"This is not a review of the TGI-Fridays restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, but rather a 1-star review for Open Table regarding their handling of our reservation. We had a reservation through Open Table for 6:00 p.m. on December 24, but when we arrived at 5:50 p.m., the restaurant was closed and locked. It was incredibly disappointing that Open Table would confirm a reservation for a restaurant that was not open at the scheduled time. This left us in a tough spot as most other restaurants in the area were already closed. After this experience, we have decided not to use Open Table again."

"Reserved two tables well in advance for an after wedding party. Called to confirm these reservations and confirm the tables would be together also in advance. Got there and the tables were separated which made for an awkward dinner experience with our families trying to spend time with each table. I was super disappointed and if we had been able to go somewhere else, I would have."

"it is sometimes difficult to evaluate restaurants when the economy is this cripple and nobody can work people etc. but it is still our experience here at this time. the waitress was quite brilliant. we had an autistic child with us, which was currently undecided between 2 meals. She was so brilliant and just knew how to work with him. it was so fluid and natural and easy to see and experience ingenious. so thank her for this experience! we started to start with the huge appetizer and everything there tasted great and a great start to the meal. my better half and I ordered a long island. the service of these drinks was somewhat slow and probably not attributable to the server. they were pretty decently mixed. our meals were warm when we got them. not super hot as they sat under the heat lamp too long. but my salate was the right attempt, lol. everyone was happy enough with the foods and aromas."

"this is my first time here and I was satisfied with every aspekt of the service. we were greeted by a wonderful host (not sure his name,) but he was an older man who was very friendly and relaxed. our server was bj and he was excellent. his service was fast, but relaxed and attentive to our needs. the food was excellent and beautifully presented. I had the southern fried chicken blt with a side of cole Slav. I see no reason to give this place less than 5 stars. the music was not overwhelming and the entire atmosphere was very beautiful."

"Food was pretty good, service was great. But omg it was SO LOUD!! I get that they were doing a music bingo or something with a DJ, but we couldn't even have a conversation without literally yelling across the table at each other! It was completely unnecessary for a restaurant; this is not a club ffs. Probably stick with doordash for this place"

"I could not wait to try this place, so I am disappointed. I ordered takeout because it was late and figured I would sit and eat next time. Now, that will not be happening. I ordered a hamburger and cheesesteak however, it took an hour to receive it. I did ask for an update because there was a lack of communication with customers. However, I had to talk to three different people to get the truth. My food was given away by mistake. I am usually pretty understandable. But, I did not appreciate the server who had an attitude or the hostess who did not want to reveal that they did not have my food. Maybe they were overwhelmed. Things like this happen sometimes and I feel that I should have been given the opportunity to eat somewhere else. Instead I was kept in the dark and was informed my food was being made. In reality though, it doesn't take too longer for an order such as mine so of course I was concerned. I did eventually receive my order and was told I would receive a refund the following day. They took my number but it never happened."

"This was my first time here and I already told my wife I want to come back for more football. I got the fish and chips and they were excellent. Dominique did a great job and was very attentive to our table whenever we needed something. Definitely a great place to come for family time and football. Brandon, one of the managers, was very kind and polite to my family and I. Thank you Hickory Tavern and can't wait to come back."

"I was so disappointed! I have been a loyal HIckory Tavern fan/customer since the beginning. We stopped for lunch yesterday before we catch a movie. The first thing we noticed was how dirty the floor was. The food and paper waste under any high top in the bar area made it look as if nothing had been blurred or carved in weeks. But we decided to overlook this because they weren't awfully busy and we came in and out quickly. The servers worked hard because they had two separate, rather large parties, but they still had no sense of urgency in the task. We also saw inappropriate behavior, which was exhibited from one employee to the other who left us in unbelief. I had a burger who might have been the worst hamburger I've ever eaten. It was barely lukewarm and the pommes were cooked. I had unsweetened iced tea and asked for sweeteners. It never came and finally I searched it myself through another server. Our server took the order, it was delivered by kitchen staff and it never came back to our table to check on us. We even had to look for them to get the check. There are 7 or 8 more restaurants to eat in Sun Valley Shops. We decided badly yesterday, but we will not make this mistake again."

"I dined here for the first time and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The atmosphere was fantastic and perfectly suited to the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal outside, which was lovely and spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The standout dish was definitely the Pretzel Bites appetizer with cheese dip—they were absolutely delicious! In hindsight, I wish I had just ordered that as my main meal. I opted for the Shrimp Tacos with a side of Yellow Rice, but the shrimp were undercooked and lacked flavor. The toppings were quite sparse, which was disappointing."
