"I was so disappointed! I have been a loyal HIckory Tavern fan/customer since the beginning. We stopped for lunch yesterday before we catch a movie. The first thing we noticed was how dirty the floor was. The food and paper waste under any high top in the bar area made it look as if nothing had been blurred or carved in weeks. But we decided to overlook this because they weren't awfully busy and we came in and out quickly. The servers worked hard because they had two separate, rather large parties, but they still had no sense of urgency in the task. We also saw inappropriate behavior, which was exhibited from one employee to the other who left us in unbelief. I had a burger who might have been the worst hamburger I've ever eaten. It was barely lukewarm and the pommes were cooked. I had unsweetened iced tea and asked for sweeteners. It never came and finally I searched it myself through another server. Our server took the order, it was delivered by kitchen staff and it never came back to our table to check on us. We even had to look for them to get the check. There are 7 or 8 more restaurants to eat in Sun Valley Shops. We decided badly yesterday, but we will not make this mistake again."

Had been in in April for a friend's birthday and loved the Tavern salad. We went in after an errand in Charlotte and got a salad and a half order of nachos.

Used door dash, but got my nachos and they were cold, as if sitting out for a long time. I had to put my own sour cream on and reheat the whole thing. There was not enough of the chili,beans cheese on the nachos. I am totally upset paying 15.00 for it .

My family and I consistently enjoy wonderful experiences whenever we visit this restaurant! It's a fantastic place for delicious food. Additionally, Amber has always been our favorite server; she is very friendly and communicates effectively. I’m so glad we discovered a location that offers both amazing food and wonderful people! Just ate lunch here with a slightly large group. It may have been a bit aggravating for our server, But Amber the server handled us with great care. I’m definitely going to have to recommend this restaurant to anyone that will hear me. Next time I come back I’ll have to request that Amber is our server again Ps. The Philly cheesesteak is pretty good

This is an excellent place for watching sports. The food is decent overall, but I would suggest steering clear of the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It was quite disappointing, as it appeared to shrink to a small 4oz flat piece of chicken—definitely not worth the price. To be honest, even McDonald's offers a larger chicken breast. I wish I had taken a picture because the chicken was practically obscured by a huge bun. On the bright side, my wife's BBQ Chicken Nachos were really good.
