"Wow, the food here is truly excellent. This has quickly become my favorite spot in downtown McKinney! The grilled cheese was fantastic, the soup had the perfect texture and flavor, and I really appreciated that each plate included a little Hershey’s Kiss. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our order arrived promptly, which I really appreciated. I don’t visit this area often, but if I’m in the neighborhood, I’d definitely love to come back for lunch and try something different!"

"1st time here. Service is excellent kind Very loud and noisy cafeteria, Texas typical. Super loud. Free chips salsa: spicy salsa is good: the regular salsa tastes like canned tomato. Ordered the fajita taco salad in shell. Dressing option i chose was creamy chipotle: that dressing is a vinaigrette, and it has quite a bit of sugar. There’s nothing creamy about it. There’s no cream in it at all: maybe management has previously changed the ingredients or is confused? I requested a small queso and use that which worked great. The fajita meat seem to be a good quality cooked very perfectly with a tiny bit of pink in the middle. Only problem is there was less than a tablespoon on the salad …. if that. Typically, I cannot finish a taco salad, but I cleaned the bowl on this one.. a small female. (The portion of meat was very minimal). The beans are canned black beans and they put corn in it, which is really nice but I am not sure if the corn was frozen or canned. There was one tomato cut in half a little cherry tomato. Drink was water from tap. For the price, they can most definitely do better. This was not a $20 meal by far."

"For our anniversary dinner, which we had booked weeks in advance, we were seated at a cramped and noisy bar table. The only acknowledgment of our special occasion came from the host. We ordered the market price for a pound of crab, only to find that I received perhaps three ounces of meat from a single claw. Their response to our dissatisfaction was a mere $25 refund. I've never felt so disregarded, even at chain restaurants. My husband and I enjoy discovering new places to celebrate our anniversary, and we'd been eager to try Urban Grill. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found our reservation table was a small bar top for two, which I dislike, especially on such an occasion. Despite this setback, we tried to make the best of it. The host acknowledged our anniversary, but that was the last notable gesture. Our server Debra was friendly and attentive, and the food was indeed good. My husband enjoyed the lamb and the "little piggy" drink. I ordered the surf and turf, featuring filet and Alaskan king crab. While the filet was excellent and perfectly cooked, the crab was disappointing—just one long claw with maybe 2-3 ounces of meat. The sides were delicious, and we enjoyed the apple fritters and crème brûlée as well. However, when we received the bill, my surf and turf cost $105. The filet itself was listed at around $39, meaning we paid over $60 for a meager amount of king crab. For the same price elsewhere, I've had far larger portions. The market price for crab is listed at $69.99 for a full serving, so it felt like we were charged an excessive markup. In summary, while the food was tasty, the steep prices, uncomfortable seating, and lack of meaningful acknowledgment for our anniversary left us unimpressed. Unfortunately, due to these factors, we won’t be returning."

"What did we think of the restaurant? Right from the start, it was impressive, giving off a great vibe as soon as we walked in. Although it’s small, the cleanliness and hygiene were definitely up to standards. Here’s what we ordered: **Crispy Vegetarian Spring Rolls: 4/5** They were good but not extraordinary. **Veggie Curry Puffs: 5/5** It felt like a delightful fusion of Thai and Indian cuisines—like they got married and had an incredible reception! They reminded us a lot of spicy Ghughra/Samosa, typical Indian appetizers. **Roti Curry: 5/5** This was truly unexpected! We experienced a hint of Indian spices blended with authentic Thai curry—an exceptional combination. **Yellow Curry: 4/5** It was tasty but arrived a bit later than the rest of the order, so we didn’t enjoy it as much since we were already quite full from the other splendid dishes. **Panang Curry: 4/5** The flavor was really good. "This restaurant is not what it used to be. I ordered the Texas Double Burger and it wasn't made with hamburger beef like it used to be. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was. The burgers used to be nice and greasy, made with all beef. I also got overcharged. I definitely won't be returning."
