"gluten free paradies! Monday was the perfect night for our jubilee dinner. we had very attentive staff, it can be difficult to get an excellent service in a not so busy night. I have celiacs and the gluten-free menu had amazing options. the personal had the luck, what it means to have a gluten allergy and to have taken my allergy seriously, even to ask if I could eat blue cheese. (a potential source of cross-contamination) eating was delicious the soufflé was excellent. my man saw no need to order from the not GF menu. Five stars! I wish we could eat more often there! great ambiente!"

This is one of my favorites in Walnut Creek. You can count on great, inventive and tasty morsels in every category. Paired with a great wine list, all meals are special. I went this time with two friends to celebrate a birthday. We sat outside and it was a lovely lunch. The waiter was attentive but did not hover.

We have been going to va de vi for years now. This was the first time we experienced both bad quality food and very bad service. Our server was rude, didn’t pay any attention to us and than lied to the manager about us being rude to her. The manger was even defending her. We were the only non whites and didn’t feel welcomed by the server and manager. View menu

We showed up 15 minutes early for our reservation but were still seated right away! Server was very attentive and even comped a drink order that my date didn’t care for. It was a bit noisy and wished I was offered to sit outside, but I would still come again and recommend to all my friends and family. I drive past almost every day so I’m glad I finally got a chance to try this gem!

We have been loyal customers at Va Di Vi since its opening many years ago. However, tonight we ordered seven dishes and had the worst meal we've ever experienced there. The quality has dropped significantly. For instance, we were served a floury and overcooked risotto, as well as a mediocre mixed green salad. The service also fell short of the high standards we've come to expect, and given that the restaurant was mostly empty, there really is no excuse for it.
