food here is consistently excellent, and the service was very good as well. This was our first visit back since we moved from Iowa five years ago, and we were impressed by the changes made because of COVID; the new process was seamless. The food was absolutely cooked to perfection. The smoked brisket and ribs had great flavor. The real standout, however, was the catfish—it's the best I've tasted in years! I was truly impressed. The sampler plate was fantastic, and I was very pleased with the BBQ sauces; they were rich, tangy, and had just the right amount of kick. Exactly how I like it!

I visited here Monday night for a quiet date night with my wife. The experience was pleasant with many reminders of the southern BBQ to which we are both acquainted. We both had Georgia pulled pork and the St. Louis ribs. The marinade was excellent as was the textures. In addition to the food, the service was great for a weeknight during the Pandemic. The waiter regularly checked on us and drink refills were free and available upon request. We would return again!
