"The food here is great and I think it's a good size for the price. There's enough seating everywhere and you get a discount if you wear a Hawaiian shirt/have a Hawaiian ID. There are a lot of plants everywhere. The staff here were friendly too. But when you pass by, it does look like it might be closed because it's so dark."

They forgot to add the topping (tobbico/fish eggs) but still charged me for it. The containers used for to go orders are a bit leaky given all sauces.

I have celiac disease, so I really appreciate that everything is gluten-free (except for one item). The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and I absolutely love the flavors in each bowl combination!

The food is generally fresh and delicious. However, the rice is a bit dry and not fully cooked. Additionally, the miso soup is only slightly warmer than room temperature, which isn't quite right for an Asian soup. View menu

The food was absolutely delicious and I really loved the presentation and the speed of delivery. I ordered the Shashimi style bowl with salmon and with avocado toppings. It's one of their best sellers and I can vouch for that after tasting it.

Similar to Picnic, this restaurant offers excellent ingredients. As a vegan, I often discover which restaurants serve dishes that truly stand out. Pono Ono is impressive. Everything is fresh, and the sauces are outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the gochujang.

Most Hawaiian theme place in evanston. Inside has the most foliage I have seen in an indoor restaurant. Quite beautiful, really. Even the employees are wearing Hawaiian shirts.Got the fire tuna poke bowl. Was good, nothing really new or special to me. Just too much mayo for my liking. Overall, it's not bad.

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."
