"I am speaking purely from pick up experience, not delivery, although it’s a beautiful, bright, spacious, and clean restaurant with dine-in options so I imagine that would be excellent as well. Every smoothie, sandwich, and bowl that I have tried from original grain has been absolutely amazing and SO fresh! I am now hooked! The sandwiches and bowls in particular are SO densely packed with high quality fresh ingredients, and SO many of them! Each bite is a burst of flavor in your mouth! They really pack so much into these sandwiches and bowls. They looked deceptively small to me but the bowls lasted me three meals and the sandwiches two meals (one half kept me full , especially after a free side of their warm amazing variety of soups I got as a free side for getting a smoothie and sandwich combo. Very highly recommend if you love very healthy and tasty takes on some classic favorites like BLT, kung pao (kung POW! chicken, Tex-mex, chicken bacon ranch, etc. You will come away feeling so much better without any gut or stomach problems and they taste even more delicious than their unhealthy traditional greasy origins. I am beyond shocked that they only have one location in Rochester and one in Syracuse. Original Grain should at the very least be a state- wide chain by now. Consider that the speed at which the friendly and helpful employees make the food is faster than most garbage fast food places, the prices are only slightly higher, and you’re giving your body love while satisfying food cravings instead of artificial trans fat filled garbage that just makes you feel yucky. Please check this place out!!! They are opened from 8 AM to 8 PM M-F and Saturday, with sandwiches and bowls available after 11 and they are sadly closed Sundays (would be a perfect Sunday brunch spot for dining in!"

"The place is nice. Food is fresh. The chicken however was terrible. Tasted like detergent was in it or some kind of cleaning product. Maybe the spices they used just gave me that taste. My friends tasted it and said it didn?t taste like any cleaningstuff. And it was super salty, almost inedible. They agreed on the part of the saltiness. Had to throw out allll the chicken.Went to an employee, told him I didn?t like the chicken and was throwing it out. I asked if I should give to him to throw outand he said ?the trash is over there.? I knew where the trash was. I only asked the dumb question to see what he would say, ifhe would offer to give me another protein to replace. He didn?t. Didn?t even apologize for me not liking it. Super poor customerservice in that regard. Paid 14 bucks or so. And I was really dissatisfied with that. Because I basically just paid for grains, greens, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and corn. But hey those things were decent and fresh at least and they did give alot, for me to eat twice. The dressing options were ok. They did let me try a couple so that I would make sure which one Iwanted. I wouldn?t go back. Unless I?m super lazy to cook or make my own bowl way better than them. And definitely can makebetter chicken. Will definitely only but the bowl without any protein. Not their strong suit. The egg looked good but anyone canmake an egg. Would give 1 star but gave 2 for the fresh ingredients and their cool designed, bright and spacious location."

"Summary: apparently all the money has been invested in making the place look pretty, with little left over to actually make the food taste good. The food appears to be what the menu calls it in name only. It goes to show that you can name a dish anything you want, and it barely requires a passing semblance to it. While the visual aesthetic of the restaurant was interesting, and the staff attentive, it was hard to hear them say anything over the loud pounding music. As a matter of fact, when I walked in, I couldn 't even hear the host come up behind me and ask if I 'd like to be seated. The rice in the oyakudonburi was undercooked and crunchy, in the entirety of it was covered in a spicy mayo that made it oily and unpleasant. The flavor was all muddled up, and it was a bit of a chore to eat (I say eat , but I mean consume for the sake of sustenance, not pleasure). The yakitori consisted of small, flaccid pieces of chicken with no flavor of their own. A sweet American style teriyaki sauce was drizzled all over it and the water logged pieces of green onion it rested on. One has to wonder how many days ago those onions were prepared. These kinds of skewers are supposed to be grilled, however there was no texture or char marks to indicate that the meat had been cooked that way. I 'm sure there 's a segment of the population that will find this place enjoyable, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this to anybody I know. The staff seemed kind enough though, so I can 't say that it was all together a terrible experience."
