"Saturday 10/12/24 was my fourth visit to the distillery over the past seven years. Previous visits have been delightful. My enthusiasm for the place made my friends eager to try it on our weekend trip to Baraboo. We arrived just before 5pm. The restaurant and tasting room was packed. We were offered a table outside or we could wait until 7:30 for indoor seating. We opted for an outdoor table, which would have been great if there weren’t 20mph winds and temps in the 50s. Servers were overwhelmed but tried their best. There seemed to be a disconnect between the bar and the restaurant since we waited 20 minutes to receive a second drink after ordering. Bus staff talked loudly next to and over diners and really shouldn’t assume that people don’t speak languages other than English. Host was a tad condescending. Perhaps some remediation and retraining of staff is warranted? I completely understand that restaurants operate on thin margins and that food prices have increased dramatically since 2020. Regardless, prices were rather high given portion size and quality. I live in Chicago and visit New York City regularly. Having dined extensively in both cities I was shocked at the menu prices at Driftless Glen. Cocktails contained a heavy pour so that’s always a positive. I’ll give Driftless Glen another try next time I’m in Baraboo, but it won’t be my first choice as it has been in years past."

My wife and I were in Driftless twice this past Tuesday. Kristina and Katie were great. First time in the afternoon just to be sure we got there, and again in the eveining since we had time. This place is one of our must stops when in the area. Voir le carte

Such a scenic patio. Sitting out on the river deck, I saw so many ducks land on the river. Really enjoyed the flights. Enjoyed the gin and bourbon flights. Had a tasty flatbed pizza. Very pretty small town of America. Been to a lot of distilleries and this was a great one. So glad I stopped here

This place is closer to a 2.5 for me. I thought it was pretty underwhelming. Our table of six had the Deviled Eggs, Tuna Tartare, and Bacon Wrapped Dates for appetizers. Those were pretty solid all around. The issues we had were with the entrees. None of us liked them for various reasons although the worst was probably the Shrimp and Grits that had this weirdly sweet BBQ sauce on it that ruined the whole dish. It was awful. The rest of the entrees were undercooked and oversalted. We didn't bother with dessert. For cocktails, I had the Blackberry Old Fashioned. It was pretty good but the place is a distillery so...yeah. All and all, we were pretty disappointed. Prices were high too. Service w...

"A cozy family style restaurant with great service and the best pie I've had in a long time! Good prices made it a great deal on a rainy winter night in Wisconsin Dells when I needed a home style meal while attending a conference. A friend suggested this restaurant to me. Her family had been going there for years and she was certain if like it because it focuses on family style meals. I was not disappointed. I ordered a rib dinner and pie for dessert. I right the ribs would be grilled because of the picture in the menu. They appeared to be oven baked or boiled but they were tasty. I prefer grilled ribs and would not prefer that meal again. Still, the meal was plentiful. It was a good deal and a lot more than I could eat in one setting. If falling off the bone is your thing, you'll love these ribs. Be sure to ask for extra sauce on the side. The meal came with salad, green beans, corn, and bread. NOW, the pie! OMG! That pie! I ordered the banana cream pie and thought I'd died and gone to heaven! The crust was light and flaky. The filling was sweet and creamy. It was pure Nirvana! I wanted to just sit there and eat THAT all night long! AMAZING! I even took a slice back to the hotel with me for the next day. It was simply dreamy! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll give you this restaurant for pie and coffee. Even better than the pie, the service!!! My waitress was simply fantastic! She was attentive and pleasant. She knew how to ask questions and seemed to be enjoying her job. Everyone working there was smiling and moving about purposefully. Nobody was acting as if they didn't want to be at work or as if the customers were inconveniencing them. They all served to work well as a team to make the dining experience pleasant for their customers. I really appreciated that because it's so rare these days. Overall, there only real challenge was the construction on the road outside the restaurant but that's not their fault. I'm pretty sure it's temporary. Your GPS will take you right to that construction. But there are back roads that lead you around to a parking lot. Ask any of the locals and they'll help you get to the parking lot. Or just be curious enough to find it. It's well worth the effort and you won't be sorry. I recommend you order the pie. No matter what your meal, stay for the pie."
