"Wonderful lunch menu and experience. Our server Hailey was engaging and on point. It's been a long time since I've had an excellent server experience but Hailey truly delivered. Thank you for the recommendations."

"I've been to Mon Ami Gabi in Reston many times, mainly for business meetings. I always order the Steak Fritte Classique. Unfortunately, this time the food was subpar. The steak tasted like it had been cooked in old butter or a dirty grill. There was a noticeable degradation in the quality of the food since the last time I was there. Our waitress was nice and attentive, but made a mistake splitting the check 3-ways. When the manager tried to fix it, he also made a mistake and brought the wrong check. Without going into too many details, the interactions with the manager were digusting. He was a slime and very condescending. He blamed the poor waitress, which showed horrible leadership on his side. As a manager, you never blame a team member and always have your team's back! We pointed this out to him. We also pointed out to him that not once did he apologize. Needless to say he tainted our experience."

"It is unfortunate to see the decline in quality and service at this longtime Bethesda establishment. The last few meals have been disappointing, and it appears they have reached their lowest point. It is a positive development that they are closing this week for remodeling, although it seems like a mistake as the ambiance was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. Hopefully, the renovation will allow them to start fresh with improved kitchen operations, service, and management. If not, it may be worth taking a short trip on the metro into DC for better food and a superior dining experience at a similar price."

"We had the four course meal. The server was friendly and helpful. The veggies from the cheese course were a bit sad and wilty. Four small broccoli florets, two baby carrots cut in half, 3 slightly brown pieces of celery. Salad course was excellent. Main course was good except the shrimp came out already gray with black edges. We didn't even attempt to eat it. Chocolate course was excellent as always. All in all not a bad experience but the quality of some items has gone down since the last time we ate here."

"This is definitely our top choice when we're craving a meat feast. I used to think I didn't like hearts of palm, but after trying them here, I've changed my mind. Now I'm seasoning and marinating them just like they do at Rodizio. It's also one of the first places that comes to mind when we have friends or family visiting. It’s absolutely worth it!"

"Had a wonderful date night dinner. Food and service were both top notch. Only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen entrance. Constant traffic in and out and every time someone goes in, or out they have to yell out “corner” so they don’t run into each other. Not exactly a romantic atmosphere. All the same was a good evening out."

"ignore the negative reviews and try this place before they list it. my fiancé and I had an early Valentine's Day dinner here and had an explosion, we were served by annabelle and she was amazing! she kept our drinks filled, gave good talk, made sure our food service was over and beyond. server as they are the reason why we like to go out. She made us the date night unforgettable. evan was also fantastic, he was on him constantly keeping the dining area cleaned and ensuring that we had a good time. he even apologised us about a table that is inadmissible after others just left it was not creepy, it had only one fondue pot on it) we enjoyed the conversation we had with both and appreciate how hard they both worked tonight. we went one night here and I forgot the names of the young, but it was our first time here and he brought his camera and took a film photo for us. He explained how everything worked and suggested whenever he could. this place is great from food to folks. we recommend you to come here because they will always make good memories! eating is always good, how could it not be if they choose what they want and cook it themselves. we always get the four cursor meal for two, it is an experience that all in themselves with friendly staff who adds it. They even gave us a box of strawberries on the house to Valentine's Day. we have lived in michigan for about 4 months, so we have only been twice, but we are already telling others about the great time we have. it is worth every minute a penny here even after the two-hour experience we find our own enjoying the environment so much that we just sit longer and talk to everyone."

"After receiving a gift card from a friend, we decided to give the Grove one last chance. The parking lot was full, so I asked the hostess for directions on where to park. She directed us to a spot across the street, but we couldn't find any parking other than in residential areas. After driving back to inform the hostess that we were having trouble, she tried to help, but we still couldn't find the parking area and ended up parking in someone's yard. To make matters worse, we had to walk across the street in the rain. When we arrived, we were told we couldn't be seated early due to a private event, even though the main restaurant was quite quiet. Then, when I tried to order my first drink, I was informed it was unavailable because they were switching suppliers. My husband also inquired about an item we had seen on the online menu, but we learned that those menus were different and the item wasn’t available. Additionally, we felt rushed to order our main entrees because the kitchen was backed up due to the private event, despite the restaurant not being very busy, with many empty tables. If the restaurant can't accommodate regular guests, perhaps it should consider closing to the public during such events. Sadly, our food was just average. It’s very disappointing to say that the Grove is no longer a place we’d choose to visit again."

"Food was very good. I had the bourbon chicken (2 nice-sized breasts) with sauteed green beans (with slivered almonds) and garlic mashed potatoes. On the other hand, service was not good. Waiter didn't know the potatoes had garlic in them and aparently didn't know checks meant more than one check. Took forever to get the check in the first place and he finally needed a relieved to get them split out for us. Overall, it took longer to get our checks than it did to get and eat our food. Annoying. I'd eat there again, when I visit Maryland, but hope I get a different waiter."

"We have been going to Melting Pot restaurants since 1998 in Richmond Va. and made to the two in St. Louis. And now we go to the one in Red Bank NJ. In general, it has lost its appeal to us over the years. The portion sizes have gone down and the pricing as gone up. The California salad is a quarter of the size it used to be. They used to offer lots more vegetables with both the cheese and main course and those were refillable. I think they still do offer additional veggies, but you start off with a lot less. You used to get what felt like a half a loaf of bread with the cheese course, last night we got what looked like half of one bagel sliced up. For dessert, you used to get cheesecake and pineapple. All the fruit was refillable too. Today, no pineapple and cheesecake is extra. The menu is a little confusing too, it lists prices individually, but you have to order for two, but there is an off menu option for a single person. Very Confusing. The service in terms of personality and showmanship is great, no complaints, but Red Bank is very understaffed and our dinner took an extra hour because of it. Getting our initial order in and time between courses was much longer than needed. I do not think we will going back any time soon. It is just too expensive for what you get these days."

"We sat at the table and no one greeted us, or brought us anything for about 10 minutes. There was a loud table next to us with kids. We finally got a server which seemed a little disgruntled. The evening ended up fine and the food is always good."

"This was my fourth or fifth time at Melting Pot and honestly, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. I want to preface by saying that our server was fantastic very kind and personable! My issue was specifically with the food and wait. We arrived shortly before 1:00 pm for lunch. Despite being seated immediately, we couldn't leave until almost 3:00 pm. We had a thee course meal (cheese, entree, and chocolate and waited atleast 30 minutes between each course. The worst part was the entree. We received the frying oil atleast 25 minutes before the actual entree. It seemed like the oil had burned for too long or gotten too hot by the time we were able to start frying as the food tasted bitter and burnt. We fried 1/4th of the ingredients and had our waiter take the rest away. He offered to bring out another cooking style, but we had already been there for so long and honestly just wanted to leave. We asked him to bring the check with the dessert fondue as to expedite the experience. We waited another 30 minutes or so for our dessert fondue and almost immediately paid. The timeline of the experience was so bizarre. We've waited way less between courses during much busier times here. We didn't come here in a rush or anything, but we didn't expect to wait 30+ minutes between every single course (after we had already finished the previous one."

"update: cate (owner) was friendly enough to invite us to dinner and it was the experience we had expected to visit our original visit. I can't thank cate enough for everything she did to make it right. we really appreciated it and will definitely be back. I don't even want to give a star! worst experience we've ever had and we? ve went to numerous melting pots in different states. cheese came cold with a dried film on the top, so we send it back. they ask for another beer, because we had already done that we had, because after half an hour the waitress never came back to check us out. the waitress has the nerve to ask if we still want our cheese because our salads are finished? what? So she sends over manager who is all maybe 20 and says what I can do to make them happy. we said we were just waiting for our beer and going (mind you it?s was an hour and zero eating) then she asks if we want to keep our salads in check? has not composed our drinks and has offered us nothing. so disappointed and not what we expected when we try to celebrate our jubilee,"

"We had an outstanding experience. Our server was incredibly helpful and a delightful person, and the two managers who helped us were very good. I can't praise enough how great they were. Additionally, they have upped the good and while it used to be good, now is fantastic and the portions are perfect. We never ran out of anything during the fondue experience. I strongly recommend this place."
