"I had the opportunity to visit Walnut Creek today and was excited to have lunch at Lokanta, as I had enjoyed dining there a few times before the pandemic. However, my experience today was disappointing compared to my previous visits. The highlight of my meal was the cocktail I ordered. I decided on the meatballs, baked prawns, rice pilaf, and roasted Brussels sprouts. The rice was average, but everything else was overcooked. The meatballs were charred, tough, and dry, lacking flavor. Similarly, the prawns were dry, chewy, and overcooked. The Brussels sprouts were the worst of all, appearing black and shriveled, and tasted disgusting. When I mentioned my dislike for the dish to the server, he took it away and brought back the same burnt Brussels sprouts. Despite only tasting one and disliking it, I was still charged for the dish. This was a first for me and left me quite shocked."

Beware the business is closed but the phone number is transferred to a different restaurant at the same spot. They don't tell you upfront it's a different business when you call to make a reservation. Maybe trying to use glorious Yelp reviews. Just something to consider it's a different business now at the same spot.

I regret to inform everyone that this fantastic restaurant in Walnut Creek has closed down. I will miss their delicious signature dishes, top-notch service, and the complimentary bread and olives before your meal. However, the owner Fevzi has another restaurant in Pleasanton that offers the same wonderful dishes from Walnut Creek. In my opinion, it is definitely worth the trip!

This restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek! Everything is super fresh flavorful and delicious! Anything you order here is amazing! My go to is the lamb and chicken skewers beet salad macaroni and cheese brussels sprouts pita bread with the hummus and Tzatziki. Not only is everything delicious but it's also super affordable especially being in Walnut Creek. The owner is very attentive and kind and so is all of the staff. This is a staple for me and my husband and we eat it probably thrice monthly. Their gyro with lamb/beef is phenomenal and the greek potatoes are next level. We always order the zucchini cakes with tzatziki and it is 10/10. Their house bread with the olive oil is to die for. I'm not sure if this is a best kept secret or what but there is never a wait to walk in and sit down and they always have reservations available. They're also on DoorDash and the food is always fresh, even if you order for delivery. Highly recommend and will continue to eat here all the time!

What a special find! My boyfriend and I happened to be in the area and decided to stop and try this location. We had no idea what it was, let alone what kind of food we e were about to try. All I can say is how happy I was that we found Lokanta! The restaurant was very nice inside! I was say that it is more classic rather than laid back. Our waiter was fabulous! He was so helpful in giving us tips on what to try based off of meat preference, how much food we wanted, and popular sides. I tried the chicken kebab, couscous, and the Brussels sprouts! All so delicious! I highly recommend trying this place out if you are in the area!
