"We had reservations at 7:00 on Saturday night, and when we ended up running late due to the storm that parked itself over the suburbs, the hostess was very accommodating. The place seemed pretty full but not packed or hectic the bar looked to be the busiest area, which was unsurprising given that it was Game 5 of the Blackhawks game. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had the crab cakes for an appetizer; I had the French Pork Chop and my boyfriend had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. We split the pound cake for dessert, and have literally zero complaints about the food everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Drinks wise we both had flights: he had a Scotch flight (the Higher and Higher one, I believe) while I had a fruity red wine flight. Both were excellent; again, no complaints. If I had to make one criticism, it was not the fault of the restaurant: there was a group in the back room that had a couple extremely loud children that kept running around the back dining room and screaming, while the family ignored them to hunt down random waiters to get more beer. Again, totally not the fault of Flight 112 whatsoever, but it was really distracting (and the reason why I rated the noise level at moderate the previous time I was there, it was pretty quiet and relaxing). One more thing: I LOVED the music! It may not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea (or glass of wine), but the alternative rock music from the 90s to now surprisingly fit the scene quite well. Keep it up!"

"My husband and I, both with experience working in restaurants, were extremely disappointed by the food at Ledges hotel. Despite the beautiful atmosphere and convenient location for hiking, the food fell short of our expectations. Arriving early for our reservation, we enjoyed the free cocktail hour but were surprised to find no host to seat us. We ended up sitting at the bar where we received our cocktails from the bartender who also turned out to be our host and server. While he did his best, it was clear that this was not the ideal setup for fine dining. The Fonduta app was served cold, the focaccia was subpar, and the mains were also disappointing. The pork chop lacked chutney, the gnocchi was cold and covered in marinara instead of mozzarella cream, and the mushroom risotto had no cream at all. We opted to skip dessert and ended up cooking in our suite and getting pizza for our remaining meals. We were deterred from trying the restaurant at Settler's Inn despite a breakfast voucher due to our experience at Glass. This was unfortunate as we had initially planned to bring our family back in the Spring. We hope that management takes this review seriously as we had hoped for a better dining experience given the effort and savings we put into it. The only highlights were the wine and protein.
